Bridget Kearney is such a great bassist!
It's cool that she plays the upright bass rather than a guitar.
She can actually play both. I've seen a video of her on a bass guitar.
And a great harmonist
She plays both equally well but had a deeper affinity and acomprie on the double bass. She is the real deal a resplendent artist. And a virtuoso at having humor and fun. Love her!

I am completely obsessed with this song. I'm widowed, and this expressed part of my loneliness so well. I've even rewritten parts of it to make it express my situation more clearly. When I heard "Their love is amplifying all of my despair" I ached.

Every time I hear LSD Bridget's bass playing blows me away. If she's not shredding it, she's picking out some of the cleanest sharpest notes you'll ever hear from a standing bass. And she even wrote the song as well. Super talent!

Hey, Rachael- Sorry we're so loud, I realize that our noises that we make don't sound nearly as good as the noise you and your friends make when you used to rehearse in your apartment. In fact, we never heard such BEAUTIFUL noise come from another apartment or any place else. Sorry if we disturbed you guys, you're all stars now and we can say that we're the subject of that "Lake Street Dive" song. Clear off a shelf- make room for those Grammy Awards! Lake Street Dive is beautiful. Not only the music but the energy they project. Love them.
The first time I heard her sing, I was in Love. I must give them all my money! I want to own everything she has ever sung. Rachael sings with more soul than I've ever heard before, and I was immediately captivated. Check out the Jackson 5 cover....it's fantastic on that Boston sidewalk.....peace and LAKE STREET DIVE

It’s almost annoying just how goddamned talented all these guys are.
Just found and it hurts.
This is at Pickathon and it's a very draining festival, they played multiple shows throughout the weekend and this was towards the end of it. Everyone is exhausted at the end of this, including us after recording over 30 bands in a weekend.
And yet they're so good. This is one of their best performances. Shows too on Rachaels face in the end.
I wish all recorded bass sounded as good as you made Bridget's sound here. Intimate, warm, and clear- incredibly well done.

Wow. Just discovering L.S.D. in 2019. Better late than never. This version is perfect. Rachael so much soul. Bridgett smoking over there. Trumpet pointed at Rachael. Dang.
I used to play this on the speakers in the morning and my little niece would dance in her chair. The bassline made her full of energy.
I think this is my favorite Lake Street Dive song.
...but that trumpet solo's kind of underwhelming.

First song I ever heard of theirs, courtesy of our local college station. Guess it was the album version - anyway, it stopped me dead in my tracks. Had the pleasure of seeing them live this New Year's Eve and they put on a most excellent show. Hope they stick it out, they have everything they need to make a solid go of it!
