To clarify, Shadowflame Essence is a very rare drop, even from raid bosses, so that is why its so expensive and why there are so few on the AH. I didn't mean to mislead anyone from my 1 hr estimation, I simply meant that if you had the same RNG as me, and got 1 per LFR, that would be up to 82k an hour. But to the EU people out there, Essence has gone from 40-50k on NA to 80k+ on the start of reset day today, similar to last week’s chart. Its not guaranteed that EU will react the same, but do as you want with the information :P I hope the video was helpful and informative! Thanks eveyone!
Day after reset. The first 418 Essences for sale, all under the price of 40K averages 35K, hopefully people realize that prices aren't static and that big investments into swaps has big risks attached. Would be interested to see your financial ledgers on Jun 1 regarding Essences. I've often thought of being a market maker but the volatility is not easy to manage. IMO while the returns aren't high but it's pure profit is to buy items listed under the vendor price and then sell them. For a few years until about a 18 months ago, trading in pets was how a made the most AH gold and the only items that you could sell cross multiple servers. Now they hardly sell at all.
Yep, prices always fluctuate and it’s exactly how last week went (so far) - huge price at the start of reset when everyone is crafting for reset day hype then raiding starts happening and it settles at a lower price with way more quantity. Using Oribos exchange (Undermine Exchange now) to look at past history is a great way to learn markets

But wow head said blue ... so bought those too... not put on except on my chest , ilvl 415 or 418.. not getting a better one unless i do normal raid/ +17 Mystic.. did my first mistic lvl 2 and then 5.. i died alot, .. PSA if something is under your feet GTFO now like stop casting and run! Dont pull mobs, 1 -2 standing in it will kill you

Then did last raid 1st time, no one explained boss ,.. i was the only dumb dumb fromzen runing around while every 1 just laughs.. then noticed dbm , says "stack, run, away, " etc.. 1st few i was just oh crap what hit me. Now i heard what DBM said, had the effects and did not read what dbm said till i was dead and read what dbm aaid. Lol. Live and lear.
Doesn’t mean the information isn’t trust worthy - if essences end up being 50k a piece this week, sweet! That’s more gold for us. Don’t craft or sell items that aren’t profitable, prices always fluctuate
The market is very great - even if you consider these low prices, I’ve made millions through selling shadowflame related items. We are dealing with a region wide AH, it’s normal for prices to move up and down. The BMAH is somewhere where you can bid on rare items like TCG items and other collectibles.
I farm lfr to get gear, already have 2/4 left tier, and 2 normal from vault and world drop both higher then lfr. Now need to farm drake crest, have 2 and 9fragments
lmao wtf, you did 3 LFR raid boss and got a BoE and a Essense xDDDD this thing is rigged xD I killed 18 boss (9 normal and 9 heroic) and I got no BoE, No Essence, Heck I only got a single Waist item loot out of 18 boss too ... lol
These videos always end up ruining the market... First the lambent armor kits, now the enchnats and embelishments... elling the enchants for 92K and the embellishments for 88k now they are down 44K and 40... All in the time this video went live and this morning.
Shadow Essence went from 50kish on average to 90k due to reset which also increased the price of items. End of the reset day , people started raiding and essence is back down to 30kish, so item price dropped too. Price of materials drive the price of crafted items
hey penguin!, if u would spare me 30 seconds of your time i have been trying to find out your paladin's leatherworking spec tree for crafting the Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch in this video, would be totaly appreciated!
@@Penguinr2gt well it's not your fault 😀 but thank you anyway. My comment was not meant to be malicious, I love your videos, but I always find such calculations dangerous because many people have expectations ... but it's just my opinion
I appreciate you watching the content! My goal for the hour calculation was to show the potential. At the end of the day, it’s always RNG. Thanks for voicing your concern!
Offtopic but I'm so dissapointed with the crest recipes so far. Theres literally 0 orders for it, never even 1 listed. Either people have their own enchanters or its just too expensive for most people and they just rather farm raids/M+ for gear than spend so much for crafting 1 piece :/
Im just starting to all that gold and craft stuff, and omg... there's a bunch of information. But well, what professions do you recommend for a rookie to start learning? Also, im loving your content, this video was pretty useful, i just dropped an essence yesterday on lfr :D
"To him that hath, more shall be given; and from him that hath not, the little that he hath shall be taken away. The rich have become richer, and the poor have become poorer; and the vessel of the State is driven between the Scylla and Charybdis of anarchy and despotism."
Gathering professions are great as a beginner since you don’t have to spend gold to make gold. I actually recommend them to beginners. But, if your goal is to become a crafter, at some point you will outgrow your gathering professions. For example, I purchased 10k scales yesterday to make drums with Leatherworking, I could never self gather 10,000 scales in a reasonable amount of time to make my crafting worthwhile. If you don’t have any other toons, dropping the gathering professions for crafting is really okay, but if you have the Alts, I recommend just expanding on new characters just in case you ever want to go back to gathering
How are you reaching 337 brefore Insight on the shadowflame patch? I have full blue gear, full Leatherworking Discipline, and can only reach 287 simulating. Am I missing something? Is it trought Elemental Mastery? I have 0 on that. But the CraftSim Knowledge Simulation doesn't increase the skill when simulating.
@@Penguinr2gt Yes, I was. But I just checked. It's because I was not fully upgraded on Primordial Leatherworking and Elemental Mastery. Shadowflame Patch is considered an Elemental Pattern and such it's important to get it. Unfortunatelly I'm out of knowledge this week, but next week I think I can get it. Thanks! Great video btw, as always
Hey, what specs for enchanting can I priorize for getting that amount of skill? got the recipe for the shadowflame thing but i barely hit 350 skill myself

@@Penguinr2gt thanks for the reply! Sheesh im too far yet from making a r3 guaranteed so I don't think i can make it to that point soon, I think I'll chill with this enchantment ^^
Method #3 Pattern: Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch AH median 1 M gold Formula: Enchant Weapon - Shadowflame Wreathe AH median 775 K gold IF there happens to be any listed on your server.
How were you able to get the shadowflame wreathe guaranteed with Insight? I am maxed into weapon enchantments, and the only node I'm missing that I can see is the 45 skill mark in Insight of the Blue. Everything else seems specific to other types of enchants.
Sadly not really - mettle is trapped on the toon you have it on, you would have to pick up new professions on that toon and use them then go back to gathering if you wanted
@@jaxivier It does as i've also been thinking about doing that but most items you craft this way are quite costly so i believe the ROI will be low unless you can really start focussing on being the best crafter and getting a lot of orders through the time invested.

Hi, good video as always. I have a quick question: Which tailoring item (besides bags hehe) would yo recommend to sell at the moment? If possible that not use insight to be profitable, because I already run out of them crafting temporal spellthread quality 3.
It comes down to your specializations and skill but I make a decent amount of gold crafting bolts and shimmering thread. I just let it afk craft when I do other things around the house. The new pvp armor also has been doing well for me, and even the old pvp ones too. Polishing cloth are also decent!
Oh, she also in one video, that bags has no levels, so you can just use lowest tier and bag will be same. I will be making a tailor soon, or quick like switch my warlock (only lvl 70 , ilvl 410) , skinner miner, might wait when I get my envoker to high skining/leather, since he starts at 58 already
I use Journalator to track my purchases/sales! Only downside to the addon is that it doesn’t work cross account, but you can extract data into an excel sheet which is super awesome
In this point in time, servers don’t have a huge difference anymore than it used to due to the region wide AH. Anything stackable is region wide, so if you only focus on those markets your experience is the same on each server. If you are an armor, pet, gear, mount, etc. seller that’s where the server really matters. Not everyone may agree with this, but I always recommend picking your server for other reasons besides goldmaking. Maybe you find a server with a guild you want to be in, or for its RP, or it’s PvP and go there. Goldmaking can happen anywhere and chasing a server specifically for goldmaking can be really rough
