    I’ve had the exact same model since September 2022. My experience has been very similar. No issues whatsoever, and I still look forward to driving it every day. On average, I drive 1500 miles per month, and am spending about $40 in electric. I couldn’t be happier with the car.

      Ah my biggest problem was that I could not charge the car at home, and I did not have the time to sit each day and charge the car for 1-2 hours (Mini cooper SE) Might go back if I move soon to a house again, so I can charge at home.

      Just bought a 23 Gt p. I’m about 2k miles a month. Curious to see how it goes. 220 miles tomorrow mostly highway. Hopefully make it back home without a charging stop.

    Great review! I am a 2022 Mach-E Premium owner and I'm currently driving the vehicle in cold and snowy conditions. The car handles amazing well and the cabin heats up super fast! There is a bit of range loss, but not an issue at all for me to travel to and from work. Overall, loving the EV!

    I have owned a 2021 Nissan Leaf e+ now for 7 months. My job is delivering courtesy cars for various insurance companies in the uk. We supply models from a wide variety of manufacturers in the UK from the Vauxhal Corsa to Bentley's, though i have not delivered one if these yet. Even with what i drive at work, I have not yet driven one car i would say i would change my Leaf for. Except the Tesla. And i have driven BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes etc

      I watch a lot of UA-cam videos about electric cars, and have for years. I can't count how many Leaf owners have expressed similarly positive feelings about the car. They all just seem to love it.
      And it's especially true in Britain. (I think perhaps the climate is better suited for it, so the range holds up better.)
      By the same token, almost every video I've seen recently about the Mach-e gets a lot of responses from Mach-e owners raving about the vehicle and how much they like it.

    The problem with brakes on ev is not that they wear, its that they rust into place and get stuck cause they hardly are used. So a good thing to "grease" them up if you drive in salty enviroments once a year

    Way more reliable than your Cherokee huh! No EV for us yet, gotta get our 2020 Cherokee paid off and we’re looking hard at a home solar system too. Here in Oregon we have “net metering” so our electric bill should go to zero, but I’m still crunching numbers on it all.

Not really that much for a truck these days, but still. Jeep 4xe? EV space is changing fast, but home solar is looking better these days and would prep us for an EV too.

    I’m currently driving an Escape Hybrid but looking at a Mach-E now that prices have gone down from “yikes” to “merely painful” but I live in a condominium with underground parking and currently no charging facilities on site.
    Aside from the issue of the OTA updates (since the car will be underground on the second level down and the cellular service is not great, would it make sense to look into a Mach-E at this point or am I better off waiting until either the charging situation at home changes or more fast public charging stations are available?

    • @CarGuy11
      @CarGuy11  7 місяців тому +2

      Thanks for the question. Honestly I wouldn’t recommend an EV to anyone that can’t charge at home. Yes you may be able to find public fast charging but the cost will likely be similar to gas. Now if you had free charging at work I would consider it.

    The switch to EVs is happening faster than many realize. I owned Ford products on the 1980's and 1990's, but lost faith in them.
    Farley's hot and cold EV leadership is not encouraging. He is more worried about FMC stock prices now versus FMC surviving the next decade.

      When you buy tech, it always goes down in value quick. Before EVs were much of a thing, most people knew they lost 20% of their vehicle value in the first year. Many would only buy a three year old vehicle because a big chunk of depreciation happened in those first three years.
      Leasing an EV right now is the right choice for many. I am happy I bought my Model 3 and the $5,500 in local and state rebates has helped watching the value of my vehicle drop them be less painful.
