I have made 3 Travel Duffle Bag 2.0, 1 MJ's Messenger Bag and 1 Divide and Conquer bags and I love ByAnnie patterns. I have 2 friend that both want a Travel Duffle Bag 2.0 so I am going to be busy making ByAnnie patterns. Thanks for the ideas for men as my husband says he loves my work but I never make him anything. lol I'm going to make him the "Hang In There" that I saw today so he doesn't lose the myriad of remotes for all of the devices he controls from his favorite chair. Going to your site now to purchase. Again, thanks.
After recently completing a A Place For Everything for my hubby I really enjoyed todays live for guys and look forward to next week too. I just finished making one for myself and now I’m making my guy a Double Zip Gear bag. It’s been fun sewing up ByAnnie bags he will love to use.
Still can't believe those great "basic" patterns are free. Especially "call me" I actually had strangers on the supermarket asking me where I got mine. It's super useful and the pockets are perfect. Thank you for your generosity. I'm still waiting for some store in Japan to have By Annie products since shipping makes it a little pricey but still worth it. ;)
My husband uses a small modified beach duffel bag, with pockets all around the outside. It has a rope through grommet closure. He keeps oversized sunglass cases and his 2nd phone with any extra stuff too bulky for his pockets. It stays in the trunk when running errands around our neighborhood. It is a soft version of your bucket cover. We call it his "purse-bag" and he is on his 2nd one.
Hi, this is actually Lisa using my hubby's account (LOL)n I really enjoyed this and it's got me thinking about Christmas gifts for my guys. I am curious about the cozy that Annie's drinking glass sits in. Is there a pattern for it? Hope to hear back thanks.
Always enjoy your videos. Could you tell me the name of the pattern the grandmother used to make her twin grandsons their bags? I looked through your on line catalog and was unable to find it.
Hello Sherri! We're disappointed to, that we can't offer the prize to UA-cam viewers. We've tried it in the past and when we notify the winner they never see our message. Facebook allows us to contact the winner directly. We hope that you understand that we surely don't want to exclude anyone.
While I appreciate and love Annie explaining each product and her in depth modeling of each item, thank you Annie - I wanted to mention how elderly the products are feeling and how I feel like I should be 60+ in order to watch these videos. I don’t feel like the scripted staccato speech like presentation is winning over many young fresh quilters. I caution Annie boxing your company in a corner of old fashion customer base. It’s all the little scripted comments and funny little car sales lines that kill it for me. While I’m not far from 60 myself I would appreciate some youthful unscripted presentations and do away with the outdated gender stereotypes. Just my thoughts to carry these great sewing projects into the 21st and beyond.
Your “elderly” comments just don’t resonate with me. The wide variety of fabrics are fresh and interesting even though I enjoy vintage fabrics, sashiko, and upcycling as my favorites. The script is to the point and not staccato. Pretty polished in comparison to many other companies. I have watched all the videos. Annie packs a lot of information into these free videos. Off the cuff narration would not contain as much information, to the detriment of the viewers. The “sewing for men” is a frequent request of many customers. I enjoyed hearing about the guys in the sewing classes.
I think Annie’s patterns appeal to any age and any gender. Her son is part of the company and many of her staff are young adults. She is using fabric designed by very current and popular designers. I would be interested to see an example of what you might suggest for a ‘fresh young quilter”, both in a pattern or a fabric.
I love the punny names of your patterns. Great ideas!
Wait… Tim Holtz makes fabrics too? I love his paper crafting supplies.
I KNOW TREVOR!!! KNOW HIM SINCE WE WERE 8!!! AWSOME STUFF MAN!!!!
This is a great topic, I love your ideas! Thanks Annie, keep up the good work!

I'm 38 and love By Annie. I guess it depends on your lifestyle. ;) ☆
