8th generation honda si are one of the best generations of the Hondas si built besides the 1999 2000 honda si 👍. They will become a classic car one day soon worth a lot of money
Just finished painting my 8th gen milano red and did a full fd2 conversion I have 320k miles on the dash I drive 2 hours to work everyday and damm it never gets old just did a k24 swap gave to z3 to my buddy 24 is well worth it really brings out the rawness and power
Cars & Bids is amazing for finding super clean cars like this. Nothing even remotely close to this clean would ever be on FB marketplace in a billion years. You're absolutely right that you got a deal on this too. Congrats!
What a great find. A clean 8th gen Si is very hard to find and they certainly do hold the value too. For me, 8th gen Si > 9th gen Si simply because of that beautiful K20. Excited for this series!
I used to work at a Honda dealer in 2007. A 2007 Cayenne Red 4 door Civic Si sat on the showroom floor for probably a year and retailed at $22.xk USD. Nobody would buy it, and the Mugen Si sat even longer after that one.
I have worked at the same Honda dealer since 2003 and we also had a brand new Civic Mugen SI. It sat in our showroom for 14 months and we finally gave it away at cost. People just would not pay $30,000 for a CIvic back then.
Congratulations Cam, well bought. You’re right about this being a unicorn - anyone who knows these cars and appreciates them would be lucky to pay what you did. Happy for you man.
I was there for the bidding it was amazing i just happen to login and check on the listing and it was like 15 min left...well done Cam amazing to be there to cheer you on. Congrats again my man... amazing car!
CONGRATS !! I’m so excited to see this build, I just got my 8th gen on the road this week. So I’ll be following this build like crazy you’ll love the car, I cannot keep the smile off my face right now!
Congrats, Cam! Do not listen to anyone who says it wasn't worth it. The price you pay for that car and the amount of enjoyment you get out of owning it do not correlate with one another. If that's the car you wanted, then you did great. Enjoy your 8th gen, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
Got my 8th gen with 130k for 6k. Clutch and power steering is brand new, has typical clear coat failure. Came with Hondata and hybrid intake. Make sure u leave that thing in a garage at all times
I had the 08 si for 5 years. Only problems were paint on the Fiji blue and sun visor recall. It was my daily and never let me down. Dependable Reliable Fun to drive Can't wait to watch your road trip video!
Congratulations Cameron! That was exciting dude. Can’t wait for the new content. The K20 has such an addicting sound. I owned a 2003 RSX Type-S for a few years back in the day. 🤙🏼
Stoked for you Cam! Good work. Know what you want and go get it. To all those who say ohhh he overpaid.. well he has the car now and living his dream. Not you.
you proved me wrong of finding one under 100k i was the guy who messaged you on insta telling you thats a unicorn and you found it easily could of been a 20k car
I started watching your channel (maybe 2017 or 18) with your 9th gens, back when everyone but me had a 9th gen. I decided to be different and got an 8th gen, and I absolutely love it. You will too
congrats on the winning bid. I remember when these car was new release in mid 2005, couple neighbor car guy gather and one guy said "google up the new Civic SI" now realize that was 17 years ago. Dang I am getting old lmao.
I own and original of a 8th gen sedan si since day one 2010 and it’s my car til I past away. It got me to work for 11 years and now it’s my summer street or highway / track car 👍 still has original k20z N/A. It SCREAMS in v-tec.
That fa5 is easily worth 20k+ with those miles and the overall condition! I have an 09 si with 235xxx on the dash and it’s still pushing strong. Believe when I say these engines will not die unless you let it
I had a 2007 4 Door Si down here in Florida for 13 years. I bought it new and garage kept it all it's life. It was MINT when I sold it. The people who bought it were shocked because it looked new. It had 115k miles on it. I kinda miss it but man life is too short for one car. I got a 1973 240Z with the funds, though. Enjoy the car! That car is a blast.
Welcome to the 8thgen Family! 😎👍🏽 I was hoping it would be a 09-11 because I love the front end! You can always swap bumpers! 16 year old car! You definitely have to show the state of how the car is in. The 8thgen Si had so many issues like paint fade, crows feet, 3rd gear grind and the clutch pedal clicking sound every time you press in the clutch. I checked out the pictures! Definitely will have to swap out the rotors and pads out soon. It's so hard to find oem kits for this car. I can't wait to see what you do. I still daily drive my 8thgen si now when i got it in 2012 with 9k miles!
You just got a nice car. These were low 20s when new. You paid a lot, but you won’t be disappointed. I bought a brand new 2011 FG2 and it was such a fun car.
First order of bizz should be protecting that paint, get it coated. I lived in miami and had a mugen sedan and the clearcoat started to go in less than 3 years.
Hey Cam, I just got a maperformance catted downpipe and was wondering how much louder the cabin noise is I’ve been seeing mixed reviews. Awesome video as always thanks
We just traded for a 2019 SI with 85,000 miles at the Honda dealer I work at. It is black and pretty clean for the miles. Probably going to be asking $21,000 for it. Guy traded it in on 2023 Type R
Absolutely congrats man, genuinely my dream spec 8th gen SI. Got a nice one for sure! + really cool to see someone I watch buy a car from an auction site like this, neat to see a perspective from a buyer on there and dude it was intense watching you bid on this thing as if it was me trying to win it 😂
That is a clean car, I don’t think money is an issue when it comes to buying like a dream/project car! Congrats man love the 8th gen! Can’t wait to see it
CAMERON, I BELIEVE I SPEAK FOR MANY HERE WHEN J SAY IVE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED FOR YOUR VIDEO UPLOADS WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE 8th GEN. PLEASE FLOOD US WITH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE OF YOU GETTING THIS CAR!
For the people saying it’s not worth it just can’t afford it any Honda with 40k miles is wonderful he can keep this car for many years you definitely have a unicorn you do not find that 8th gen in that condition with that mileage you will definitely get your moneys worth I’m happy for you man I currently have a 2011 fa5 dyno blue pearl she has 213k and runs fantastic I can imagine what a 40k mileage one runs
Dude! You got it in black too?! 🔥 the best color for the 8th gen imo it just goes so well with the body and wheels. You’re gonna love it with some aftermarket support
as far as the few in the comments saying it was too expensive, it def is not for a non rusted 8th gen...ESPECIALLY since its a 4door which is even more sought after, i can totally see someone seeing it on the road and offering him 17k on the spot which happens with these types of listings. It was a good deal cameron
Congrats man! Despite what people say about the price, you are getting a gem. 40k mi is NOTHING. Plus the 8th gen has a plethora of aftermarket support. Looking forward to the build. I want one now 😂
Congrats Cameron! I’m glad you got this beauty. I wish you the best of luck. You’re gonna love that screamer. I had an 09 that I loved but was unfortunately totaled out and I have since had a 2012 Wrx and now a 2022 Brz. I look forward to seeing what you do with this 8th gen.
No way!! I was obsessing over this car lol. I had a 07 RR FA5 brand new and have always wanted another one so I enjoy looking for nice examples. Excited to see this car on your channel!
Congratulations! I bought a bone stock 8th Gen FG2 off Carvana of all places with 23k miles a few years ago. I over paid, but I agree, these low mileage 8th Gens are Unicorns. Still has less than 35,000 miles. Bought it as my daily while I save up for something much better. Not a fan of 9th Gens due to exhaust side VTEC only. Like you said, you just can’t beat the high rev VTEC cross over on an 8th Gen. Good luck with your project! 👍
I got an 8th gen also, i spent a whole grip on it 😂, so dont feel too guilty buddy! I love my SI my goal is to maintain it to keep it forever. Once you get it, murder it out with tint, i got 5% all around, and i also tinted the windshield 20% the other day. Omg it looks so nasty. Looks like a fighter jet. Definitely tint it and lower it, you’re gonna love it man! Im happy for you. And they are crazy easy to maintain. But when you change the oil, just be prepared to have a plan on getting the oil filter off. The oil filter is located in a really stupid spot! But if you typically go to a mechanic you should be good.!
8th gen is solid. High revving. Nice car. I watched this auction end live. If I wasn’t in Maryland I was about to bid. Think the final price was fair. Not good not bad.
Let's go!!!!! 8th gen!!!!Gen!!!!! Congrats..hopefully everything's good with the vehicle since it's an 8th gen...can't wait to see the content. There's going to be boosted subscribers to your channel now...make sure to inspect n drive the car first b4 buying n giving them your check.

My wife is the same way 4500 on ny fd2 conversion and 3000 for my paint job lol the wife is just happy to see how much joy we get from it
Congratulations! THIS is exciting!
Never clicked on a vid so fast! Finally an 8th Gen LFGGG!!! There is nothing like a K20z3 it's really the last true performance VTEC motor.
Shutup nerd
Man you really got a great deal. Didn’t expect you to find such a clean example and I think you made the right decision with going 8th gen.
Congrats bro!!! Please make a Cali vlog of you picking it up!! 40K miles what a steal.
Oh wow, so we are getting another Cam Hill road trip! Sweet! Congrats man!

Definitely worth it man!!! Congrats! People don’t understand how amazing this car is! Excited for the mods!! 👏
Bring it to a Honda dealership for inspection and also for them to check the car before doing cross country trip
You're not joking for finding a unicorn. What a grab! Congrats!

Doing car stuff becomes so much more fun and easy when you have a supportive partner. Congratulations on your purchase 🎉

Good getting the last true generation Si
