Just had a question about the Ninja V and the sony zv-e10, are you able to record in raw using the monitor or only in rec. 709? or be able to record in slog using the monitor?
So the zve10 cannot export raw video to the ninja V. That feature is reserved for their cinema line as far as i know. It’s restricted by the micro hdmi. You can record in ProRes as far as I’m aware, and I typically use HLG so you could probably use slog 2 or 3 (i wouldn’t recommend slog 3 with the zve10 though, not enough bit depth for it)
@@yahirsfilms No not specifically for the ZVE-10, I used it in my first rig video mainly because I had it and its so over the top. my 2 recommendations would be by portkeys. either the pt5-ii as a great budget monitor. or the LH5P-ii which can remotely control your cameras settings over wifi
Not within a $500 budget for the entire rig no. The large rig I did for the zve10 and a6700 both have good nd options. My favorites are the freewell mist VND set
@@thomasjmcclure Not having a ND filter will lead you to get you some issue for the correct expose in different scenario. Isn't it. Maybe in a "real ready to use camera rig" a cheap ND could be the answer?... I saw the video about the a6700, good choise I belive, but the cost way more than an variable aperture ND filter
Well aware yes. As i said, my primary recommendation is the freewell VND filters. About $100 a piece. The mattbox system mentioned in the a6700 rig is more expensive than the thread on filters yes, but not as expensive as other full matte box systems. And it is also a variable system by the way
you could yeah, I know smallrig, ulanzi and tilta all make little fans that could be stuck on the back to help with overheating problems if you face them. I havent needed them but it depends on how you use the camera
why dont the camera manufacturer start producing camera body with attachment capability ? it will be cheaper when done in bulk and directly integrated with the body...
Aaaahh, but DO I shoot fast moving trains? Nope lol. I’m assuming you’re talking about rolling shutter? It’s not great yeah, gotta learn how to work around it if this is your only camera. If I’m doing fast pace stuff (or professional work in general) I’m not using this camera

Should work, the only thing is if the lens would be too small to have space for the matte box, but yeah!
Ok thanks T! was trying to find you on IG but to no avail. and there's no handles on your channel. are u on any other social platforms?@@thomasjmcclure
I also built a cinema rig, how can I share a pic of it on this channel
Just had a question about the Ninja V and the sony zv-e10, are you able to record in raw using the monitor or only in rec. 709? or be able to record in slog using the monitor?
So the zve10 cannot export raw video to the ninja V. That feature is reserved for their cinema line as far as i know. It’s restricted by the micro hdmi.
You can record in ProRes as far as I’m aware, and I typically use HLG so you could probably use slog 2 or 3 (i wouldn’t recommend slog 3 with the zve10 though, not enough bit depth for it)
@@thomasjmcclure Would you recommend still buying the ninja V for the Sony zv-e10 to record ? also, your videos been really helpful .🤝💯
@@yahirsfilms No not specifically for the ZVE-10, I used it in my first rig video mainly because I had it and its so over the top. my 2 recommendations would be by portkeys. either the pt5-ii as a great budget monitor. or the LH5P-ii which can remotely control your cameras settings over wifi
does the v mount battery power the monitor, camera, or both
Both
No ND filter on the matte box or on the lens?
And it is also a variable system by the way
what is adapter filter name?
Awesome
What Len??
How do you add a fan when you have a 95s mount
You’d just have to play around with the spacing between the battery plate and the camera to make space for it
Do you have one for the 6700?
Not a budget version, but I can make one! And the a6700 would work in this rig in theory
hey bro what lense is on the camera ??
Sigma 16mm f1.4
Thanks
Enjoyed.
Help please or anyone in the comment do you know if the Sony EVF FDA_EV1MK wors with the sony zv e10? Thanks for your help
how is the batterie life on that
Iook's decent, I'd add a fan to that ?
you could yeah, I know smallrig, ulanzi and tilta all make little fans that could be stuck on the back to help with overheating problems if you face them. I havent needed them but it depends on how you use the camera
That’s was a strong concern of mine. I’m using my zv ev10 for short films
why dont the camera manufacturer start producing camera body with attachment capability ?
it will be cheaper when done in bulk and directly integrated with the body...
and here we are now. noice.
Yeah but can you shoot video of a fast moving train?
Aaaahh, but DO I shoot fast moving trains? Nope lol. I’m assuming you’re talking about rolling shutter? It’s not great yeah, gotta learn how to work around it if this is your only camera. If I’m doing fast pace stuff (or professional work in general) I’m not using this camera
Cool video, but wow this yellow tint is hard to sit thru. Second video like this.
Awesome😊
