This was extremely helpful! Why did you decide to just cut a square out of the bottom of the trash can, but not the whole bottom off? Was your thought to keep the bottom sides of the diaper in? Thanks!
This is awesome! I have a spraypal but I rarely use it as I learned to spray without it first and just don't find it to be all that useful for me, I kinda want to make these just to see how I like it!
Jessica, let me know if you end up making something! I figured if this didn't work for me worst case scenario we would only be out $3! I am SO happy I made this because now I don't dread poopy diapers AS much! ;)
You're absolutely not spraying the diapers with toilet water. Just because it's hooked up to your toilet supply line doesn't mean you're using toilet water. You are using fresh water. The diaper sprayer is simply sharing the same water supply line along with the toilet.
Great idea! I wonder if there's something that could be glued to the side for legs to hold it in place like the SprayMate. I love that feature! I'm thinking maybe some of the big hooks that go on the wall, only upside-down. This is awesome either way. I'm on a tight budget too. LOL
Very good video! Great info! Your $3 spray shield is just as good as the high dollar ones you can buy for a lot more money. Keep those videos coming, MamaRebbyO! Love your channel! Maybe we can do a video collab soon.
My brother sawed off the bottom of a little trash can for me and I did the same thing and it was so helpful especially when I didn't have a sprayer yet and I was just pouring water on them with a cup
Yesenia Contreras YES! We are in an apartment now and can’t install a sprayer but still use the DIY shield with a cup/pouring system and it is so helpful!
This is what I was going to do but I'm thinking about just holding my shield inside of another trash can with the bottom in it, and using my shower head hose to spray, the trash can will catch and i can dump into the toilet, rinse it and dump it again then disinfect. ( shower hose won't stretch to the toilet)
Also i seen someone suggest using a peri bottle from the hospital that you use to spray your bits while you pee after childbirth. Ive lost mine but I'm thinking about also trying a big cleaned out ketchup/condiment bottle to spray with. 🤷🏻 I'll update once I try both methods lol
Skip to 7:00 to get the actual DIY.
Outlandish McCandlish not much of a DIY, pretty self explanatory.. I actually liked the beginning 7 minutes for some back story and comparisons 💩😊
THANK YOU
Thank u this help me lot
Such a smart idea....very helpful thankyou

That's a dope dog.
wow. this is so helpfull i was giving up on clothdiapering becaise of the spraying off the poops😂 but this is going to help a lot
Why did you only cut a square out the bottom? Water will get trapped.

Carrie Bostic did you end up trying this out? I’m interested to hear any modifications you made!

Yes, I'd love that!
SO helpful, thank you!!
I was wondering what brand sprayer you use? I am coming upon the time to buy a sprayer for our LO.
I was wondering why 50$ was a thing for this??! 3$ you just put them out of business lol.
Awesome!
Good job! Thanks for sharing. the spray pal looks great but should be $5-10 not $25. Off to the Dollar store
Hi! What gallon size did you get? I can’t go out and peruse the dollar store right now :)
If you look closely, you'll see she bought a 10 gallon wastebasket.

Love this video but the part when you cut with the knife made me cringe! lol!
