  • What is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)? It is a specific form of CBT called exposure and response prevention (ERP). It consists of getting exposure to - or facing - those situations that trigger obsessions and then resisting the urge to engage in the compulsions. By embracing uncertainty and facing their anxiety, clients can begin to reduce the impact of obsessions and compulsions on their lives. As always, exposure-based treatments need to be done under the care and guidance of a mental health professional.

Most OCDs are not drug addicts and Neither should ever be treated as such because they're not! Treat all people with care and respect no matter what. That's actually the best medicine!

@Jose Obregon not at all. The video was very good. The accent is beautiful and does not in any way interfere with the information being clearly conveyed. The audio definitely needed to be a little more balanced. The mic was picking up a lot of background noise.
