Hadn't heard them live before, a newfound appreciation! Definitely a song that defined the '80s. The 'Firestarter'-esque hair style is etched in my memory of those days - such as it is. ;)
Must of been the first time the crowd had heard the song cuz nobody was dancing. I remember watching their video of this song on MTV when I was 7-8 years old. The best part of MTV when it first came out was they didn’t commercials! Later that’s all MTV or any other TV station is all commercials!!! 🙄🤣😂 ✌🏼
Nope... this is from the UK show The Tube. I believe this episode is from the fall of 1982 & "I Ran" was released as a single in March of that year. The audience on The Tube was always SUPER picky and judgmental. AFOS weren't as popular in their native UK as they were in America. A lot of Brits saw them as a joke or a novelty act because of Mike's crazy hairstyle.
@@AJ17_ Jeez, well that’s lame! But still at the same time if it came in March of that year, I would say that still is a relatively a new song, cuz I’m sure not everybody had obviously heard it. But I get it too, if there’s a lame picky crowd, but come on, cuz if I’m at a live show I’m at least rockin out, tapping my foot, or headbangin to a live show! 🤘🏼✌🏼
One of the greatest new wave bands from the 80's. Paul Reynolds was a genius on guitar. Crowd were a bunch of lame ducks. I would have been dancing my asz off on stage.
One of the worst songs ever. I was in HS when this hit MTV and my friends and I laughed our heads off. (Then put on some Floyd to get this washed out of our ears)
@@gregusmc2868 Flock of Seagull was far more exciting for the teenagers then Floyd in the 80s. New wave was a fresh new sound, just like rock n roll was in the 50s. It kept my hormones going.
Guy??!?!? I just left a Flock of Seagulls concert and they rocked it even today, so don't be a hater. I have every Pink Floyd album and have seen then many times back in the day....and Flock of Seagulls are still a relevant band. Value your opinion, but you're missing out on the value of bands like Flock of Seagulls. p.s. I'm going to see Psychedelic Furs in a couple of days...another great band. :D
Most 80’s song I’ve ever heard
one of the most
An excellent sonic experience, they were pioneers in the early 1980s
One of my favorite songs from the 80s. I remember roller skating to this song over and over.

Oh 0 thank you so much, I forgot about the song, brings back memories, good memories
Love you Reno
My goodness the crowd is so dead, this song is a masterpiece, I would have rock with them
They could be Scandinavian. They're known for this. Lol...
I noticed the same! Dead crowd or stoned on some bad ass weed!
this is magic!
What a tune 😂
Paul Reynolds, what a gun guitarist!
I love this song
Excellent 80s Hair!
No , no one wore.
That was jello gelatin in those days for Mohawks and I’m guessing his hair too. I don’t think hair spray could hold that in place
Best live❤
Oh yes!

How do I explain this to my kids?
would have liked it and subscribed if the silly logo wasn't across the middle

Vid/Audio running faster than normal

That crowd blows
Great music but you banner is very annoying...Why??
Great video except the logo thru it the whole way
that hair..... and to think he's bald now
tolle band seinerzeit. die frisur des sängers sieht aus wie eine Stcukversion des prodigy frontmans
Gotta love the Scots
Aurora Borealis COMES IN VIEW...
Quality of the video is very good but the banner ruins it all 😢
i saw thumbnail and i thought Trump had a band in the 80s
Funny, Otto von Bismarck...LOL!
You got me with this!!!
Dislike ... bet banner out from video
Most lifeless crowd of all time.
Very annoying..remove you stupid banner..

And yet you made a point to click on this video. Time for Karen to wash out her ears again. Some people never grow up.
Time for you to develop some taste in music. I just watched 20 seconds so I could get my haircut correctly. 😂😘 Enjoy your schlock!
