I've always loved the mother brain boss fights. Imagine being the galactic federation and wanting MB dead You have to storm a brutally harsh planet (zebes) survive the acid rain, the deadly native creatures being manipulated by MB to be more aggressive, fight through treacherous caverns, possibly swim through a lava lake, kill multiple space pirate leaders, survive a hoard of metroids and then still have to fight your way through her zebetite defenses/ringas/Cannons to even be able to fight her at all. Only samus could have stopped her.. let alone twice

I love how you included the little flashback at the start of super Metroid. That is done well mate. Also god damnit, I have never seen any video about mother brain fights that included the warioware one. Really great video, especially for including references From entirely different games (like WarioWare and SSB), and also cutscenes and flashbacks. Also, literal pictures inside Samus returns that show a single scene from a Mother brain fight? That's so good.
I find it absolutely fascinating that there's no explanation given to what the Central Units actually are. Obviously they resemble Mother Brain in both appearance and mechanics, firing off those energy rings, but what *are* they? Why do they resemble Mother Brain, why are they necessary for the EMMIs to function, and what is the source of the power that transforms Samus' arm cannon? Such a weird enigma that's just plopped in the middle of the game with no explanation whatsoever, and I find it utterly fascinating and hope they get some sort of explanation in future titles.
Super Metroid was just something else, dude. I finally got to play through it a few years ago and I finally understood why everyone loves it so much. Played through it multiple times, actually. The Mother Brain fight freaked me the hell out! I didn't expect it since I was so used to playing Zero Mission.
Yeah, the people who made Super Metroid didn’t want to make another sequel to the series because they thought Super Metroid was the perfect game to end the series. It literally took another company to make another Metroid game.

Other M may have been terrible story and gameplay wise, but you have to admit those were some awesome cutscene graphics. Kinda reminds me of the Halo 2 Anniversary cutscenes
I think that Mother Brain don't deserve to have such terrifying and powerful boss theme in Super Metroid... like... like look at her body, she looks like an ugly dinasour rather than menancing and insanely powerful ultimate life form.
