I held off on getting the 1155 plates due to many recommending spending more on 1165 or other brands of plates that are lighter than the 1155. I picked up 1165 on sale earlier this summer.
The guy’s inside of his left arm might have gotten some ceramic fragments from when the M88 green tip blew out the left side. Hope he had tourniquets ready. 😬

Safelife fras body armor is rifle rated 11x14 is only 5.3 lbs. It's 600 dollars .they sell a 10x12 also ,it weighs 3.9 lbs and cost 500 dollars. I think this is better. As far as weight and stoppage . Price is steep though IMO.
Very cool... though, when you can buy a 5.29lb plate from LAPG rated at Level III that meets Level IV standards (as you tested), why go for something heavier?
According to videos of people testing "knockdown power" whilst wearing armor A shot from an FAL would barely move you even if you stood on one foot That being said, the test was with a full armor carrier as plate carriers weren't really a thing at the time.
Don’t take this as any sort of advice, but we took a III soft vest that was 15 years past expiration and mag dumped 3 mags of .40 s&w into it. One of the last five round penetrated, it stopped 40 rounds at least before that.
Keep them. There is no "expiration date" for armor. It is a warranty period designed to minimize liability for the manufacturer. If you take reasonable care of it, armor will last many years, even decades beyond its official date.
Are you kidding me, I clicked the link from the nightly email and this comes up with an ad for Cameltoe Harris. How completely tone deaf is UA-cam?! No one watching this video is going to donate to Clamela and her anti-2a campaign. Ridiculous!
This is stupid - You know they test them so why do this bs ? Just to post another video to get paid by the products sponsor lol , seven shots is what they are listed at so why shoot it twenty plus times ....lame
IDK… Maybe because he has a large following and wants to test one to show the average person that they can be confident in their purchase? And help people make a decision on some products they are interested in? It’s almost like he has a UA-cam channel that’s guns AND gear….. who knew 😅
idk man. for *any* armor to market at a specified rating, it should have passed a test. yet armors are being sold as '3a' when they can't even stop a single 9 mm and are packed more with air and foam than actual armor. when it comes to anatomical protection, I would like to see that it passed the test, not just take their word for it. not like you can sue them later if it doesn't meet standards. not going to name names, but if you do your research via videos like this, then you know.

Dragonfly on the high speed during the pistol round dump is traumatized.
that was super rad to watch. although i'm sure everything happens in slo-mo to those, so it was like hmmmmmmmmmm zipzoop

Exactly where i was headed.
I’d argue that you would be everything other than “perfectly fine”
30-06 AP and 308 aren't playing around; more like 'still alive for the moment'.
I replaced my AR550 plates with the 1155's. The weight difference was noticeable, but still heavy.
What’s light lmao
@@m.c.ballyhoo1494 Def not 17lbs ceramic
I love RMA , plus they have good sales.
Almost bought these a couple weeks ago, but I was waiting to see the definite test. Ended up getting the heavier plates

Their customer service is exceptional too. UPS damaged my plates and they replaced them without hassle.
What the hell did they do blow them up?
@JustSleighter threw the box down every flight of stairs in sight? Idk but the plates were chipped on the corners, and the box was wrecked.
This is unbelievably impressive. I am a new fan for sure, especially the price. Steel plates are around that same price point. Good stuff!
Own a set, tested a third plate multiple distances unless you are in the hot zone this is the best deal
Thank you for your service and the content you release!
Great show, great review.
Thank you, sir.
See you need some bungee cords to hold that plate to the torso :D
Thanks for taking the initiative to put the ballistics dummy behind the plate
Impressive, looks like this ceramic can play the part!
The radiologist said I was "perfectly fine", meaning that I just had a broken rib. 😂
😁
Awesome video I like all the selection used on this video nice
That dragonfly was sent by Travis Haley to do surveillance on your channel lol
11:49 DARPA Dragonfly, lol

Awesome, gunsngear armor test !!
Once again RMA holding the standard for Budget armor

It's great to see armor that doesn't compromise on protection while being easy to wear.
Agreed
Impressive

thanks; still cheaper at the link on my social media that I posted today 😎

Not sure why MugClub is still promoting Hodge Twins. They haven't appeared on the channel in months.
It's 2 pounds heavier than the lightest Dayton armor level 4, but it is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Can you test some of the Agilite plates? I have heard really good things but I cannot find any testing from individuals, like you.
They are Hesco rebranded plates..
@@BuffRANGE Are they? I didn't know that.
@@terrarecon Unless they've changed vendors, last I checked their plates were Hesco..
I could probably afford a set of once or twice shot plates, you've proved they got more shots left in them lol.
How about testing some Dayton body armor
Why is Mr gg so funny here.
Dragonfly danger close!
Photo bomb by a dragonfly. Some consider them good luck.
Very cool... though, when you can buy a 5.29lb plate from LAPG rated at Level III that meets Level IV standards (as you tested), why go for something heavier?
you tested those 3s to a proper standard or just redneck tested it ?
A more robust strike face and backer...
Some people would rather have American Made. LAPG gets their armor from overseas.
I wanna watch that video after this one thanks
I believe LAPG strike face is not true 10x12, more like 9x11 due to foam rubber edge. Hence lighter weight.
More dragonfly content!
Nice
Where do you get those black tip rounds from

3:20 i have that same plate carrier
What do you think of a 10.3 with an RC2 mini?
Not gonna die because the plates stopped but die from broken ribs or internal bleeding adds to shopping cart
Backforce deformation....ouch! Use a trauma pad...maybe two.
M995 when and 6.8x51 AP when?
dont know if youd be "fine" after taking a hit from m80 in the plates but better than without.

I heard RMA does background checks for body armor purchases. Is that true?
They do not..
False

Why not just drop the money on grade 5 12 x 12 in. 0.025 Titanium plates and you never have to revist this subject again js 🤔🙄
Probably want to move to at least 1/8th inch, also going to need a coating for spalling
Not everyone has the $ for titanium. He has a big broad audience and this applies to the majority.
there's other ways titanium can be defeated, and they're like 8x the price, or something like that.
