My Trip on The Padarn Lake Railway, Llanberis, Wales, April 2023

It's April 2023 and i'm taking a ride on the Narrow Gauge Llanberis Lake Railway that runs along the shores of Lake Padarn. The track uses part of the formation of the old Dinorwig Slte Quarry's line to Port Dinorwic but only as far as Brynrefail. We are riding behind steam loco Thomas Bach from Llanberis to Brynrefail and back to Gilfach Ddu. At Cei Llydan station we wait for another service to pass hauled by steam loco Dolbadarn, while back at Gilfach Ddu we see Thomas Bach going to & from Llanberis. I'd forgot how crowded the countryside could become there... even the Lynmouth cliff railway used to become crazily busy 50 years ago
