Quick updates: 1) Please don't say anything about a jar 2) Brad ("Seeker"), the modder, arrived at the stream and may possibly release the mod that shows the unlocked tiles to the public via Steam - check back for an update this week if it happens and I will link it -- (Thanks again, Brad!)
Maybe instead of those pointless challenges how about you make videos that show how to play for NOObs? game tutorials The best button mapping...what to focus on first when you start every normal game play ( not those hard core challenges ) What type of common injuries you will encounter in the game and how to treat them ... what type of other problems you will encounter and how to sole them etc. what are the best weapons to use... best melee weapons and best guns . etc Something actually useful not those weird challeng videos.
What this mod needs now is the possibility to add a certain amount of tiles to start with and a zombie kill multiplier for new tiles. That way we could have challenges like starting with 1000 tiles but never gaining any new tile. Or we could make the challenge a bit easier by gaining more tiles when killing zombies or harder by gaining less tiles from kills.
@@bradseeker Glad you noticed my comment! Can't wait to see "Can I escape Louisville with only 2000 tiles of movement?" challenges popping up. Your mod could bring a breath of fresh air in the community
Actually, just having this as a kind of a podcast like experience, listening to you talk about how once you stopped trying to progress with running, you started to enjoy it helped me with a new perspective and feeling reassured. Thank you double A.
I think you are spot on with the "cultivate a mindset where you start to enjoy the things that would be considered a grind.". I often have a hard time describing my hobbies and interests, as I often want to say that I enjoy everything. You possess great wisdom beyond your years. Also, lovely video in general!
Your streams are so delightful to listen to. I always find myself laughing irl listening to you weave in jokes with your commentary. The way you phrase stuff really helps the jokes blindside me, it's great. "I like my naïveté... this is my sigma male grind" had me losing it.
a THOUSAND colonists? Holy shit. And here I thought the 200 (?) colonist playthrough was a lot 😵💫 they really would be like an ant colony with 1k of them running around [and probably having mental breaks]

I so often check a channel for new videos, see that nothing was uploaded, then leave the page, forgetting to ALSO check the Livestream tab to see actual vods. It's so dumb that the "Videos" tab doesnt have ALL content.
Goin through a PZ playlist while I work on my computer and you came up. No idea why I haven't seen ya before but god dang what a great stream. Really enjoy your commentary. A mix of goofy/pleasure and realistic/stoic for lack of better words. Definitely a new fan and hope to catch your streams!
I found your channel about a week ago. I mean this in the greatest way possible, your longer form content lets me sleep. Everything is just perfectly formatted so I feel like I can re-watch whatever I want, and your voice is soothing. Between you and Northern Lion, there's nothing better
You were talking about PZ teaching you how to live life in a philosophical sense, but for me it made me interested in the outdoors (hiking, bushcraft) and inspired me to be more crafty irl. Experiencing survival via my character is inspiring and I’ve learned valuable irl skills thanks to the game
The talk about gaming not being a waste gave me a super positive outlook, and has honestly, even in a few hours, given me a lot less dread related to spending my time on.. things I enjoy! Thanks for the help getting to that realization!! Also, seeing as you've talked about KOTOR, is there a possibility for the KOTOR remake streams or even SWTOR streams?
You point out and bring light to absurdity, which has a comedic effect, which in turn makes you a funny person and why many people take your videos as funny videos
Your humor comes from the irony of a very intelligent person who doesn’t take himself seriously playing a silly game and tearing it apart with philosophy jokes. It’s funny because it’s a type of humor that makes my brain laugh.
Bonus points from me for mentioning Alan Watts. That guy's wisdom had such a profound impact on me. Without it, I don't know how I would've gotten through so many different things in my life. And it's probably saved me from myself in many other ways as well. Glad to hear his name being thrown around still.
The exestential talk honestly is like, really helping me get a grasp on my own situation in regards to those things. Like, wanting to be able to play a lot of games and enjoy them "properly" by not having anything going on in my second monitor. And in regards to creating things, enjoying it for the action rather than the result is something i have to contend with in regards to ADHD and executive dysfunction. something my ex told me once was that "you have to be okay with doing nothing sometimes" when i was really struggling with feeling unproductive, as well. something that helps you from spiraling from stress, is not stressing out over trying to releive it.
I was gonna do this using a mod that just lets you replace any ground tile, so I could place pallets or Snow for example to mark my territory, Mod maker man "Seeker" (IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME). Please give me this mod.
I wanted to try a “road only” challenge, but allow the use of gravel and concrete bags to unlock a set amount of non-road tiles. If you’re lucky enough to find one, using it wisely takes some planning. It was a pain dropping items in each unlocked tile though, so I never got very far.
I think more tiles are needed per kill. Just to be able to properly explore a house you create enough kills/corpses to cause corpse poisoning, even if your guy is one punch man. I think at least 3 tiles per zombie is needed to solve the poisoning issue, at least in early game.
Absolutely love your content dude. IT was really interesting to hear you talk about what oyu're looking for in candidates, and your description really matched with the energy of your content. A clear and well-executed vision
Scandinavia is named after the mountain range between Norway and Sweden, with Denmark in included, due to their close history, culture and languages.. Not to be confused by the Nordic countries, which are Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands..
I have watched 2-3 of these now and keep wondering when he will realize when he yells he is calling a radius around him and when he "all of a sudden" gets swarmed by a large horde it is because he only thinks about the front and back of the houses not all the zombies to all 4 sides of the house. They finally break out to get to him.
I often play your videos in the background for when I'm playing a game because you're such a soothing producer of content. However its also at its detriment because I often focus on your videos more than the game I'm playing because you're so interesting
The steam library bit. 100% on point. I stare at all these games I have bought and never opened because I don't want the disappointment of the game not being as good as I thought it would be when I bought it.

As a consumer of your content, and this may just be me, just turns out to be funny. It may not be the point of the videos, but rather the presentation (delivery?) along with words and sound of your voice end up generating comedy. I guess in the way that some people prefer different flavors of food and hate others, your just so happens to tickle many of our collective funny bones.
