Great rig. But a way i to save a bit of money is to buy 3 mm pipes instead of the ones made for riging. And just cut to size

These two words aren't supposed to be together because this camera's out-of-the-box video quality is limited by the manufacturers. It's a photo line camera, not a cinema line camera designed for professional filmmaking. Cinema cameras typically boast larger sensors, higher resolution, and advanced recording capabilities like RAW or ProRes formats.
But with Magic Lantern's Crop Mode. This OS upgrade can enhance your EOS M camera's video capabilities, offering features commonly used in filmmaking. However, it still falls short of being a true cinema camera. Nonetheless, it can significantly improve video quality and flexibility in your filmmaking.
Congratulations! Your EOS M camera now has enhanced video recording capabilities like those found in cinema cameras.
We've dubbed it a budget cinema camera due to the features ML Crop Mode provides, mirroring those of higher-end cinema cameras. Why? Think of it like comparing a budget gaming setup to a high-end one; they may differ in performance, but they both serve the same function. So, you can still create and practice your craft until you decide to upgrade.

in my experience adding a monitor to the magic lantern workflow leads to more headache, would you mind sharing which build and mode you shoot with?
I shot with crop mood may 2023 version, and recently downloaded the feb 2024 version. They both work fine with the default settings! Just make sure to use 1080p hdmi cables since it didn’t work on my 4k ones😅

Cameras are merely tools for producing cinematic films. “Cinema” is diverse, and there isn’t a specific standard on what equipment to use to produce a good film. That’s why I included “Affordable” in the title since not anyone can afford high end cameras and gears just to make movies. And also, creators also called this a cinema camera for its capabilities, you can check it up.
Man, I don't want to discuss more and make a super long discussion, simply cinema cameras are different than video/photo cameras, like cinema lenses and video/photo lenses. If for you the word "affordable" near an every "camera" thing make it cinematic, well it's up to you.@@filmedbyMakarios
