To be fair, that isn't just 83 BULLETS per second, that is 83 MICRO-NUKES TRAVELING AT A NOTICABLE PERCENTAGE OF LIGHT SPEED per second. But yeah, could be a bit faster:D
AI's as opposed to humans - a matter of time perception. A few seconds are so fast to a human. But those seconds to the AI are an enormous amount of time to go through and wait on.

If you think DU is a dense and dangerous munition just try neutronium! (What neutron stars are made of). Two small problems. One is mass. At about 100 million metric tonnes per cubic centimeter even a handful of rounds would outmass even the largest of spacecraft, never mind trying to build a gun that could actually accelerate those slugs to a usable speed. The other is the fact that it is unbelievably unstable. The only reason that it exists in neutron stars is that the unfathomably immense gravity of the star keeps it from blowing itself apart with energy that would make an atomic weapon weapon with envy. Remember these things are under as much gravitational pressure as the universe can provide before it "breaks" and forms a black hole, the internals of which are pretty much all speculation as physics as we know it sort of breaks down and it is not possible to "look" into it using any known means or any theoretical means that obey the laws of physics as we know them. So not really going to happen unless the tech in the story is not just so far advanced as to be indistinguishable from magic, but so far advanced as to be indistinguishable from Godhood. Other than those couple of hurdles, why not?
@@Snipergoat1 ; Thanks for the response. But realistically the bullet would have between half a gram to two grams per bullet cross sectional density, based on diameter size. The possible projectiles size would be twenty millimeter to fifty or sixty millimeter range. The alloy encasement is, while not public yet. Is expected to be 3D printed and kilm treated in zero gravity. The ISS a few years ago tested powdered printing with other elements. The alloy is being designed now to house current radioactive pills/rods. Thoughts on just in case micro meteor strikes in space travel. Scientists know of a couple ways to possibly make synthetic neutronium currently. Nuclear fusion and a specific modification to a particle accelerator. Well there's also quantum quark build up. Outside of the tech that we are currently building a foundations for the next two to five hundred years. My one up idea is something that is expected in eight hundred to one thousand years. The quantum quark is expected in maybe in two thousand years. Thanks again.
You have helped me survive many a night ships. I also think you could narrate the owners manual for a Ford F-150 truck, and make it sound entertaining.
Take a left, go down the hall about thirty miles, cross the hay field and take a right at the gate and follow the tunnel about 5 & 11/8 and go up three times and then down the flight of stairs to your left. Turn right into the infinite(not really but it feels like it) hallway and take the third door on the left, marked seven. It will come out of the sixth door on the right, marked 42 ACE. Turn around and go back through THAT door, cross the lobby, take the elevator to three days ago. Go straight ahead, and, in the third cubicle on the left, you'll find a two year old who knows how to get you back to where you want to go. Got it? Good.👍 Also, spaghetti in a blender is a good way to describe my thoughts at any given time. 😊
Lieutenant Commander Data: And for a time, I was tempted by her offer. Captain Jean-Luc Picard: How long a time? Lieutenant Commander Data: 0.68 seconds sir. For an android, that is nearly an eternity.
That sounds truly impressive, but also kind of overkill. That is an absolutely enormous amount of mass going down range at a significant fraction of C!
You do realise, You're totally bonkers 😅 Love that "human" narration. Thank you so much, being dyslexic your narration brings much enjoyment. Had I cash to spare it would go your way.
This is the third time listening to "What's with all the giant guns?" It makes me smile every time. The first story even inspired me to write up my own 'Giant Gun' short story. I hope to share it here soon.
I often wondered how we humans and our computers are going to deal with the time difference. I think the computers should just use avatars, I wouldn't mind if they did. Think how boringly long a conversation with a human must be to a computer.
For the creative authors 👍 For the talented voice actor👍 For those who should and will subscribe👍 For the algorithm 🎉 I want one of the GAU 80" cannons ... just for fun at the gun range on Sunday. 😂😂
Turn left at the tree. Go like 10 minutes down the bumpy road till you see what i think used to be a convince store but the lights are still on outside. Take the 2nd right after that. Go down the way again till you hit the local air port. Shouls be a 4 way. Go straight. And tthen turn right when you see the split. Go past the mcdonalds and turn right again. Again another right. Then you should be there. Hope that helps like button. Good luck little fellow. Dont forget stay strapped or get clapped

So Mr. Like, when you make that right at the next intersection, you're gonna want to take a left, left, right, straight for 800 miles then stop for food cause you're gonna be starving, I recommend the burger place, get the double burger and shake.
Second story was cute. But the first story had me snickering, giggling and laughing. 😂😂😂😂 Please sir more giant guns. Also a giant guns playlist would be nice.

Fantastic!
While I was serving in the USN, CIWS was pronounced "see-wiz". R2D2's angry cousin.
" like r2-d2 had angry sex with an a-10 warthog and made a baby" is the best description for the c.i.w.s.

I dunno man, any more mass down range may have gravitational reprocussions

CIWS is an acronym, and is normally pronounced "Sea Whiz." It stands for Close-In Weapon System.
Yeah but an eight inch fraction-of-the-speed-of-light CIWS deserves it being spelt out in all its respect and glory
@direguff6245 they should have called it "R2-FuckU" lol
