What I always took from this song is the subject of married couples infertility issues. Even back in the 80's there was IVF (in vitro fertilization) but it was and still is very expensive. Some people will go to extremes to have children.
“Y’all could adopt...” 😂 The look on your face during this reaction summed up the reaction much of the world had when this song came out! Great track though...!

I am currently learning how to play Crazy On You ( on my acoustic and some of the lead guitar on my Gibson 1997 Blues Hawk) . All I meant was, I'd be angry if I was the guy.
I enjoy your reactions. Anne Wilson of Heart sings the hell out of this song...but she hated it and everything about it. Heart does not sing this song in their concerts. Anne says they sold out in the 80s with the glamour and over production of their music. But, the girls had to eat.
One of my favorite songs from Heart. Ann's voice as always...so amazingly powerful. A hugely successful song for Heart in 1990 at #2 on Billboard Chart behind Madonna's Vogue at #1. Written by Robert John Lange, who was married to Shania Twain. Robert John Lange does know about infidelity, he cheated on Shania with her best friend.
Shouldn’t be that much of an up in arms moment. Unfortunately, men do this a lot too, up to having the baby, of course. There are many shady people like that person in this song. I was stationed with several while in the military up in Germany that would fit the lyrics to this tune. But!.... the melody and the rest of this song is one of my favorite songs of HEART. Ann’s voice is so mesmerizing. Honestly, it took MANY times listening to the song before I really started to LISTEN to the lyrics and found out what the song was about😁. I enjoyed the melody so much that I didn’t care about the lyrics at first. Mainly because of the way Ann sang that chorus. Thanks for the reaction. The song is really about the man that she really loved was not able to have a baby. And she wanted to have one so she had to find someone that could pretty much be the donor. So she tried more than once with other men. That's how she knew the place well. Not for sure at that time if they had sperm donors. That's my take on it. I loved the song when it first came out and I love as much today. Great Reaction as always Jayy Stay Safe ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Robert John "Mutt" Lange, the legendary producer who worked with AC / DC, Foreigner and Def Leppard, among many other artists, who wrote the title single, "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You." Initially, Lange had written the song for Don Henley, but the Eagles singer and drummer rejected it. The first version, on the other hand, was released by Dobie Gray in 1979. His interpretation was a simple love song about a man who professes his eternal attraction to the woman of his dreams. By the time Heart got hold of it, the lyrics had changed dramatically. link original song: ua-cam.com/video/C_9qZYyytxM/v-deo.html&feature=emb_logo
This is absolutely one of my favorite of their songs even though it’s extremely sad...Ann and Nancy Wilson are so great. Never heard a song of theirs I didn’t like. Alone is one of my favorites also, Dreamboat Annie also.
Heart is a crazy good band, lead by the amazing Wilson sisters, Anne and Nancy. You can't go wrong with whatever song you pull up but if you want to really be amazed check out their cover of the Led Zeppelin song "Battle of Evermore"! They will blow your socks off!
Great reaction! This song was quite scandalous at the time it was released. Infertility and the desperation of a woman who wanted a child of her own wasn't a topic heard in songs before this.
This song is so implausible. It was during the AIDS crisis. Home boy may not have had an umbrella but he definitely would have worn a “raincoat” in that hotel room.
That reminds me of what Chris Rock once said in a standup about lying, “ when men lie it’s like “ yeah I was hanging out with Pookie and ‘nem “ , when women lie it’s “ it’s your baby “ ….
I have watched almost every reaction video when it comes to this song. Even with the reactors who I know are very intelligent and usually are very perceptive, about what they are hearing. Yet, YOU are the only reactor who understood the message of this song. I'm not sure why that is... because back in 1989 / 90 it was obvious to everyone what this song was about. We understood it, we understood what she was doing (and why). We understood that she was wanting to become pregnant and we understood the little cryptic note that she left him in the morning... explaining that they had "planted a tree". We understood that when they met by accident years later, that he was discovering what happened that night. There was nothing about this song that we didn't understand back then and I don't know why it's so hard for people these days to grasp. It's really very crazy to me that people can't understand what they are hearing. All that aside...KUDOS to you for being able to follow along and comprehend what you just heard!

@@sexysadie2901 I kind of agree with you, but I'm not sure. I don't think that writing a story from someone's perspective, necesarily means that you agree with that perspective. However, the song does kind of romanticise repeatedly cheating on your husband / lover with random men that you picked up off the street, and makes it seem like a beautiful thing. And what about the biological father? Will he ever be able to see his daughter again? Will he ever get to be called Dad? How does he feel about all of this? On the other hand, not all stories need to be told from multiple perspectives, and although it was pretty mean to use him for sex and a baby, I guess that he wasn't promised anything, and what did he expect from a one night stand anyway? Plus, what would have been achieved by her hanging around, when she had no interest in anything further?
34 years later, and this song still cuts me deeply. I fell deeply in love, she was just wanting to use me to conceive a baby..... and as I was trying to recover from the heartbreak, this song was on the radio constantly.
