'nothing better than chocolate on chocolate' wise words, love!
I like the way she teaches.
This is engaging and well-explained, all while keeping it simple and using terms that anybody with a functioning brain can understand.
It's 2:15am right now and I don't have the chocolate, but I'm definitely going to the store in the morning so I can make this and eat it for lunch, and probably dinner also.
Kudos, Chef DeWitt!
Hi Chef,
Thank you for not editing the squeeze bottle incident out, it was so funny , real world, unexpected, and honest! The rest of the vid was also very good! Thank you.
I went to culinary school and had a passion for cake decorating, but then stopped pursuing it because I wasn't making any progress. But after watching this it is making me want to get back into it again. Thanks for the video :)
Your natural enthusiasm is truly contagious. If I hadn't already made dinner with a strawberry dessert, I would be searching your archives and heading back to the kitchen. :-)
Whether she is constantly wiping the counter or changing plates, she is super confident. I think that's what is ticking for her.

Learn from home if you can be self taught to become a Chef all you need is concentration of watching and listening and practising skills above all the interest to achieve. There are lots of self taught home Chefs these days due to the expensive Culinary Schools around the world.
EXELENTE
guesse who made this and it actually turn out exactly how she did it THIS GUY RIGHT HERE
@superlove4ibiza corn syrup is a liquid sugar also called kero syrup u can get it in any grocery store make sure its the light yes u can use this glaze on a flour cake it may make the cake a little soggy beause its a diff texture
is the oven preheated? you said it should take really slow, so i'm not sure =S. Thanks btw! love the video! you guys should do more pastry videos :D too bad i don't live in the states :(
forgot to mention,.. yes i am inspired..thank you :)
Great Video Chef Tracy.. Were do you have the recipe?
this makes me want to come to your school..BE MY TEACHER !!!
I miss going to school now :(
She knows it’s not a cake but she still portrays it as cake throughout the video
tRACY, gREAT VIDEO, GREAT INFORMATION. pLEASE TELL ME WHERE i CAN BUY THE ACETATE SHEETS AND WHAT IS THE PROPER NAME FOR THEM?
for the chocolate glaze. can i use white chocolate instead?
What cake pan size did u use? I'm very new about bakery. I don't know what size it should buy for a normal size cake at home
+Suki Wu try 20 or 22 cm. Size dont matter much. It might change timing, so stick with jello texture.
What Is the white and red you put on the acetate
i wanna go to that school... O.o
Which mould size is perfect for 1kg cake
can you use white chocolate as well?
what brand cake pan is that?
i can't find corn syrup here in england all we have is golden syrup...so is there any other alternatives?
I wasn't taught the seeding temper way I was taught the 3 step method( heat, cool by table, then heat again) which way is better?
Can this cake be used for a tiered cake or a replacement of a filled cake
+Elizabeth Abarca it very rich. Like soft chocolate. also i dont think it would hold shape well if its on the bottom.
Are there any subs for low carb?
Sweetener sub instead of sugar
and ratios?
replace with xylitol or erynitol 1 is to 1 amount of sugar.
can someone please tell me the quantities of every ingredient...
in the form of half cup, full cup...
Do someone have a directlink too the recipe? I don't find it...
oh really coz when i went to asda and asked a guy that was working there he said they don't sell it lol he probably didn't have a clue what i was on about! lol thank you tho! =D
Okay but how do you make the little blocks that are on the side of the cake?
did you better the pan?
Spring form pan would make this easier, but remeber to add tin foil over the bottom so the water does not get in.
