  • Not being able to turn the steering wheel all the way without my tires rubbing was getting annoying. So in todays video I am doing what is called the NorCal mod. Just some simple cutting, hammering and painting that doesn't take much time at all. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

This is a great video. I feel like any video with the norcal just explains it without actually showing the whole process. I’ve got an 08 Sierra 2500 that I’m going the level and they say you can fit 33’s in it without trimming but this helps a lot just in case. I can’t wait to get those tiny stock tires off

      Glad I could help. I’m running 22x12.5r33 on a 3” leveling kit

Great Job! I have a little different setup, 02 2500 leveled with a slightly bigger tire. I did the tuck and trimmed everything when I got the setup about a year ago and was able to full crank on pavement both ways. I do take my truck off road for fishing and things like that (nothing extreme), but I noticed recently that I've been getting some bad rubbing on the fender flares and a little on the wheel well covers. I didn't have mine screwed back, so I'm going to take your advice on that one. Just curious...have you had any issues clipping the fender flares? I found one other old video of a guy that had the flares clipped, but nobody mentions it in the "norcal tuck" content.

I haven’t had any issues with fender flare clipping but I haven’t been off roading in it yet. I have had it flexing pretty good once and I’m sure if a guy isn’t careful off roading it could be an issue.

Looks like wheel spacers too? Any idea how thick they are?

The headlights are auto saver 88 on Amazon but I will say after 9 months of them being in the truck the top ones have started to yellow. I’m not sure about the taillights, they were already on the truck when I bought it.
