    spin it around on that hard dirt and put the blade down. It helps to push against the blade to put more force in the hard layer

      I was going to say the same thing. If you are lifting something the blade shoo-ins be facing the bucket as he has it.

    I see that some reviews of similar machines are prone to tipping, this unit seems stable. Good video, thanks!!

      They are prone to tipping especially off the side. For general digging in front of the blade they are great

      VERY 'tippable' of a machine.
      It can pick up a 400 pound log and spin it around at speed.
      It's awesome.

  • @Reloadeez

    They are great if you have realistic expectations. Your not getting a kubota machine that's going to give you a 7,500-10,000 hour lifespan. I know single man startup contractors that buy them, run them for 100-200 hours, resale them, and get a new one. The operating cost doing that is about $15 an hour including fuel compared to roughly $31 for a similar sized rental machine. They eventually upgrade to a name brand machine. They are also good for homeowners who are only using it for occasional use.

    • @topanteon
      @topanteon Місяць тому

      Like, yea, sure. But the thing is that this is just such simple design. Engine replacement is cheap af. Koop, Kubota engines go for couple hundred dollars, and I'm presuming this is 7.6kW. Then everything else is hydraulic. For anyone who understands hydraulics, replacing broken parts, even the pump, is easy. And it's easy to learn.

    Thanks for the video. I bought a Typhoon brand but almost identical. I've done a few mods I did 8" blade extensions and added to the top of blade because I got tiered of it spilling over the top and the extensions gave a little more stability. I also added a fan in the engine compartment and planning many more mods maybe I'll make few videos.

      Chad, I just ordered the Typhoon two ton machine. Terror 18. I hope it is a good machine. I needed more that a one ton, and there is a huge jump in price from the two to three ton.

      @@restoration-projects That makes sense and super helpful. If I run that route, I will likely lift straight on and reverse down my property, drop, then drive around and repeat but that wouldn't be very efficient. Next equipment level up is just so expensive.
