Whew... so I stopped playing after OW2 launched, got back in this week and it's so different. What's the '3CP' mode? How do I unlock the new heros? All the reworks and new heros and maps are a bit overwhelming. Just venting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
An Additional question for Genji deflect then. Can genji deflect when shot from behind if he is suzued? Considering its a seperate hitbox from genji when he gets faded.

Something funny about Echo's duplicate is that you can get other character's achievements while copying another hero. I earned roadhog's hook achievement like that, but might've been changed since then.

Can confirm, my brother got an achievement like this just last night.
One time in Mystery Heroes I was able to Tac Visor through two Bap windows. I didn't time it and calculate the DPS or anything, but the red people died!
0:35 Missed the mark a bit on this one. Look carefully as they're walking up to the wall. They ALL get the immortality effect as they are approaching it, but when they reach the wall itself, it goes away. Being that close to the wall is breaking LoS to the drone (Sigma being an exception, because enough of his hitbox is still visible, even while against the wall). Standing back a few steps would mean that you'd still get the effect - even on Torb.
Does immorts hitbox reach full height upon activation? I can't test it but my guess is the hitbox follows lamp itself hence them being "in" range as the lamp is lower, then when it reaches its full height, the hitbox moves higher up
sorry but that is because its not at full height yet. no los check on this ability
Fun fact, you can use Overrun in your own Cage Fight if you press shift immediately after pressing Q. You still get tethered and stay inside tho (although I swear I managed to run outside my own cage once but that was prior to the first Mauga nerfs).
I'm convinced people take "Cage Fight" literally. It's not a wall, it's a Barrier like Rein shield
it’s more like a see-through mei wall. you can’t exactly walk through rein shield.
It acts as a wall for 90% of the heros. If you aren’t on orisa or mauga ur trapped. Lifeweaver can pull one person.

Mauga's circle ult isn't a wall it's a shield, so there's no collision to begin with. Even if he wasn't chained, he would just slide through the wall.
little notice: whilst orisa overheat faster under kitsune rush, she also Cools down faster. i'm assuming its because its consider a reload.

Thought that Mauga burning affect not being cleansed by the medkit was odd after seeing it myself even if it's only a few ticks of damage

Learned the one where you can get stunned out of cage fight the hard way. Got doom punched out of it and was absolutely befuddled

Another neat thing about elevated cage fights I learned today, if someone tethered inside a Cage Fight steps over a ledge, and is being held off the ground by that Cage Fight, either over solid ground or over an edge, the chain will actually disconnect after a second or two and let the player fall. A pretty neat way to escape (either for Mauga or the enemy team) if it’s on a tall enough high ground, or for someone like a Pharah or Echo who could recover quickly when over a cliff.
Also If Mauga manags to drop his ult over a cliff or hole it will fall and drag everyone in. Saw a video of someone using this in conjunction with petal platform and life grip.

a lot of people seem to misunderstand Mauga's ultimate, it is not a wall, that's why theres no collision with doom punch or orisa spear. It's litterally just a shield like winton bubble, the chains are the only thing keeping you from leaving
The Orisa interaction with Punch, Bash and Charge is a bug I'd chalk up to old code.
When Orisa first lauched fortify would knock down a charging Rein, so I bet that line of code is still there and activates under the right conditions cause spaghetti.

Ah, the friendly Mauga cages cancelling each other makes sense I suppose, tho it's a bummer. Same thing happens if multiple Syms on the same team try to use their ults at the same time - it just overwrites to whoever has the latest wall up

As an echo player one of my coolest plays was duplicating a soldier and getting the soldier helix rocket double kill achievement. So you can get other hero achievements when using echo ult. Also you can play the new heroes for free ;)
A little note on the rail gun vs petal thing (you might have covered this already in a previous video but…) ram in nemesis from can punch through the petal like a he can with shields . Idk about tree of life though

I think I saw one worthy of testing. I'm not sure if I saw what I think I saw, but I saw it...Apparently, a friendly Orisa ult can pull people out of a friendly Mauga ult. So long as the targets are in the area where those two circles overlap. They are drawn to Orisa over the pull of the chains.
That chain thing happened to me today! I started dashing as the enemy Mauga started ulting. I think I hit the button a split second sooner, so I ran out of his ult. I thought it was a cast time issue and that I ran outside the cage before it fully took effect. Good to know for the future.

I think one thing people forget with the new legends ult is the wall isnt a solid object. it just blocks projectiles and acts as a visual indicator how of far the chains will let you go
but does jagged blade blade return does double when it FIRST pass through amp when thrown?

Genji cant deflect anything that comes from behind him
Also if you don’t know mauga’s overrun does headshot which means it gives overhealth
It not only lacks a bottom on cage fight, you can shoot through the top as well
I hate how Mauga’s Incendiary Chaingun is the only DoT in the game currently to not be cleansed by a health pack. It’s such an annoying inconsistency even if it normally doesn’t have any gameplay impact

A long time ago, I think I have this clip on my youtube channel, I was Orisa and clashed with a Doom. Even though I was fortified, he still punched and stunned me. Not sure if that can be thrown in with the clashing with Brig thing or not.

Echo doesnt make your other heroes maestry go up, BUT, you can get the heroes achivements with here, I got Winston's cute spray, by hitting every champ with his rage while transformed, just as I got Mei's cute spray by deflecting her ultimate with Genji's deflect.

I managed to crash a server twice with two teams running triple Mauga either near launch or in the early access.
5 cages went down and the server didn’t like it.
It happened again (because same teams) so on the 3rd map we had to agree to 1 mauga each.
Guess they changed it to one per team due to that

I have a clip of 3 maugas cagefighting crashing a ranked lobby. I hypothesize using 3cages during a high server stress moment can forcfully shut down lobbies
I’m curious to know how Rein charge affect Mauga charge. I got two different results when I attempted this with my friend. In one instance, Rein and Mauga hit each other and kept going. In the other, Mauga acted like a wall which stopped the Rein charge and Mauga kept going. We attempted this multiple times. Each of us could only replicate one of these instances which implies that it acts differently depending on the different players. Actually, maybe it depends on who charges first.

I originally thought Bap's Window simply transformed the projectile into "The base projectile but with x2 the original damage". So as a result I thought being damage boosted/passing through a second window would do absolutely nothing for it; it'd still do x2 the normal damage.

Can you break out of the cage fight hook like you can a roadhog hook: by walking around a wall. I got caught in a cage fight indoors, but walked through the enemy shield, which shouldn't be possible because I should of been hooked to the centre. All I can think is that I somehow dodged the hook by breaking it's line of sight at a pivotal moment.
7:14 you might’ve misunderstood the question. I believe that what wulfieonline475 was asking is if Mauga still does his ground slam animation inside an enemy Maugas cage, not if Mauga can run right through.

Nah, KarQ got my question right. But you raise a good point, what happens when the overrun's ground slam enters the cage fight? Is it still considered unstoppable?
Is there a limit to how long the chains can hook you inside of chain fight? Eg. Pharah inside the shield at max height. Or widow hooking through. And if there is a limit and you don't get hooked can you get through the other side of the shield?

A more thorough test of Cage Fight vs. Rocket Punch would've involved a FRIENDLY Doomfist punching any enemy inside a Cage Fight. Doom Punch will slide targets against angled surfaces without dealing the bonus damage or stun. The info can definitely be useful in Comp since Echo could dupe a Mauga or Doomfist to have both of them on a team at the same time.
I doubt it will, given how Orisa Javelin interacted with Cage Fight, but you never know. Doom is a pretty buggy hero.
Another misinterpretation is on Mauga's Overrun completing its animation inside an enemy Cage Fight. I think the poster meant the jump and slam portion of the ability, not just the running animation. I think it does still finish, but again, this is another case where being thorough is necessary.
It’s a shield not a wall. It would just hit them into the cage fight. Cool way to trap the enemy.

Does landing a Hook then having that hook broken from things like Suzu or even a wall still count towards hook accuracy? If so does it count as a missed or a accurate hook?

the javelin spin doesn't stun in cage cus it's a barrier and even though it stops you from moving out of it normal barrier rules apply meaning it doesn't act like a wall imagine if you good spear someone in to sym barrier it just wouldn't work

Do shots that hit a barrier such as Sigmas experimental barrier effect your weapon accuracy?
I don't know why Orisia gets knocked down, but it reminds me of a glitch I found by mistake on Temple of Anubis in a OW1-ranked game where you could charge an Orisia into the corner of the right staircase at the right angle when her Fortify was about to end, and it would actually push her far enough into the wall that your charge charged her into the opposite wall, forcing her inside a 1-way wall that you could shoot through as Orisia, and it was right next to the first point, so it was OP, but I only saw it happen once in a real-ranked game (that's when I found out about it and experimented on the bugged spot in a custom later). Its been a few years since I tested this but I think only like 3 people could go into the wall, that being Rein Orisia and maybe Ball, and for some reason I believe phar could also get stuck but she would die to the impact damage so it wouldnt happen in a real game unlike the Orisia bug that ACTUALLY happened in a real game and I was the one who charged her into the wall lol im sure I just said all this for no reason but it was funny enough of an event to say here I guess.
Now when winston`s tesla cannon isn´t affected by armor is it the old tip to melee against armor worse than not using melee because melee damage is still affected by armor?
The coliding with the wall thing... wouldn't it have to be YOUR teams shield for it to be a solid surface (to the enemy)? like how we can shoot through our team shields but they can't so colliding would be similar... I mean it probably still doesn't do the colliding damage but js :)
Does Zarya gain charge from bubbling a deflecting Genji (while he's being shot at and deflecting the damage)?
Iirc bubble has a larger hitbox so you gain energy and genji doesn't deflect anything
@@RobinClower from my experience sometime the bubble takes precedence, and sometimes the deflect does, I'm not sure what determines it but its weird

Recently Kiriko got a buff where her primary healing Ofuda(?) travels at a faster speed.
Does this mean they travel further, ie if I tracer or pharah were to go out of range after the “lock on”. Does it travel further than previously is the jist of my question.

In the roadhog dmg reduction myth. Was it not reduced? If you were standing in the inner ring of the explosion, dva bomb deals 1000dmg. With dmg reduction from vape you would take 700 which was what was shown. However 700 is exactly equal to roadhogs health, is it a limitation of the dmg counter that you cant deal more dmg than the amount of health you have or is it that it does reduce the dmg?
Does railgun charge dissipate if the Genji reflects the pellets and the reflected pellets hit a target?
Is Zen's discord orb cooldown also reset if the target is cleansed by suzu?
To charge Railgun Sorjourn needs to be the one landing the bullets. When deflecting, the attack ownership changes to Genji, which means those are no longer Sorjourn's bullets and she gets no charge.
And yes, discord is returned like when they cut los

The nano fortify fact is technically wrong
It does technicaly stack, it's just that the damage cap doesn't allow you to go above that 50%
Can a suzu'd genji deflect things coming from behind? Since projectiles pass through suzo'd targets it might pass through the genji and hit the deflect.
As a jq main this terrifies me
