    This was extremely helpful! Why did you decide to just cut a square out of the bottom of the trash can, but not the whole bottom off? Was your thought to keep the bottom sides of the diaper in? Thanks!

    You're absolutely not spraying the diapers with toilet water. Just because it's hooked up to your toilet supply line doesn't mean you're using toilet water. You are using fresh water. The diaper sprayer is simply sharing the same water supply line along with the toilet.

    As a person who has worked in a daycare for 5 years best solution for the poops on cloth diapers are liners inserts. (I've changed every single cloth diapers you can think of) I believe all the liners inserts are biodegradable and you just flush with the poop down the toilet. They come in a roll with at least a months worth (100 ct) Hope this helps.

    • @janinedear-barlow
      @janinedear-barlow 4 роки тому

      They aren't and the block toilets. If you put them in the wash they don't dissolve.

    • @jesystar
      @jesystar 4 роки тому

      @@janinedear-barlowThat is what they claim to do, disolve in toilet. Maybe the water pressure where you are from is not as strong and that could be the reason they do clog it. But the point is liners help tremendously for sticky poop and if you want you can throw it away in the trash and the liners will eventually disolve unlike diapers that just stay on landfills for so many years.

    • @janinedear-barlow
      @janinedear-barlow 4 роки тому

      MamaRebbyO I have to admit is been sometime but cloth diapering is like cooking if we stick with the basics is much easier than you think. I'm always forgetful so I used to keep Diapers, some wipes a change of clothing in the car, just in case I have to grab the baby and run. As for wipe I just put a few cloth wipes in a ziploc bag and add water .

    • @mamarebbyo5540
      @mamarebbyo5540 6 років тому

      sheshe7 j sounds like we are using very similar methods here cloth diapers and cloth wipes I’m just spraying mine as I go and omitting the zippy bag. Things have changed quite a bit for me since this video, my son is older so I find the extra set of clothes has been bumped and my diaper bag is a giant purse. Will be interesting to see how things change even further once my next LO is here! Thanks for watching! 😊

    • @kellie5138
      @kellie5138 4 роки тому

      This is what I was going to do but I'm thinking about just holding my shield inside of another trash can with the bottom in it, and using my shower head hose to spray, the trash can will catch and i can dump into the toilet, rinse it and dump it again then disinfect. ( shower hose won't stretch to the toilet)

      Also i seen someone suggest using a peri bottle from the hospital that you use to spray your bits while you pee after childbirth. Ive lost mine but I'm thinking about also trying a big cleaned out ketchup/condiment bottle to spray with. 🤷🏻 I'll update once I try both methods lol

    Great idea! I wonder if there's something that could be glued to the side for legs to hold it in place like the SprayMate. I love that feature! I'm thinking maybe some of the big hooks that go on the wall, only upside-down. This is awesome either way. I'm on a tight budget too. LOL

    I use 2 buckets as a spray protector. I cut the bottom out of one bucket. That one goes in the toilet and I use big clothes pins to attach my diaper or insert. Once done I spray the bucket without the bottom and put in in the other bucket to catch the water running off.

    It's super natural to nurse babies to sleep, nothing more natural than that. My youngest is 14 months and I still nurse him almost to sleep most nights. He is in his crib and own room but that's just because that's work works best for us to get the most sleep. If it's working for you I wouldn't feel like you need to change anything. They all eventually sleep through the night and in their own beds, no need to rush things before either of you are ready!
