- I found this 1950s make up guide in the Glamour Daze Vintage Beauty Guides pack. So, I thought it would be fun to follow the instructions to get the most authentic everyday 1950s look that I could. What do you think of the result? Are there any tips that you would incorporate into your make up rountine?

I'm so here for this. I'm obsessed with the 1950's.

Stunning ❤ I could watch your tutorials all day ❤❤
Aw that’s lovely. I’m glad you’re enjoying them 💕
Hello Miss Bee, I have recently discovered your channel and have been binge watching you videos. If possible, could you please do a tutorial on your hairstyle? Love from Tasmania
Hi! Welcome! Sure. I can chat about the cut and how to style. Thanks for the request! 💕
You are beautiful
Loved the hairstyle 🩷
Aaah i love this
Glad I'm not the only 1 that doesn't do contouring. I was wondering who started that modern trend. I took a makeup class in the mid 2000s & she didn't teach me that at all. I have a square face too. Brave girl. I tried using an eyelash curler when I was a teen & I never could figure it out. Need to try lip brush. My lipstick never goes on evenly
I bought the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers when I was in Japan in April and I have to say, they are worth every single penny. I'd made do for years with cheap ones, and now, I'd never go back! I thought I had short stubby lashes, but in fact, they just point down! Highly recommend investing in decent curlers now x
Ooh! Ok thank you. You might have just convinced me 🤔
The hair color is amazing on you thank you for the 50's makeup tutorial

Top vintage boutique online is European repro retailer, they sell some of Besame products! Lipsticks and the cake mascara
Not sure about European shipping but I've been able to get Besame in Canada and their face powders are stunning! I use the Peggy Carter tie-in shade because it's the fairest and I'm white as a ghost and I'm always shocked at how blurring and mattifying the pressed powder is. I was able to get the limited edition gold and red plastic travel compact (instead of the usual cream and red) and it's so lovely to pull out of my 1940s handbag at events, really gives an authentic glamorous touch. The pans are quite small though, they shrunk them a few years back, if I'm not mistaken I believe they used to fit into standard sized vintage compacts and now they don't, rather frustrating and sad if true.
Their lipsticks are an excellent formula and they have so many red options and explain all of the nuances and undertones well BUT they are not vegan and when I emailed about potentially switching to a vegan formula or even just releasing a few vegan shades I was pretty disappointed with the response, which was along the lines of "not only will we never even consider that our beeswax comes from happy bees so you shouldn't care." Just a polite "thanks for the feedback but we don't have any plans of this nature right now!" would have more than sufficed...
Their nail polish is really great and I love that they made shades to perfectly match their lipsticks, a lovely and authentic vintage touch! I also purchased their perfume sampler set and unfortunately none were my cup of tea. Really wanted to love the 40s one but it smells JUST like root beer! Delicious flavour but not my preferred fragrance profile. Haven't tried any of their eye makeup or brushes but I love their commitment to aesthetics and quality.
Thank you for such an in-depth response Alex. I’ve been waiting for them to make a vegan-formula lipstick too. 😢 Hopefully one day.
That perfume sounds awful!
I'm from Lithuania and currently waiting for my besame lipsticks order! Shipping was something like 20 euros.
Ooh that promising! Thank you!
Hello miss bee 👍😊
Hi 👋🏼
Thank you for the way you show us how to do makeup like a normal realistic human! I really don’t like 99.999999% of makeup tutorials because there is no way they got everything perfect the first time😂
Haha yeah I have no illusions about being a makeup artist. I’m a girl with a camera who owns makeup 🤣
Shes like a walking 50s catalog lady ❤❤❤
Thanks! I guess that means I did something right! 🤷🏻♀️
Love this video! New subscriber here!!! ❤️🇺🇸🇮🇱💜
Thank you! Welcome! ♥️
🔥I luv❤all of your vintage videos, it's an extreme pleasure!💖💜🖤💯💥👍🤍!
Top vintage and Voodoo vixen sell some Besame. That’s where I have bought it from
Ooh! Thank you!
What happened to lip brushes? They used to be everywhere years ago, now they are impossible to find. Thank goodness for online shopping 😛
That’s so true. Maybe because of the popularity of the doe foot applicator for liquid lipstick. But it doesn’t have the same precision!
You can't really tell that much that it has been done all that differently than you usually do your makeup - that's how you know it's a timeless and classic beautiful look! However I do feel maybe the eyes are a bit more understated than most people do their makeup today. It's far from a "2016 instagram baddie", it's more natural and chic :D
Yeah I kind of like the liner just on the outside. Even with my non-existent lashes it’s subtle but well balanced with the red lip. I had a giggle about the length instructions for the wing of the liner because we love a big bold black wing in the vintage community 🤣
Idk why i m here but gg
Haha welcome!
