For me there is simply no one better than Trinny to inspire me to look at my wardrobe differently and try out new ways to wear things. Trinny you make my creative juices flow!!!!
What I loved about my 70’s boho style was the fabric and imagination. There were so many beautiful fabrics and unusual pieces around whereas these days, many fashion items are like uniforms. Unless one has the luxury of plenty of money, vintage shops are the best place to find some unique pieces. Trinny seems to have clothes and accessories to suit every look and occasion and her Closet Confessions are always fun to watch.🥰
Always a real pleasure to see Trinny go through her incredible wardrobe and pieces and put outfits together so easily, the outfits are always spot on and so well put together 🤩 Never missed one Closet confessions !
Here's a tip of what not to do: don't cull your wardrobe in the throes of a darkness of the soul. Last year I gave away so many coats, including my favourite spring wool vintage one. Seeing Trinny bring out a coat that resembles my old one inspires me to find another. I'm sure there's one in a charity shop or consignment store somewhere.
I feel you! I got rid of a heavenly Paul Smith full length wool coat years ago and I miss it so much. There are so many times I know it would be perfect. What was I thinking 🤬
Absolutely adored this Video. We all have clothes in our Wardrobes that we can bring them up to date. Boho for example, they were worn original way back in the Day. You showed us how to bring them into 2023. Using what you have and giving them a new life.
When you put the black velvet Cape over the black evening dress I immediately got Stevie Nicks vibes. I love Stevie. Then we moved to the all white ensemble which reminded me of Bianca Jagger
The white outfit I could see Bianca Jagger wearing. I love Boho but can never get it 'right' now I'm bigger. It was my go-to in the 70's and I was a skinny minny 😆 My extra large chest makes the dresses hang strange.....wish I could go back to my skinny days, ahh well 😌 x
My favorite Closet Confessions ever!! This is the style that I’ve most aspired to my whole life! The one thing missing was a low slung belt here and there… and maybe an organic farm in the background, lol. Also late 60’s/early 70’s was VERY different than late 70’s.
I think it would be so, so cool to have Trinny to recreate and update the looks from her school runs with Lyla from 10-12 years ago. How to do current “mom” looks, that are stylish, but practical? (And honestly, I know a lot of grandmothers follow Trinny, and this goes for them, as well, since grandmothers also spend time with active kids.
Yes please a summer boho look 😊and agree with the comment yours Trinny is a modern take on boho and so you .........which makes it refreshing and interesting to see 💛💙💚
I would love for this sector of Closet Confessions to continue with other styles! You break them down to their elements in a way that really makes sense and is easy to identify in my wardrobe!
This was so helpful- I often find it costum-y or too beachy when I want to wear boho. I love that you gave a contemporary and city way to interpret boho pieces! Idea: Trinny's analysis of what I've been seeing and buying a bit of: Silly Fashion. I'm in my 50s, but am drawn to and find joy in some of this trend. Would love your help to avoid incorporating it badly. Great job as always, Trinny & Team.
Thanks for choosing this one Trinny...I think I am naturally a Boho dresser and I don't think there always had to be so much pattern, long thin scarves and plenty of beads, with funky earrings can make even plain black flares and a top look boho.
Just bought the Massimo Dutti fringe cream blouse. It’s ON SALE! Got it as a gift for my 60th birthday, which is tomorrow 🎉. You just made my day lovely Trinny, you’re so inspiring ❤
Ooh yes please, I’d love to see architectural minimalist too!! That sounds so chic and possible to replicate with pieces from our own wardrobes!?Thank you for another inspiring video !! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The 70’s and 90’s are my favourite style decades. I was born in 1970 so that brings back childhood memories of the music and relaxed cool vibe, and then the fun of going to nightclubs and power dressing during the 90’s. I enjoy bringing the two together with current “trends”. I’d like to see androgynous and high low outfits that can take you anywhere. 🥰
Ok, one of your best best best CCs-utterly inspiring, each idea a joy. Please please do part B for summer! Absolutely loved this, and, as ever, confounded why people don’t embrace pattern more. Would love love a ‘sexy’ CC, another vintage one, and what about an updated ‘80s CC at some stage. I abhor ‘80s fashion but would be so cool to see it modernised and made cool in some way? x
Boho is short for bohemian, and that isn't just about the seventies. In the seventies though, 'boho' borrowed from other decades, definitely the twenties and art movements like the Pre-Raphaelites. Boho can definitely be dark, and wear black, I think it is about romance and an idea of mysticism.
This is the first time I'm disappointed with a Trinny video. Boho is not just about Woodstock and some of her clashing prints look like an exaggeration of the hippie style. The black evening look, surprisingly, was the most Boho looking of her outfits.
Trinny. I’d love to play in your wardrobe. You’d be the best friend to play with. Also. “Like you’ve slept in your hair” is a great phrase 😊 Plus “ you are really seeing the best in these items aren’t you Trinny “ is like saying interesting, most ppl would think they are horrible but you can find good features in them 😂. Love love LOVE all your vids 😊
I love playing in Trinnys closet! So generous of you! What I kept hearing was gold with boho and that makes sense with the 70’s palate. The psychedelic sequin pants was great with both coats! Another fun masterpiece girls!!
Architectural minimalist please. Also, will we see Azusana's makeovers of you outfits from the Fall or did I miss that episode? I love seeing her alterations.
We live in South Africa - hot humid most of the year - so we wear a lot of long loose cotton or linen or viscose dresses with wedges or trainers. Now I'm wondering if dressing for our weather looks like we are stuck in a 70s vibe - tips to modernise without big coats please 🙂
🤩 OMG. Trinny's collection is A-MAZING. Major coat envy, but my 🌄LA climate cannot justify splurging 💰 in that direction (2nd-hand or not) either. I just would NEVER get the 💲cost per wear out of them. Plus, I'm at max closet coat capacity. Strict one in, one out rule on jackets🤣. ☀️I can relate to your climate dilemma. 🙃Thankfully, we generally get dry heat 🏜 over moist💧humidity here, but I still found I can stand my alternatives under more hot, humid conditions. 😊Always liked a 3rd piece or topper, but it MUST be feather light option. Something that leans slightly more viscose, absorbant &/or breathable under pressure. 🔍 I source short waistcoats as a light topper. Prefer the ones w/o buttons, bcos I generally leave them open over my top anyway. I can sometimes do a light menswear suiting material w/o melting, but I also look for silky or satiny options. 🤔I also think in terms of long, lean, light gilets (made out of a soft breathable fabric like a cotton or rayon blend). They can span from hip to thigh to floor length. Look for something that gives the same soft drapey impression. Simply add a 🆒️ print pop vs excessive texture (which can be a no-go weight wise🥵). Avoid suede, but sometimes I can find a light & fluttery fringe a viable option as a topper. Some crochet pieces can absolutely be a gossamer 🕷spidery 🕸 light layer. Trinny proves how a traditional gilets can add a 🎸70s glam rock spin. I just avoid the more weighted glorious garments once the mercury🌡goes up . Instead, I have hip & thigh length gilets in a variety of check▪️▫️, vertical pin-stripe ⏸️ , & animal🐾 patterns. Also gifted a mod 🖌abstract patterned duster gilet. This extra length adds maximum drama✨️. All these printed pieces fall within my color palette. 😎They add interest over a solid base as a topper w/o 😓 compounding heat, my fluctuating hormones, or adding any sensory discomfort. I also 👀 suss out sleeveless button front dresses for their versatility as a "gilet" layer. Preferably ones w/a slim, straight silhouette, but fit & flare can sometimes work👌. Even classic shirt waist dresses can serve as a topper piece. I don't mind long, flowy sleeves in the latter style that I can cuff or roll up. A button up shirt can also function as a topper piece in some cases. It depends on the hem style. If I want a decided gap in front (that is also lengthening & slimming), I size under ⬇️ for that best "vest" effect. Otherwise, I try to control ➡️volume⬅️ best as I can in the rear. In an uber light-weight CA style trench coat, I tie the sash🎀 in back to keep it light, more minimal, & open in front. 🤭Considering removing the sleeves on some suitably light, thrifted trenches to get that gilet impression. 😉In the 90s, they sold small elastic accessories w/clips on each end that you could use to corral excess volume in back. They added more waist definition on your garments too. Frankly, the only jeans 👖 I can stand are cut-offs ✂️. I can glam them up w/a floor length gilet. It's flowy〰️provides more UV (& thigh🤫) protection in back〰️while it amps up drama⚡️. Gives a boho festival look w/more of a 👁👁peek-a-boo sexy in front. (I can swap shorts for a body-con t-shirt dress or pencil skirt.) Pair daisy dukes w/⬇️below the ankle 🤠 cowboy booties. Or, switch to hip trainers👟. (My feet blister if you look sidewise at them🥺〰️sandals only work as slippers or when standing around. 😬Need shoes I can wear "naked" socks at a minimum. Loafers & oxfords. Prefer ankle boots in general👍 for added pizazz. 🙄Tall boots have a much shorter shelf life for me {& typically aren't worth the investment}. 🤍Can do a classic espadrille wedge. 🚶♀️My sneaker collection is off the hook. They are a staple. 😚Can't resist them in a variety of styles & soles.) 🤗Find racks of denim dresses here in charity shops. They are usually light-weight enough as well as adding a 🆒️ texture. Unlike a jeans jacket that strikes me as too ⚓️heavy and structured😔, it's possible for me to wear a sleeveless denim dress as a gilet year round 🔄 here too. 🙋♀️Encourage you to experiment w/untraditional toppers. It can be trial & error to find one that pleases you on all points (incl. style & comfort). 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
I literally squealed when I saw the title - and the outfit with the green jacket 🤩🤩. I'm so grateful for you sharing this video. Boho in your late 40's can look very Very uncool. I loove this lookbook that you have put together. Thank you
I would love some ideas on how to wear harem pants. I loved this video, amazing as always. I love your modern approach to the subject. You are giving us a starting point but developing it towards a modern look.
Hi, thanks so much for all the closet confessions! I have the hardest time knowing which height of boot or booties to match with length of skirt, the same with crop pants and shoes. Could you do a video about that? please 🙂
I love boho and boho elements mixed with that sort of eccentric Italian preppy look. There are some good YT vloggers showing streetwear in Milan right now that features a lot of winterized boho looks - faux fur coats, long scarves, etc. Two great things about boho: 1) it mixes well with other styles (the aforementioned Italian preppy, cowboy, vintage...) and 2) I think you can sew some of these long coats, caftans, and capes yourself much more easily than tailored clothing. I may get out my Singer this summer and give it a try.
I like that you put pretty dresses (like Zimmermann ) get boho inspired from it but mix with coat or jacket to make it look a bit tougher/ modern. I usually wear dresses with prints and embroideries but sometimes I don't want it to be too boho. I just want to toughen and modern it up for the office. This video inspired me to try a few things. Can you please do more on how to mix different styles eg. Boho and modern , romantic and how to rough it up? Thank you 😍
Damn! Why did I DECLUTTER!! Now I’m thinking what’s wrong with my wardrobe and realizing I miss boho! I’ve forgotten the reason for prints! Great video yes please for more. And that black little dress! Can’t wait for sexy💞💞💞
Loved the boho vibe as inspiration for my 50th year high school reunion this fall. Desperately need help with my mother of the groom’s outfit without the big hat and matron’s look.
For me there is simply no one better than Trinny to inspire me to look at my wardrobe differently and try out new ways to wear things.

YES Trinny please do a video on Architectural Minimalist and deconstructed essential pieces.
Rocker chic for 45+. I like the idea of architectural minimalism. Also structured athleisure. Thanks for your CC. I look forward to them every week!

My favorite style. Thanks. Is tricky in the winter. I do a lot of turtlenecks and scarves.
My 2nd favorite is architectural minimalism.
Yes please doe architectual minimalist. That is so up my alley
I can never have too many travel tutorials! How to pack for maximum style with minimal space (and not get bored with what you brought).
My whole closet comes alive with new life after watching Trinny! She is such an inspiration to me!

Love boho style but I never thought of it, until now, as a winter one. I’m obsessed with the last look, that coat is just gorgeous ❤
Architectural minimalism sounds divine. Also, I love to see winter neutrals (excluding white).
I’d love a minimalist one! I’ve been overhauling my wardrobe and my three style adjectives for any new stuff are ‘casual, minimal, modern’
Bonjour Trinny, c’est toujours avec plaisir que je vous vois défiler dans des tenues différentes et toujours avec beaucoup de chic ! Bravo 🤗
OBSESSED with the all white boho look with those fringes and light and floaty vest is just delightful and that white is so fresh on you! ❤

Isnt that the same clip where Trinny elevated her lounge wear looks, post COVID? 🤔 😉
@@lgg937 Lol, well *her* mom run looks of the past were super cute, not lounge wear at all. :)

I love the carefree whimsy and somehow it's chic! I'm here for anything you bring and thanks so much for the fun and inspiration.
Hi 🤗 The outfits with the orange dotty stripes and then the 2 different coats reminded me so much of the Carnaby street look.
"There's so much going on, it doesn't matter anymore". LOL, a classic line for boho lovers!!
Just bought the Massimo Dutti fringe cream blouse. It’s ON SALE! Got it as a gift for my 60th birthday, which is tomorrow 🎉. You just made my day lovely Trinny, you’re so inspiring ❤
Happy 60 th Eleonora ! I’ve just had mine and really getting more into fashion now kids are grown !

This is great!! I would LOVE some more Boho-Chic, maybe variation of it ?!
OMG, THE WILD PATTERNED PANTS WITH THE MASSIVE SLEEVE TOP, holy smokes! SO good!
So much more boho to go! Loved the clergerie shoes, irridescent sequin pants . Thanks for the delight
Omg Trinny any of your combinations look amazing. Wow. Wow. Wow. You don’t need any suggestion or advise. Your details are AMAZING
Another great Closet Confessions! Would love to see your take on #oldceline, your old Celine coat collection is amazing ☺️

I’m really not a boho girl, I like structure and tailoring. But that white tassel jacket, shit, trouser combo spoke to my soul 😮
White outfit is my absolute favorite. Love the pants
Why i love fashion: shapeshift from decades to choose from & be inspired by.
Yes the witchy opulent boho of the 20s is gorgeoussss
yes! I think of Bohemia, east of europe, Mucha, gypsy. never in decades..
This is a modern take on it. She never wears 'time period costumes' which is why her style is so good.
@@yellowbags Trinny was thinking in time periods and her boho failed terribly..
