Upset at the lack of SPARKs :P Shens last gift is a great dlc. I'm not quite sure how to feel about the "integrated" DLC option, it removes the dedicated intro missions for both the sparks and alien rulers and moves things around quite a bit. If you ever plan to replay the game, the instant death attachments also work with the ones that give 1/2/3 damage on a missed shot.
i should of at least given them a chance but i remember on one playthrough using them once and hated how bad they were. Im sure i wasn't using it correctly so maybe in the future, i will give them a chance to shine
Luck is a part of most human contests; so using rng to arrive at the result of a battle is, in my opinion, the best way to achieve something close to reality. I do on occasion replay a mission to see if a different strategy performs better. I have spent more than 2000 hours, according to steam (I don't know if that includes walk away time), and very rarely experience crashes. Most turned out to be mod issues. I would suggest checking that video drivers are up to date. I did enjoy your video very much. You did a terrific job of condensing a campaign into a reasonable time period.
I should definitely get around to playing this because I enjoyed Mario vs Rabbids (it’s really weird and a lot of fun. I should get around to playing the sequel since I own it) and Gears Tactics (Gears Tactics is a blast, but it doesn’t have nearly enough content to justify buying the thing at full price. Get it for a big Steam sale, or just play it through GamePass. Since the game has a linear story with side missions there isn’t much replayability. It’s too bad the game lacks multiplayer, a map/level editor, and mod support. All three of those things would’ve kept people coming back. Let’s hope we get a part 2 electric boogaloo. Unfortunately, that might not happen since Microsoft isn’t doing much with the ip. You’d think we’d get an MCC style collection to bring in new and old fans to build up for the 6th game. I’m assuming the 6th game is currently in development hell for the same reasons Infinite was). I have it in my Steam Library and just need to get around to playing it. I’m confident I’d hate how the rng can screw you over. I like how since there’s so many variables at play it changes up how the game is played. It’s kind of like how everyone who plays Dwarf Fortress will have a different “story” play out. I really hope that Xcom 3 is good. I’m sure they’ll take cues from Chimera Squad and the other spinoffs where you’re fighting alongside aliens since humans won. It seems like the enemy will be a mix of the Terror from the Deep and Xcom Apocalypse enemies. That will be interesting to see. It’s really too bad that we didn’t get Xcom Genesis or Alliance. Both games looked super cool. This might sound weird, but I’ll say it anyways. I’d LOVE to see Xcom styled games for Halo, Killzone, Resistance Fall of Man, Fallout, and Half-Life. If you want I can delve into my schitzo ideas for how those could work. The things would basically design themselves. I’m well aware that some of these sound really weird. What kinds of games would you like to see get Xcom style spinoffs?
I want you to know that I watch this video nightly as background noise to fall asleep to. So enjoy the view time and hopefully it boosts your video up. PS:What video are you working on!
I'm sure someone's told you at this point, but just in case someone else sees this and thinks the same thing: You can manually end a turn(even if you have actions remaining like the chosen elevator thing) by pressing [END]. At least with default keybinds. So you didn't have to reload a save, you could have just pressed that key and skipped to the next turn.
@@ShadoSpartan44 Not sure if sarcasm or not but if not then you're welcome! =p It took me a while to figure out and just figured like, if someone else happens to see this who also doesn't know, could save them some headache.
@@Slywyn seriously i thought it was an oversight on firaxis, i always would make that mistake. really thank you, and i'm sure there's others out there who also didn't know that

@@ShadoSpartan44 they do kinda suck in vanilla but in wotc they're godly due to the skills they can learn.
Reaper with Banish, extended magazine, and the instant kill upgrade can 1shot anything it's so stupid broken I had to use a mod to nerf it.
Really nice video. Well edited and you do a great job overviewing a game that has been my favorite for a long time!
thanks man, i put a lot of work into it
You can hit the end bottom on the keyboard to end you turn.

The team going all in on the sectoid is hilarious!

Mox is like the coolest dude ever tbh.
Try Long War. Then you will just hate it.
Until you will succeed eventually. Then you will love it to death :)

Great video 👍 Have you ever played the original XCOM or TFTD? They are great especially with mods
