I've always said, if you want to go in places that you know, will kill a new machine. Hop in an older pilot controlled unit. Then the impossible is within reach. Great job again, Brandon.
I agree with what u said about going into a pond. I cleaned one out like this one but it didn’t have a bottom. I had to use telephone poles that the customer had there as a log bridge. Nothing like sliding down the bank with poles in the bucket/thumb knowing there is no bottom so hurrying and setting the poles to run on as soon as possible. Fun times, and oh the smell!
When I was a kid, I was told carp would keep those cat tails to a minimum, is that true? You need a recycling claw to pick those things up with. That cylinder may have had a broken component inside that was not seen. Once taken apart, you might see what caused the failure. Thank you for taking the time to see into your world.
For a minute I thought you were going to ask George to clean up with the Bobcat. You can always fit a snorkel. Love your videos, great content as always.
The final drives are full of oil so in theory there is no room for water to get in. Probably want to grease the turn table and track rollers though. lol
This is where it pays to have older equipment, today's stuff, all electronics and as long as everything is mechanically controlled, you can go as deep as you want so long as the air intake stays above water level. Seems to me like a rake bucket would be a better choice here, unless the customer is actually wanting some dredging done. You need a "thumb" on this excavator.
maybe I’m overthinking this.. & the cost of reinforcing the platform of the pontoon boat (to support the extra weight) is too high ?? but I thought set the Hyundai 17 on the pontoon platform & you can float all over the pond.. I thought about a boom/ bucket system for your skidsteer (to set the skidsteer on the platform of pontoon boat) but you would have to buy it & that adds upfront cost..
still thinking…. with a mini excavator or skidsteer setting on the bow of your pontoon boat digging that would put too much down force on the bow which would lift the stern of the pontoon up out of the water.. sounds like creating a work boat that could handle skidsteer or mini excavator is too much weight & money… oohh well ,, it was an idea
Not only do you wanna get your fan in the water? You don’t wanna get your air taken in the water it cost me $13,000 on my mini. We call that learning if you’re gonna be stupid you gotta be tough.
There's almost a 100 percent chance that cylinder blew out because of a bad weld. I was a certified Ironworker welder with a diploma that included reading and writing welding blueprints and the various forms of welding and metallurgy. I highly doubt it was an hydraulic overpressure issue. That would blow out cylinders and hoses.
The smell had to be absolutely disgusting. Ike working in the middle of a septic tank. Takes a strong stomach to not upchuck the first bucket of muck that comes up with the plants.

All I can say is Brandon you are one brave soul. Hey you cracked me up talking about the humidity when you are sitting in the middle of a pond 😂😂
Hey buddy- most guys just vacuum out the cab. But you got the extra mile!!😂😂😂 Great job on the pond. Very cool video.
Yep, he took it to a whole new level 😂😂😂😂

Some day could you make another video with the old beast Gradall? That machine is so intriguing and entertaining.

Im waiting for all the keyboard operators out there to tell you how hard on equipment you are haha.
Interesting video and hi from New Zealand!
that is so difficult! great job with what you dug out!
The final drives are full of oil so in theory there is no room for water to get in. Probably want to grease the turn table and track rollers though. lol
your a brave man going in like that.cool video
you never know until you try ,great job

Never have thought about cleaning the pond out without draining it, got to try this next time! Lol
Definitely one way to clean the excavator 😂
Did they even pump the pond down?
It's like dishing up spaghetti with a spoon.

Going where no excavator has gone before.
You might try ''Anchor Chains'' for land clearing. Let the chains drag the bottom?
Wonder if u could make a saureman bucket for yourdragline
Are you absolutely nuts for doing this job lol
Oh absolutely 100% nuts
that looks like it is hard on bearings mainly hose turntable
Where’s your dragline buddy?
You're braver than me!!
Did you watch C&C Equipments new video of the 1986 wheeled John Deere 690c with 201 hours, 6 way blade, that they only want $15,000 for?
Think I would have used mats. just in case.
Brandon how many fish did catch
I kinda came to the conclusion you might have had an easier time with a brush grapple.
well u get the tracks and uncarrige clean out .LOL
That’s a mess 😮
It actually turned out pretty nice after I was done the next day
Some times you just have to make due with what ever way you can make it work
Talk about good ole days of MUDDING.....👍🤣. I've seen it all now, you just need to install a lift kit......... Great work Brandon.
I draw the line at water in the cab
Rode hard and put away wet a whole new meaning lol
Wow
Nice swim why dont use use a reed bucket no waves of water it runs straight out
Needs a thumb
When the warrantee is up😂
Goes to show the extent some people will go to please a customer...
👌🏼👌🏼🤘🏼

Opps!! I knew as long as my butt wasn't getting wet then water wasn't getting in the intake lol
Have you seen any snakes.
You are making money that's all that matters
Making money while not destrying the equipment, which send profits to losses.
Gotta love those "Good firm bottoms" 🤣
A bar of soap and you are good to go
Negative Comment! ...LOL
I was good for 5 minutes and then I lost interest. Sorry
Next time fast forward then it makes it look like you watched the whole video
