I wrote a paper back in college in one of my quantommachnics classes about clothes dryers creating micro wormholes. The combination of heat, static, and rotational force explaining the random missing sock. Got the highest grade in the class that week
Alien loot goblins that look like Sponge Bob Squarepants. Who would have thunk such a thing could be. But then again, I've stranger stuff than that here on Planet Earth.
I remember going with my parents to the "dump", often finding things that had been thrown out that were still perfectly good (just dirty) or finding parts to repair items we had that were broken. This was in the 1960's before landfills really became a thing, at least where we lived.
Very reminiscent of a Jack Vance SF/detective story. "The Unspeakable McInch is a 17/18 page short story that was issued initially in the magazine Startling Stories in November, 1948. Magnus Ridolph is hired to visit the planet of Sclerotto to identify and deal with a murderer named McInch, whose real identify is unknown." Highly recommended.
Yes, one's trash really, literally, IS another one's treasure. Also, those aliens bring hoarding to a whole new level. Just one of them is the equivalent of at least all of the hoarders of the USA PLUS Canada and Mexico taken together.
Unless I’m thinking about this wrong, the aliens want to take 75 TONS, worth of trash out of that landfill. It’s 150,000 pounds worth of trash. (They are going to be there for a while.)
@@robertstoneking7916 not to mention the fact that they are just straight up taking it to another dimension. Unless they are just traveling in another dimension and then popping back to reality. (Though if they aren’t, and humans figure out that they want our trash, then that is a very useful garbage disposal possibility.)
Before people turned into complete inconsiderate a holes, pick a part yards were the best for finding the odd repair part for a vehicle. Got the HVAC module for my 91 chevy 1500 after something bad happened to the OEM one lol. Know a few dumpster divers.
Greetings, Mentlegent! For the Rhyhtm that is Algo Okay, that was NOT the kind of droppings I was expecting! But I'm glad to be wrong. Also clever use of alien POV.
Here is a like and comment for the story, for entertaining me, to help your channel grow, to appease the great and powerful UA-cam algorithm demon, and get you the recognition you deserve.

@miked.9364 What you think of as socialism was never true socialism. Politicians lie. Imagine that. Until you educate yourself, you're not worth my time. Good luck, cause you definitely need it.
Its where all the lost socks go
i was going to mention this
And why the returned ones have holes!
Also the pens you drop that magically disappears.
The missing sockets in sets.

For the creative author!
For the talented voice actor!
For the algorithm!
May it be kind to the Squirrel 🐿️ and his nest,

Oh dear gods....this takes me back, my Dad was a void sponge...no doubt about it.
I thought that was a job class like mechanic or artist or packrat.
That's delightful. You really brought the characters to life. Thank you so much!
This one deserves at least a comic!
Wait until someone introduces them to a hoarder's house... and lets them know they're doing a public service by cleaning it up!
Great story; Excellent narration! I'm surprised that these aliens are not permanently hired by archeology teams around the galaxy. LOL!!!
I would have to say that they would be banned from archeology digs the universe over because they would want to keep all the finds.
These stories are always a treasure.
These aliens would love mudlarking videos.
Now I'm Imagining sponge cows frolicking around piles of trash having the time of their lives
Can we take some time to appreciate the start of the story where it shows humans treating psoriasis on alien sponge cows?
A wholesome Story, I Like it.
Thanks to the narrator, and to the writer.
I do believe i have seen those creatures in my area ! they usually move about in something resembling a truck, and rumble through my trash.
That brought a smile to my face, great reading and great story by the author!
Much appreciation to the author and the narrator for gifting us this entertaining and well crafted story 💐⭐👽🌹
Darn it! Here I was thinking, "At last, we figured out where all the odd socks went..."
oh could you image the poor world that the pocket dimension empties into if it should ever fail (bag of holding inside a bag of holding)
For the Algorithm, for the Author(s), for the Holographic Voice!
Nice new alien friends. Need more stories with alien friends.
That was a fantastic story
I did not see that happening from the title.
Great read.
Great story and you read it with the amazing quality I love about this channel.
They can take every clamshell every made and any made in the future too. Damn things.

For some reason, this kind of reminds me of pickmen 2. Where your jobs to go around and collect "treasures" Which are just junk or random Lost toys.
Have you played the video game "grounded" yet size difference is a treasure.
Keep up the amazing work

Should help a bit with the lifespan of the landfill if these aliens show up with any frequency.

At a credit per half tone... Those 150000 credits are for 75 000 tones. Yes, they are going to be there for a while.

Stupid story narrated well.
I still have zero ideas why scify societies aere always socialistics and scream that capatilism is bad.
Because capitalism requires infinite growth with finite resources. It's always doomed to collapse
@@tabithachastain6999 Yeah, think that through.
