My first thought was that Vault-Tec captured her and put her on ice until it was time to re-claim the wasteland and put her to put cold fusion to work on the new American power monopoly
Great video! One piece of constructive criticism for your edits though: For audio, you notice the clicking to stop/pause recording from your mouse at the end of each cut. Easiest way to prevent that and have your audio track more consistent through the entirety of it would be to record a second or two of blank audio after speaking and during editing simple remove it to smooth it all out into the next audio segment. Cheers!
Your theory of her being a synth makes a lot more sense than my theory was. For some reason, I thought she was somehow a ghoul that got the benefits of a long life and regeneration, without the drawbacks of physical deterioration. As for her "Flame Mother" title, well... she's the inventor of the cold fusion, which if you don't look too closely could resemble a candle flame in a bottle, but also as a source of energy would have strong associations with fire - the kind of energy we've been using since the stone age.
If she is a synth she was sent out to recover cold fusion. It was another angle to solve the power problems the Institute was was having during Fallout 4.
This was a great video. I was intrigued and listening the whole way through. I love this style of content. It's certainly a plausible explanation and an interesting theory. While I think not as plausible (at least as i see it right now), there is another lore-friendly possibility: Gary......
Lee could have Pods in the basement of HOLLYWOOD FOREVER. Wakes up every 50 years or so, looks around, decides her next move, it was the pleasantness of the NCR and Shady Sands that kept her out of the pod. Would she need help going back to sleep? I don't know, I'm agnostic on which theory is correct. In Todd, Jonah, and Geneva we must trust. Both theories are plausible, yours gives the tie in to Wilzig. I believe that Lee and Rose were special friends, which makes Hank a petty POS as well as a genocidal monster. Norm was also along for the custody battle, and he's pretty important
Especially shirtless worship or any unclothed worship is kind of severe because it’s an extreme way of showing you bring no falsehood with you when you worship. Very old fashioned in our western world and maybe only practiced still in very hot places for practicality. They’re either just being extra for atmosphere or trying to show very staunch, very sincere worship
The difference between fetishization and representation often comes down to execution, most often brought about by stereotypical traits, dehumanizing characteristics etc. which, tbh none of the characters I’ve come across have come off as grossly offensive. Veronica seems chill asf.
I like an idea of comparing character of the show to games. Like Ghoul being New Vegas character. Lucy - Fallout 3. If so then I guess Moldaver would be Fallout 76 protagonist - in a sense that they live and die having no plot armor.
Flame Mother does make me think of a phoenix, thus I do think there is a strong chance she can and has died and come back. What is left open is how. Synth copies via a record of her mind is possible. Another could be clones similar to Gary but without degeneration. My current wild headcannon is thinking about the Vita-Chambers from Bioshock. Where maybe her personal specialty was not in power about quantum physics, and creates a fresh copy of her body when she dies.
Oh she’s definitely a synth. They hung Chekhov gun on the wall with the ghouls response to seeing her and the only way she’s in that state now is cryo (likely a different reveal, like the ghouls wife) or a synth.
I had this same theory after watching the series, and makes me wonder if the TV show will create openings for future Fallout projects, such as allowing for Institute technology to have survived post FO4, especially since the presence of the Prydwyn suggests that the Institute was destroyed at the conclusion of that story. It stands to reason that Williams’ synths, assuming that multiple were made, would develop unique character traits over time, so the next Moldaver may not refer to themselves as such, perhaps aiding other Wasteland factions with the goal of rebuilding a viable civilization while also thwarting Vault-Tec. To this end, I would like to think that one of the Williams synths convinced members of the Institute to leave with the knowledge and technology to continue synth research and manufacturing prior to its destruction in the Commonwealth. In a separate note, I am curious as To what would happen if the cold fusion reactor were paired with a GECK, since I have a memory that the GECK also used a miniature CF reactor to restore land to a pristine condition. Imagine if one were connected to a full scale facility.

I agree that she's almost certainly a synth, but I suspect that it's more a case that Ms. Williams ended up joining the CIT, and that's how her noggin got scanned so she could carry on her work. I also suspect that she's going to be part of a plot that shows that part of the Institute survived the end of Fallout 4.
I also think her being synth is likely. It makes sense with all the lore we know about her, and it would serve as a good way to tie the Institute to the tv series without being an out-of-place ass-pull. I never considered the possibility of MULTIPLE Moldavers, but that would enable her to complete her goals in her vision.
This theorie has a big problem why Moldewa don't tell the members of the institute not about cold fusion. In a Institute Terminal some of the scientist say why the don't research for cold fusion but Doctor Lee from fallout 4 just say this is only a wish which means she don't think it is possible . Ha, neeerd. Of course they don't bleed ketchup, lol, but you are correct. Every part of a gen 3 synth is synthetic/artificially made, hence why they don't age or need to eat, etc etc. I too, took great lenghts exploring the Institute. 🤣
Gaaaary...
She isn't a synth. Sorry, that's the dumbest theory. Synths are an exclusively east coast thing.
The Prydwen showing up means the Brotherhood or Minuteman ending of FO4 is canon. And season 2 will have to decide on a canon ending for New Vegas (my guess is Yes Man).
Have we had confirmation it is THE Prydwen, or could it be another airship built on the same design?
Nope, there are at least two brotherhood airships. One of the guys on prydwen mentions it in a dialogue
@@folcotook3049 you can actually see the word Prydwen on the show.
@@JamesDatWork Thx. I'd missed that and hadn't heard it up to now. Good to know.
It makes more sense that she had a cryo pod over being a synth who the fuxk are you kidding???
