    Great vintage haul ☺️ yes, please, a vintage hat tutorial would be great, or any DIY projects really where you can make modern items look more vintage on a budget. Also the recipes idea sounds great! Greetings from the UK, where luckily it's not 38 degrees 😅

    I clocked that uranium glass right away! What a great idea to use your nail light haha. The pieces are usually completely safe but I MIGHT be slightly nervous using a uranium citrus reamer specifically since you're exposing the glass to fairly strong acid regularly and then consuming the juice... Food for thought!

    I have a 30s uranium glass dressing table set. Very cool, but I might be nervous using it in the kitchen lol!

      Try Alessandro Striplac. Or Jolifin Striplac.
      It hardens under a UV lamp as well, but you can just peel it off after a week or so.
      No remover necessary. You do not want to mess around with Acetone, trust me.
      That stuff will ruin your nails and then you will always have to wear laquer, to hide the damage.
      Well, that's my experience, anyway.
      Used a laquer that needs soaking in Aceton just a couple time...had to cut my splissing, breaking nails super short afterwards and then wait months for the damage to grow out.
      Striplac all the way - it will not damage your nails!

      @@raraavis7782 thank you! Noted on the acetone! I will avoid that! Striplac! I've never heard of it! I'm totally looking into getting some. Thank you

      Sure! I have done a couple already that you can find around the 1 year ago mark, but I’ll make an updated one at some point too 😃

    U may also not want to use uranium glass. I think it actually has uranium in it which is causing the glow and is toxic.

    • @MissBeeTownsend
      @MissBeeTownsend  2 роки тому +3

      Yes, it really has uranium in it but the 20th century pieces have such low levels of uranium that the consensus is that they’re safe to use provided they aren’t damaged. As a lemon juicer isn’t something I use everyday I think it’s ok. Not sure I’d eat off a plate set daily though…

      @@MissBeeTownsend I’m slightly curious if the acidity of lemon would make uranium dissolve more but you are likely correct the level won’t be very high.

    • @MissBeeTownsend
      @MissBeeTownsend  2 роки тому

      That is a fun idea but Val doesn’t want to be in videos (which is cool as it’s my thing) and I made the decision in 2020 to share less of my private life because people were treating my relationship like a tv show storyline and being super inappropriate.

    Perhaps if you're living in France, you could learn to pronounce the word 'lingerie' properly; it is not an american word. The Americans are even worse with mangling french pronunciation than they are with english.

    • @MissBeeTownsend
      @MissBeeTownsend  Рік тому

      I’m not American 😘 I’m pronouncing it correctly for the way we say it in Australia. I can indeed correctly pronounce it in French when I am speaking French. No need to shit all over Americans in my comment section.

    Those glass jars are GORGEOUS! I’m loving your hairstyle. I’ve been trying to find vintage inspired casual updos for these hot summer days we’re in but I’m not being very successful. Would you consider filming a tutorial?
