I keep my 900e off-line like you as it's a monitor. But my X930e is used for a quite a few smart features and everything else but hasn't had any issues at all. Is it just supposed to be a X900e issue? Haven't heard of any other Sony models having this problem...
It dosent depend of the speed i had the same problem with my 900e but littery i had it happen a couple times after i had just turned the tv on... wasnt even doing anything yet
It's an update. You need to leave online updates on to keep the tv up to speed, my 930 is very quick for a Android tv, and Android 8 should be dropping soon. I don't know if the 900E is getting it?
I appreciate the updates however I stay far away from them as they have damaged past displays for me . The 900E is basically a monitor for me as I don't use the smart features at all. Thank you as always
No problems w/mine yet🤞. My android menu also runs quick. Just in last month or so though. I started closing out all applications on it after use them though too, about that long ago. Give it less to think about at once helps...maybe🤷♂️?

Is yours still online biff? If so I would try and update it and if you've done that I would do a factory hard reset which includes unplugging the display, you can find a video of it on my channel or on sonys . Did you do the hard reset biff? Also check your surge protector or plug , my PC was randomly turning off ams the plug was a little loose in terms of its connection. Also if you contact sony directly they can connect to your display and check it out. Hope this helps but let me know if it doesn't please.
What I mean is when entering game mode the processing is the options which are grayed out in order to keep input lag lower mainly motion interpolation.
Not a troll post. I commented when you first started out on here with the 900E. Congrats on grabbing a fan base! My 75900E is coming up on a year old in October and I have NEVER EVER seen this or had it happen to me. My tv is hooked up online through wifi and I have the following devices hooked up to it. Apple 4k tv, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and Nintendo Switch. All hooked up to a Sony HT-NT5 soundbar btw. I don't doubt it does not happen to people. I see you are showing it and others have commented about it happening to them. But, I cant explain to you why I have never had this happen to me. I watch a lot of tv on it and game all the time. Yes switching the picture setting to Game mode often when I game and switch back to cinema settings after I am done. Either way obviously Sony cant fix it through firmware or it would be fixed by now. I think this tv is EOL as far as updates go from here on out. They are focused on the 900F. It might sound really stupid and its just a thought. Could it be from dirty power coming in for some people that are not using a quality surge protector? I am using the following here with my setup www.bestbuy.com/site/monster-power-black-platinum-1200-12-outlet-2-usb-surge-protector-strip-black/1600028.p?skuId=1600028 Sadly I have seen many people spend hundreds of dollars even a few thousand like in my case. Maybe I am just lucky, but never had it happen with my TV. Perhaps it is cause I never “fly” through the picture settings because as you point out it seems like some major switching occurs during the picture mode changes. I wouldn’t say I particularly go “slow” either, just haven’t rushed and been fine. Have my TV I believe with the latest updates. Just no problems and am very happy with the experience. As for Android; does not bother me because I use mostly my Apple TV4k for smart features and that interface is fast and beautiful. I use the 900e for its superior picture quality and don’t count on it for much else... lol With that in mind I am well satisfied.

I would think Sony friend! Screen uniformity is just nearly impossible at this size as it's a huge , heavy yet delicate piece of tech which has to be shipped and handled. I love my 1080p projector at 200 inches its awesome. Thanks as always my friend
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I hard reset, factory reset. My tv can get to the main screen but then when I navigate shuts off by itself and gives me the red light again, it's in an endless cycle atm
you need to update the tv to newest firmware they fixed the red blinking lights in the last firmware update...i wait on firmware updates too but the last update fixed alot of things

Nope you'll be fine! It happens when moving through the settings to quickly and the android OS cant keep up. So just slow down through the menus especially when going in and out of game mode. Hope this helps

The android os and laggy menu was what put me off of sony. I tried all the models from the 700 right up to the 940e and they were all different in the speed they react - but all laggy. My dnr860 amp is the same , press the home button and their is a 1 or 2 second delay untill the menu comes up. Why on earth can they not fix this, if they did they would be head and shoulders above every other manufacturer.
funny thing that you just posted this,, because my 900e just started doing this in the last 2-3 weeks,.. It would show those 4 circle animations when i would go to power it on,,it would happen maybe twice per week.. I dont find it such a big deal,, just a slight annoyance...
I've not had the red blink as of yet. (By the way, ordered my ps4 pro 500 million edition yesterday (I was one of the lucky ones) and it would sure look nice on your man cave with the neon blu.) I don't use any of the android features but I do have it connected to Web.

If the panel goes you’ll have pink and green bars and that’s it, mine went out and Sony sent me a replacement 6 months after warranty and the replacement tv is turning off and blinking red, they are gonna fix it but damn Sony wtf is goin on. They said it’s the power supply so we’ll see
Whisper Status 74 well they are now sending me a new 65” 900f along with a 2 year warranty. So not bad, but for the 2 months of headache, it was a hell of a situation to be in. Even when the cost of the TVs are so high. Fingers crossed the new one works🤣🤣🤣. It should bein a new one
I also got this issue on my xbr65x930e. Sony send a 3rd party repair technician to my home and what he did was replaced the cheap LED Board, hours later the red light came back on I call Sony they tell me that my t.v. needed more service and that the only solution for me is to replace it, so they offered me a brand new x900f. Sony customer service for me was one of the best. Call Sony on Friday got a repair man 4days later, weeks later recieved my brand new x900f all free and their service was superfast all within 2 weeks.
Pao Xiong I get mine tomorrow, it was a really bad experience when it comes to how long it took them but they are giving me a new tv as well at no charge to me. Fingers crossed it works and I’ll be happy. I will say Sony will stand behind their products, and for me that’s a big deal and I’ll definitely purchase Sony products in the future
So what is up with Android TV? I LOVE the Pixel phone from Google, its pure Android as intended and its fast as can be and amazing. Why doesn't Google fix this?
Never had that happen on mine. Supposedly if you don't scroll through picture modes like a maniac it won't do that. I give a little pause between each mode and knock on wood it's been fine.

I had the 78" ks9500 and the thing was a complete mess with crazy edge lig bleed and flashlighting and Samsung told me it was normal. Whisper Status 74 yea..my ks8500 holds up good but its no full array.really want the q9 2018..but i have a feeling they will have micro led or 12 bit panels in a couple years.just when u think tvs cant get no better..they do. I went ahead and claimed the codes on vudu..but damn my internet cant hold the 4k feed..keep getting a scrambled screen.im fully digital on games..but movies im fully physical.hope physical doesnt go away for movies
I would definitely hold off as you have a fully capable 4k HDR and while I like the the q9fn it's still a stop gap until 12bit panels arrive . Enjoy what you have brother !! Physical media will disappear at some point but not for a few more years until everyone is guaranteed to have the needed bandwidth.

I have a hard reset vid on the channel however it wont remove or roll back updates, give it a shot. Just look up 900e reset and it will be there

Just hit the power button to restart it

0 issues with mine, i do not even turn it off and never had the red light and i got it almost a year ago
