- You guys have been asking for it and so we're bringing it to you! Today we show you how to fit 20x12 -44's with 33x12.5s using the NorCal mod on a leveled out 1500. This will work for all 99-06 GM 1500's!

So I have a stock 01 Tahoe. Will 33/12.50/17s fit ?
What size leveling kit is in that truck I just got a Tahoe and I have 22x12 on a 305/45 just want to know before I buy something

716 eqz I have the same set up 12 wides 33s just leveled and did everything in this vid and the washer bottle is all that hits only at full turn, unless i want to relocate it witch I don't I'll live with not being able to get that last 1/4 turn of the wheel. This is also what the customer wanted witch is what he ment by his statement.
@@jpwrangler1 Instead of relocating the fluid bottle, couldn't you just heat it up and deform it inward to make clearance?

fit 33s just fine on my 91 reg cab short box 4x4 Not k1500. Not sure but I think they sit a little higher than extended cabs stock. Btw Your truck is by far one of the best k1500 builds on UA-cam man. Looks Awesome.
+Motley Drummer the older trucks and some newer ones fit 33s like a glove. There are some years though that disagree. And thanks man I really appreciate the kind words.

My 06 with 18/35’s rubs a little on the passenger side bumper, more so when I have a passenger and turning hard left. I’m running a 6” lift. I think it just needs some trimming, but it’s so close to the lower valence mount that I may lose the valence. “Cost of doing business” I guess lol. If I went with a iron cross or similar steel bumper it wouldn’t be an issue anymore. Great vid, keep up the good work!
That’s what I did but with out the leveling kit on it stock front and back had to trim the front bumper not to hard I got to get the back trimmed up but love the look a lot better than one lifted up nice job...

love the full blown fuels...have them on my stock height 01 silverado with no leveling kit running nitto mud grapplers 33x12.5x20 and just minor trimming..rubs on washer bottle too

I have done this with 20x65x275 on a 99 Silverado 2WD, and it will continue to rub on the washer fluid housing until it rubs a hole in it. And the plastic will catch and rub. I just took it out all together. Plan on relocating it. The driver side also has cables behind the plastic in the fender well.

I did 35s with stock 17s on my suburban used it like that for about 2 month till i put ford keys & 2.5 coil spacers in the back

yes it has to do with the diff types of lifts and alot of truck guys run spacers as well. And most leveling kits are 2.5inches. I need to talk to someone at your shop about wheels and tires for a brand new 2016 Tacoma trd off-road.
I ran 37-13.50s on stock rims with a level kit and 2in spacers on my 2000 f150

I just finished doing this same thing to my 2003 tahoe. I'm running 20x12 -44 offset Red Dirt Roads with 305/55/20 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's. I purchased my setup through Custom Offsets and they are a fine outfit. I must say however, that the amount of work required to create necessary turning clearance with only a leveling kit is not for the weary. Cutting the front bumper is the easy part. It's what's in the rear that's a challenge. There's quite a bit of structural steel behind the fender liner in the rear of the fender that needs to be cut and folded to make clearance. It took me a few attempts to get enough of the steel out of the way and I still have slight rubbing in the front driver's side. My driver's side tire rubs on the windshield washer reservoir like mentioned in this video and will likely need to be relocated or eventually I will wear a hole through the reservoir rendering it useless. Relocation will mean fabricating a bracket of some sort, rerouting and extending existing wiring and tubing. Overall, I'm pleased with the results and absolutely love the new look of my rig. I will also point out this is the greatest length I've gone to in order to put a set of rims and tires on a vehicle and let others know that if you are planning on a similar setup to be prepared to take on a pretty significant undertaking.
Cover the washer fluid tank with a piece of sheet metal to prevent it from rubbing through the plastic

I did the same size specks on a 2000 silverado with 3inch cups and didnt have to trim anything..but it does rub very little on that water jug.

35s on just leveled
ty petersen tbh i have a 2010 i bought 35s/12.50/17 nitto trail grapplers on a 3.5 inch lift and i had to go down to 295/70/17 which is pretty much 34s bc the rub on both front fenders but the back part was bad!! and it was trouble trying to cut it bc u had to cut into frame.. so for 35s i prefer u get a bigger lift or go down to 33s or 295/70

I put 34's on a still slightly raked 02' Avalanche. They said I couldn't do more than 33's, especially on a cladded Avy. Next I'll try 35's and leveled. And a hammer. Lol
I fit 20x10 -19 sprockets on a lowered 05 denali. Some inner fender plastic was sacrificed.

I have a 2000 1500 stock right now, planning on putting a rough country leveling suspension kit with keys in, eventually new tires and 2" wheel spacers for stance, what is the biggest tire size i can fit without cutting. Can i fit 12 wide or would i have to go with 10-10.5. And also can you make a video on how to do the nor cal tuck

The driver's side is the toughest side because of the wiper fluid tank.. I'm thinking about doing a 20x12 -24 on 33x12.5 xt atturros with no leveling kit

This is how I've been doin my trucks since my days at Colorado State U. Just finished a similar job on my 98 Suburban to fit 35 x 12.50s (315 75r16) on only 4" of lift. My 94 S10 has run 33s on just a 2" body lift for years. In the Rockies lifting your center of gravity can get you killed.
....slight rubbing is how you know you've maxed out...now I'm thinking 37s should be what I put on the 'Burban as it stands now.

I have 34/12.50/20 nitto trail grapplers on my GMC Sierra 1500 and didn't do anything but turn my tortion bars up🤷🏽♂️ it only scrubbed on my shock plate with my wheels fully turned.

Got full crank and I did way less trimming than they did, just trim bumper and the plastic wheel wells with the bottom metal lip bent back lmao, talk about tucked

I bet these guys told their customer what the pros & cons are. If its safe & all you have to worry about is terrible wear & tear on the front end, oh well his truck. I like a shop that will do what a CUSTOMER wants even if theres complications from that build later on.

Hey man I did this, but I have 20 x10 and I also put 2 inch spacers and it runs really bad! I have a 3 inch level kit! And I've seen lower trucks the same way and it doesn't rub, you have any suggestions?
I have the same setup 33x12.50r20s Toyo MT's on 20x12 962's on a leveling kit, and didn't have to cut/touch the front bumper (besides valance). And I'm able to turn all the way, both ways even over huge bumps, and no rubbing. Leveling kit is also only about 1/2-3/4 up.

I'm not sure on actual sizes of tires since they all vary even though they say they are "33s". But I got the rough country leveling kit, and its about half way up, and I don't rub at all. You can add me on insta @thatbluechevy and I can send you the pictures of where I cut and such.

My 03 Sierra is leveled on 285/75/16 (32.9x11.2) and after plastic liner trimming it still rubs pretty good on the washer fluid tank, any solutions for that?
