I wish I could go back and feel the rush of experiencing this band for the first time again
Over a month and I still can't get enough of this band. The vibe, sincerity and unpretentious presentation pretty much encompasses everything I love about music.
I hope this band keeps doing exactly *this*, and they never get exploited or convinced to be anyone but who they are. If this band existed in the 60s 70s they'd be famous and on the radio. This is talent that doesn't get recognized today.
Yeah, they would've been famous then, and been one of those bands that faded into obscurity later.
Heard this song on 91.7 in DFW. Love it.

What a talented group of musicians. Reminds me a lot of Van Morrison when he still wrote great songs ... before he vanished up his own ... well ... you know.
The lead singer has an amazing voice. This band sounds like something from the 60s, i really like the Bad Self Portraits album.

I just discovered this band due to Google music and all I have to say is.....WOW!!! What a breath of fresh air...great vocals, intelligent, creative and catchy songwriting and fantastic playing. I'm sold!!!
This song and band are just fantastic. I've heard this a hundred times on indie radio (WXPN Philadelphia) but this LIVE performance is just marvellous. Stay tuned to these people for great stuff.
Live is best with these guys. Check out their street corner / front porch / playground quick videos they put together. Favorite is Elijah on their front porch in Brooklyn. (the drummer plays his foot) Real musicians. They don't need production values or extra BS. With just the simplest of instruments and their awesome vocals they make great music.

Dang! They are not coming to my area for the rest of the year! They are touring Europe right now. And when they come back to the states they will mainly be up and down the East Coast. But I have got to see them! I was instantly hooked the first time I heard them. They are amazing! How refreshing it is to hear real talented musicians using old school instruments but putting out a fresh modern sound! I have never heard anything like them before. And man! Her voice! Amazing!! Wow! This is my new happy song! :-)

Wow, I'm at work, I needed a couple of headshots from a co worker. He said, "I've got tonnes, my brother is a photographer." I said that's cool! He goes, "you say that, until you are subject to your brothers photography experiments for the rest of your life." So as a joke I googled "Bad Self Portrait" and was gonna send him a bad one, and this came up instead...and now I'm in love. This sounds so great! **Edit** I'm sure some of those self portraits were lovely.
I found them by looking for Hello, Goodbye from the Beatles (on Spotify). Their title: "Hello? Goodbye." Piqued my interest, and now they're my second fav band.

A really full sound for a four piece ( drummer with no tom toms ) band . I guess the fact that they all are singing gives them that thick sound. Fantastic. Great writing and arrangements
Got this song free on iTunes and bought the album a day later. Love her voice and the harmonies. The music in general has a classic soul feel which is refreshing!
