    I have been looking for this Kenwood subwoofer over the years because of the unique shape and it was manufactured in 1994-95. This is made in Singapore Kenwood clear shinny black finished. Didn't know there is a made in Malaysia that is gray or charcoaled finished. The made of Japan electronics on those times are quite expensive and well built. On those times, this is an expensive accessories for my Kenwood mini-component. Those are the last era where the components are in one box not the modular in the 70's and early 80's. So I didn't buy the subwoofer because I am contented of the 3 way speakers. Anyways, I have the privilege to see how this was restored. If the shipment is not expensive. I will buy this one now. Thank you so much !!!. I appreciate what you do.

You always take your time and make sure the components are disconnected. There can be false readings when you check them still attached to the circuit board.

    this was considered a very good budget subwoofer back in the day, it didn't produce a lot of output but due to it's design, had a very good low frequency response and looked pretty cool and output good base in almost any part of the room. I have never seen an SW-05 but I have seen an SW-500 which is the replacement for this in the mid to late 90s which was very similar in desgn.

    Смените полярность подключения динамика, это видно по пакетику, который засасывает в сабвуфер. У любого низкочастотного динамика ход диффузора наружу больше, чем внутрь. Именно из-за неправильной полярности питания динамика у вас стучит звуковая катушка, и идет искажение звука

    • @borincod
      @borincod Рік тому +1

      каким конкретно образом поляроность подключения динамика влияет на пакетик?

    • @ИзделияИзКожи
      @ИзделияИзКожи Рік тому +3

      @@borincod при прямой полярности (плюс к плюсу, и минус к минусу) диффузор ходит наружу. При обратной внутрь, из-за этого на большой громкости может начать стучать катушка об торец сердечника магнитной системы. Если динамик не нагружать, то стучать не будет. В некоторых компановках короба сабвуфера допускается обратная полярность, но точно не для четверть волнового.

    • @ИзделияИзКожи
      @ИзделияИзКожи Рік тому +2

      @@borincod именно поэтому и пакетик втягивает внутрь порта сабвуфера. При прямой полярности он должен колебаться на входе в порт, и если его отпустить, он должен зависнуть, либо его вытолкнет наружу.

    • @borincod
      @borincod Рік тому

      @@ИзделияИзКожи всё-таки ваш ответ неясен... Если бы сабвуфер постоянно засасывал воздух, а вместе с ним и пакетики, то он бы неминуемо лопнул через некоторое время. Если же сабвуфер будет постоянно воздух выдувать, то в какой-то момент воздуха внутри коробки не останется вовсе... там был бы ваакуум. Согласны?

    • @ИзделияИзКожи
      @ИзделияИзКожи Рік тому +2

      @@borincod не согласен. Во-первых он не засасывает постоянно, ведь динамик совершает колебательные движения(возвратно-поступательные). Просто при положительном значении синус-сигнала динамик работает в одну сторону больше, чем в обратную, поэтому при обратной полярности диффузор больше ходит внутрь корзины, и из-за этого и создаётся эффект засасывания пакетика в порт сабвуфера. Простыми словами пакетик будет зависать как и при прямой полярности, но глубже в порте, а т.к. его держат вне порта, то он стремится в него попасть. При прямой полярности этот пакетик, если его отпустить будет зависать и колебаться прям на входе в порт

    I bought the Dayton SUB-1200 12" 120W it's already plenty to get the cops called. My living room isn't very big so it doesn't take a lot to really get things rumbling. Alongside a Polk Monitor II based surround setup it's a very natural fit to the space. My Onkyo receiver isn't the cheapest model but it's pretty modest and the sub helped a lot with running the power hungry Polks. I used to run a separate amp for my front pair but no longer need to. My home theater isn't my main Hi-Fi setup and bangs hard enough from the receiver. The Dayton is a really great value just because it's cheap and doesn't suck. More serious subs are better but it gives you most of the experience for not a lot of money.

I can turn it up loud enough to shake the house and generally run it set very low in power. My home theater sounds great and the bass is plenty loud enough. Moves and music sound excellent.

    Hit the Phase Button to "Norm", you have it on "Rev". Basically, the woofer is moving in the Reverse motion. Switch it to Normal to push the air out!

      doesn't matter much, mainly matters when combined with other speakers that play bass or other subs, but not when playing alone because subwoofers are AC, not DC, so they push both in and out, regardless of phase settings
