A couple of names you have to know when talking about metal singers that you just cannot not know: Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio to name a few.
@@212MPH No, I was referring to Bob's comment, which was the 2001 Rock in Rio concert, the Clansman with Bruce is one of the best versions I ever heard.
Y'all have no idea how dope this is for me! This is the metal of my youth. A black kid in the 80's listening to Maiden and other metal bands. While my homies were deep into Hip-Hop. This is the music that spoke to me. More than any other genre. Thank you both for this.
How do you feel about rap driven metal/ rock? Like Rage against the machine. Or Linkin Park? Or Insane Clown Posse? Limp Bizkit? I love all kinds of music. Rap, rock, country, blues, reggae, gospel, etc. I find good music that speaks to my soul. Metal and country probably are the center of my love for music though.
I was around 14 or 15 years old, living in Seoul Korea (dad was in the US Army & stationed there for 2 yrs). I had just recently discovered heavy metal from hangin' out with a bunch of "rockers" at my new school on the Army base. prior to this, i had mostly just listened to music played on the local pop or R&B stations. Rap was still a new genre that was quickly gaining ground & attention from more mainstream stations. Also my dad was a big country music fan so I heard a lot of old school country songs growing up, from the likes of Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, etc. One day in 1982, I am just looking through the music section of the PX (Army post exchange) store on base. My attention was immediately drawn to the cover art of Iron Maiden's latest album "The Number of The Beast". I had no idea who Iron Maiden was & had never heard one note of their music. I bought that album based solely on the fact that I was so drawn in & intrigued by the artwork on the album. Hallowed be thy name, The number of the beast, & Run to the hills are 3 of my favorite Maiden songs. Bruce Dickinson's operatic voice is legendary, one of the greatest vocalists of our time. Bruce & Ozzy were my first tour guides into the land of heavy metal music... 38 years later, I still remember the 3 albums I bought that day - Iron Maiden "The Number of the Beast", Ozzy Osbourne "Diary of a Madman", and The Scorpions "Blackout" \m/ :-)
This has always been one of the "go to" songs for anyone just starting their metal journey. So glad y'all enjoyed this classic. His vocals are indeed amazing, and yes, he was classically trained. Great reaction. Much love&respect❤🤘❤ The guy on the Mike is Bruce Dickenson. One of the greatest metal vocalists out there. And they still killing it to this day. The whole band is 1 big ball of energy^!^
in his book he has a chapter organ piper and he talks of his singing elsewhere in it. no classical training or voice lessons. an ex girlfriend heard him and said you ight have a voice and he read a book. rob halford of priest no voice. dio has said he was given trumpet lessons as a child and credits that for helping his singing.
Bruce Dickinson, the singer, flys the band around in a 747 Jumbo Jet when they are on tour. He was also in the British Olympic team for fencing and has written a number of books. He recovered from cancer to come back and record another album with the band

A few Facts ... Bruce Dickenson the Vocalist became a world class champion of Fencing WHILE they were touring. Bruce is NOW their pilot of their personally owned 757.
Metalhead's in the making. Whole new rabbit hole to be sure getting into Iron Maiden. That show was decades ago too. I just saw them here in Portland last year and they still bring it hard live.
Awesome! Y'all covered my favorite Iron Maiden song. That earned you a Subscribe. The tour this was taken from was the first concert I ever went to and in the summer of 2019 I took my grand daughter to her first concert..... Iron Maiden. All comes full circle.
The singer Bruce Dickinson is the hype man. He has that energy though their entire concerts, even now in his 60s. He was also a world class fencer, an airline pilot and studies classic poetry....all while being the lead singer of one of the most iconic metal bands ever.

Maiden almost always tells a story. Sometimes they are taken from literature or history, and sometimes they just invent their own. This is one of their own set somewhere in history about a man's thoughts before he is hanged for some unspecified crime.
This is such a great song....Only seconded to Powerslave and my all time favorite, Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Love that you did this song! You can tell she is an old school metal head. She is into this song like it is in her blood. Great reaction, folks!!!!
Love IM. had all their vinyl in hs Bruce Dickinson is like a Metal Opera Singer!!! Love this band. If you like this you may like Queensryche. Geoff Tate got chops as well. Both bands instrument players are too notch too👍🏼
Run to the Hills, The Trooper, Aces High have always been some of my favorites. Iron Maiden is an amazing band and made the best Hard Rock posters and Mascot (Eddie) ever!
Wow! Going down the Maiden rabbit hole!! 1: Love Jai's shirt! 2: You guys learning guitar?!?!?!?! AWESOME! I am a big supporter for learing new things and what makes you happy. So I hope the guitar is a thing that makes you guys happy. 3: Lead vocals is Bruce Dickinson. amazing vibrato. 4: Rabbit hole next songs: Number of the beast, and Run to the Hills. Actually the whole Number of the Beast album is pretty solid. Thank you guys! keep it all up! Good vibes baby.
Congrats for being one of the few reaction channels to tackle Iron Maiden. The bass player, Steve Harris is widely considered to be one of the best in heavy metal. That galloping sound he perfected runs through many of their songs and is kind of his trademark. This song is one of my favorites. I always wanted to hear Johnny Cash do a cover of this song.
Hype man is Bruce Dickinson, lead vocalist, world class fencer, and pilot of Iron Maiden’s touring jet. Half if you love the bass line and are going to take guitar lessons, consider the bass. Steve Harris the bass player of Iron Maiden is a great place to start.
I love your reactions! That's why they call it headbanging! Good music knows no racial or ethnic boundaries. I can listen to Iron Maiden, then some Dr Dre, then the Four Tops, then go right into George Straight. I love all music.
Well shit, if you are going to step into some Maiden you have to react to the one EVERYONE reacts to, and for good reason, Iron Maiden Fear of the Dark live in Rio. It really is the Gold Standard to react to.
This was my era 80's rock... But don't get me wrong love my R&B .. Stevie B., Jonhhy Gill and Keith Sweat...The lead singer Bruce Dickinson is also a pilot and flew the Bands plane to different countries for concerts..They have a song CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS.. One of my favs!!!!! Good Vibes..
Hype guy, is the lead singer Bruce Dickenson. Check out some other Maiden from the same era Powerslave, Ryme of the Ancient Mariner, and Revelations. Rock on and UP THE IRONS!!!
Bruce Dickinson is a multi talented guy. Got his pilot's license through British Airway's so he could fly the bands own 747 to tour the world doing shows. He has a voice that is hard to match with his range from low keys to high keys. Check out Number of the Beast---Run to the Hills or Somewhere in Time,,,,,,Great songs by Iron Maiden. P,S, Keep up the great reaction videos.
They have their own commercial size jet and the lead singer is the pilot, he wears a pilot's uniform just like you see on an airline that you would take a flight on
I love Iron Maiden. Always have and it looked like you enjoyed it too. :) I saw them last year in concert. Phenomenal! I recommend you check out Queensryche "Take Hold of the Flame" Live in Tokyo. The lead singers(Geoff Tate) vocals will blow you away! He was classically trained as well. Hope to see a reaction! :)
Interesting fact about this....the audience hadn't heard this song before. The show was recorded 20th March '82 at Hammersmith Odeon in London. The album wasn't released until 2 days later on the 22nd. This was the 21st show of the tour to promote the album Number of the Beast. This song was only recorded for the album in January 82' and the tour started late February.
Bro the lead singer is Bruce Dickinson. This band has it all. Did y’all not notice how long Bruce held those notes? The trooper, the prisoner, or Flight of Icarus.... check em out. And pay attention to the talent. Love your reactions.
Iron Maiden Album: The Number of the Beast Founder and Bass: Steve Harris Lead Guitar: Dave Murray (to our left) Lead Guitar: Adrian Smith (to our right) Lead Vocals: Bruce Dickinson Drums: The late Clive Burr
On a clear night, when the moon is full, if you listen carefully you can still hear the echoes of a note that Bruce Dikinson hit in 1983.

He flew the Band Plane for most of their recent world tour!!
He was also a world-class fencer, and an author. :)
don't forget an Olympian for the GB fencing team talented? just a bit...
He also is the patron of numerous charities.

Need to hear Fear Of The Dark live in Rio
Thumbs up this comment everyone. This needs to happen!
This recording was made in 1982 with the original line up, Clive burr on drums. All though still great his vocals were even better back then.

The double edge sword of provocitive cover art, kids grab it, parent throw it out when found without hearing a note.
another great song is "Run to the Hills" it's about native Americans and the clash with the troops coming from Europe
Iron Maiden is one of those bands that sound better live than the studio versions. The others are Pink Floyd, Queen & AC/DC
I would add Nightwish, Unleash the Archers, and Sabaton to that list.
Nightwish: Wacken 2013
Unleash the Archers: Montreal
Sabaton: Woodstock 2012
