I don't often comment on your videos. It seems like every time I have a question, you answer it before I have a chance to ask. And every time I have a suggestion, you explain the logic behind your methods. The fact that you really know what you're doing is one of the main reasons that I enjoy your channel so much.
You make it look easy because you're a good operator, but as someone that has cleared many hedge rows and tree lines with a wheel loader, I would much prefer an excavator lol
you have to be so careful, and you make it look so easy! to dig the ditch out enough to make it function once again, but not too deep. where it will trap the water. such a great skill. how many ditches do you work on a year? enjoyable video thank you for your video!
Yeah its not always easy to tell where the weight is and when the saw will get pinched. I was cutting up a 60" oak the other day. I have to keep a second saw around though since I don't have the luxury of an excavator. lol We have a lot of cottonwood along the rivers here in SE Iowa, they are more like a weed than a tree. Thanks for the video!
You got that right especially when you lay them down the tops can act like a spring and put tension on the trunk....yeah I agree cotton woods are like weeds lol
Nice informational video on the right tools for the job. As I was watching you put your loader through the paces, I could almost feel the struggle and pain it was going through.
That's something you learn really quick or you will drive yourself crazy you learn real quick you jist can't get all the sticks you just get the ones that you know a disk won't cut up
It all depends on the situation. I’ve used a wheel loader because it was easier to road it 10 miles to take out 15-20 trees. Didn’t the fancy grapple bucket though😉 (Did have hay grapples equipped to the loader bucket) If I have multiple days work, excavator is much more efficient.
Brandon, you've do it again. I thought I'd ask a question but as usual, you answered almost immediately I had thought it. Are you sure you don't have ESP or whatever you call it? I learnt a lot through this video, not just operational things, but techniques too. Thanks for your "tutorial" it made an interesting video for me at least. From UK.
I used clear with a 966 cat with a 15 ft stacking rake and it was awesome but I have to say a big track hoe is better on my old back 😅😅 God Bless Y'all have a great day
Yeah it would up until the price of the undercarriage replacement cost....I've always wanted one for wet conditions but you jist couldn't afford to run it constantly
The problem with this comparison is that it is not fair. You are comparing a 22 ton excavator to a 10 ton wheel loader. How can this be fair? Also your excavator is a much newer year model then the Case loader so this is also an advantage for the excavator though I do agree that the 2 work well together.

Thank you! I appreciate you watching!!

I prefer the excavator also lol
Great video Brandon yep excavator definitely better to dig with and clear brush 👍
Thank you!
Very cool video. I’m thinking an excavator is more economical than a loader on fuel as it’s not always spooling up from idle.
Yeah definitely more work less fuel
You make it look easy, you being a great operator. But it shows that an excavator would definitely be easier 😂. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you!! I've been at it for awhile lol
That's the way to go.

Thank you! We work on a lot of miles of ditch per year some years are more than others it just depends on what needs cleaned or repaired

Great enjoyable video thanks Brandon and George and Josh
Thank you!

Great video Brandon. Always enjoy your channel you make it look so easy. You’re a hell of an operator. Keep the videos coming they make my day✌️
Thank you I appreciate that!
Thank you for sharing
Your welcome!
A lot of cheap throwaway pallets are made of cottonwood.
This job would drive my OCD crazy! Id need to get every little stick
That's something you learn really quick or you will drive yourself crazy you learn real quick you jist can't get all the sticks you just get the ones that you know a disk won't cut up
That cottonwood rush pile is all most Letsdig18 size and quality.
Mother Nature never stops with the work order list.

Yes and I have done the same some jobs just aren't worth bringing the whole arsenal of equipment so it's either the loader or the bobcat!
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO D,G& S😊
Thank you!!

Well I'm happy I can answer your questions and teach you a few things! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the very good video Love it Man .
Thank you! Your welcome!
I used to run 821 and 921 case loader
I would like to have a 921 that would be a hog!!
Man that slop will be some good soil
Yeah I've heard of it being used for new yards
I used clear with a 966 cat with a 15 ft stacking rake and it was awesome but I have to say a big track hoe is better on my old back 😅😅 God Bless Y'all have a great day
Looks like the excavator is better as brush clearing than soil excavating.
Brandon why didn't have any ear protection on when using the chain saw.
Just wondering, what kind of belly pans does that loader have?
None lol I need to make some for it but in all the years we have used it we have had minimal issues only ripped the air dryer out of it once...
I got a backhoe radiator going that one time
hey man if you do alot of ditching cut 4 holes in the back side of buckit
I can't get my self to do it to this bucket because sometimes I don't want it to drain out...the big bucket on the 270 has water holes in it
You should consider giving "LetDig" guy some loader clearing lessons!
Ahh he's doing ok give him time I've just got a few more hours under my belt 😉
Why use the feller buncher when u can just pull them out with the excavator?
Anything over the edge I have to cut so I'm not destroying ditch bank and causing erosion
A track loader with a 4 in 1 bucket would out perform that rubber tire loader ,
Yeah it would up until the price of the undercarriage replacement cost....I've always wanted one for wet conditions but you jist couldn't afford to run it constantly
Is that front-loader a 2wd only???
Its 4 wheel drive but unfortunately it don't have locking rears ends

Hi mate how many tones is your excavator ?
And what is the name of that attachment ? And how many tones excavator would you recommend just to remove bushes like those ones ?
Can you take a log and roll up behind a tractor can you can you pack soil what's it
I probably could do that
