Theo Valenti it really does. The only think I wish it had was more lower end bass. I really miss this system because now I have Lincoln MKZ and the thx system is garbage, worst I’ve heard.

I agree with you, sound is crystal clear on all the speakers, but besides a 7' inch subwoofer is incluided on the system. it sounds like the bass is underpowered by the amp.
Just an FYI… In the door there is a woofer and a mid range not a tweeter the Tweeter is up in the sail panel at the top of the door. The best way to add bass to the car is to do what I've done. You remove the 8 inch woofer in the back deck and build what's called a fourth order subwoofer enclosure and fire the port up through the hole in the rear deck where the 8 inch woofer used to be. I'm running 2-12 inch woofers with approximately 3000 (REAL) watts. Upgraded to a lithium battery which made a huge difference. Also replaced the three-way set up in the doors and sail panels with a set of Hertz high-energy three ways. Left everything else stock speaker wise and it sounds pretty good. More of a sound quality set up but if I want to shake some teeth loose it can do that too!

You are running the Hertz door speakers off just the stock amp?
Boosting your eq like that only damages the speakers over time. Just leave it flat or cut things instead of Boosting
2018 models on up the subwoofer was moved to the spare tire well. Bass is more dynamic. 2015 -2017 subwoofer is in rear deck. Huge difference in sound of bass

@@321verykind never in my life heard of Lexicon before. Always was a cadillac man. Purchased a 2018 Genesis G80 with the Ultimate Package from Carvana last month. The 17 speaker Lexicon system in the vehicle is SENSATIONAL! 1 of the best sound systems ive ever had in a vehicle hands down
Hello I have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis where is that surround sound in the audio system my setup I think maybe a little different I never seen it before I love the acoustic sounds
Hikean Robinson do you have the lexicon system? If you have the basic system, I don’t think there is a surround sound mode
@@321verykindI don't have it so I'm going to just spend some money and upgrade the system by putting some Alpine's in the doors and a couple of Orion twelves in the back more so I'm trying to get a great acoustic mid-range sound rather than deep heavy Bass.I listen to a lot of soft rock don't really need the Bass But thank you for the response.
Lexicon, revel, burmester, mark levinson, and B&W are my go to when looking at cars. I think I’ll get a Mercedes’ in the future with the burmester. I would go genesis for the lexicon but I think they changed to bang and olufson recently.
Never listened to burmester before but I can imagine how good it is. Yes Genesis switched over the band and olufson but may still have the lexicon as an option on lower end models and trim.
Its a Audiophile system. Not designed to be over exaggerated with bass
What would you compare lexicon with els 3D from acura Rdx?

I am a car freak, love my 2012 Genesis. I rent luxury cars for business, BMW's Cads, you name it...nothing has the sound system my Genesis has, not even close. Bass is great, unless you are listening to crap,
Not enough low-end bass. It’s a good system, one of the best I’ve heard. I listen to rap, and I need that low end bass😩
Same on the '12? I have the 4.6 sedan with the lex and have yet to scout the speaker locations 🤣
Nathan Lester yes I believe they are in the same location in the 2012s.
Just add a bass tube to the factory headunit if you want more bass - - splice the rear subwoffer and put a amplified small tube in its place...
My audio just went out, the system still works just no sound..any idea ?
Yo B happened to me as well. I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and put it back, then it worked. If not check your fuses. Good luck
@@321verykind we tried that yesterday, disconnected the negative terminal for 15 mins and still no sound.. im praying it's a fuse, however i cannot find the right one. I checked the box inside the cabin and those two multimedia fuses seemed intact. Would you happen to know where that specific fuse is located ? Thanks
Yo B i wouldn’t know the fuse, as I do not own the car anymore unfortunately. But if I remember correctly, the fuses were located in the trunk, not sure which one to pull out tho.
Disconnect the battery, wait 20 minutes then reconnect...worked for me. Also, there is a way to get into sound and reengage...look for youtube video.
@@jimking8754 i'VE ALREady tried disconnecting the terminal, not sure what you mean by getting into the sound and reengage, if you had the link for the video that would be awesome. ill look for it in the mean time
