rock is an object like symm's turret or sombra's translocator, it dealing damage on impact is its quirk shared by things like brig's bash and hog's hook

@@nezcron He’s another Japanese hero who can climb walls, and it turns out he’s Genji’s and Hanzo’s cousin who was always part of the story. He also has sorcery powers in the near future setting of Overwatch.
I think Pummel works as an extended melee, because Genji does not deflect the projectile and only stops the damage. It's the same with any melee abilties, but Accreation just bypasses the deflect and hits as normal.
Ramattra block being able to tank a fully charged deadeye is pretty huge. I like how his block is a much better block than Doom's because it has no cooldown
5:30 Block actually DOES reduce damage, but you need to be looking straight up! It works for Doomfist too. If you do so, you will reduce the impact damage of Sigma's Gravitic Flux.
Yup - added it to a future episode once someone told me you actually good in the comments somewhere here a month ago ua-cam.com/video/e-Erm0WRmmA/v-deo.html
Interesting... might try this one again then. In any case... ideally you wanna move out of the center anyway and try blocking forward cuz its safer and less risky - lokoed like I was sitting underneath the center and blocknig but still missed apparently
4:47 I think this is a case where design intention prioritizes consistency. The intent behind pummel is that it's damage that bypasses enemy tank defenses, so it's built to go through defense matrix. With Baptiste, it would feel disappointing and unintuitive to have these two abilities not synergize, so it's still a projectile for that interaction.
Ok but imagine in open queue,Ram for annihilation,Lucio for speed,Mercy to keep Ram alive,Ana for Nano and a Zen for discord orbs. Now that is truly terrifying

I'd like to see what happens when Ravenous Vortex is partially over a void. Do flying enemies caught in it over the void get pulled all the way down to their death, or just to ground level?
So, for funsies while we filmed the Ravenous Vortex stuff, we threw it over the edge. There's a lot more to the Vortex below it, too. Pharah gets yoinked down there, until she leaves the bottom hitbox. B.O.B. gets ripped down like a Looney Tunes character. It's great, but the grounded momentum stops basically at the same distance from the ground to the top.
Hey KarQ in your "3 tips for every Ramattra ability" video, you should include during Nemesis form using a melee is quicker to follow up a pummel than doing another pummel. This comes up a lot while fighting a 200 hp target since you only need 3 pummels and a melee instead of committing to 4 full pummels.
I made this video early in December 2022 and people taught me you could look up and block flux which I covered here: ua-cam.com/video/e-Erm0WRmmA/v-deo.html However, since Feb 7 (Season 3) this has been patched and you can no longer do it anymore anyways!
I enjoy your content, been watching a long time. Some times I think about how much easier it must be to make this content now with workshops and stuff than it must have been when you started.
Nano + Annihilation is very devastating. You can't cancel it, it's hard to kill nanod Ramattra and you take huge damage (remember he will also pummel you down, not only tickle you with Annihilation). I saw multiple teamwipes with this combo, even Transcendence doesn't really protect you from it, because it doesn't stop lmao so you can survive full Transcendence and still have your ult up. I think the only viable strategy to negate it is to use mobile heroes or Lucio Speedboost and leave the guy completely. He becomes raid boss with nano and pocket so good luck fighting him.
it does, but it doesnt cancel her ult, so it's as if she popped ult while grounded (which could lead to a hilarious interaction if the pharah gets pulled while she aims her ult at a downward angle and gets killed by her splash damage)
if you get to suzu everyone in there/your whole team then it should stop ramattra from connecting (or at least connect but cooldown like zenyatta's ult does)
@@crazyduckthing1210 It'd be enough for your teammates to gtfo if Ram is CC'd or if the duration remaining on his ult timer is low enough, so niche but a viable interaction to keep in mind.
so from what I understand there are two types of projectiles in ow, deflectable and eatable projectiles like sig primary fire, most projectiles, and misc projectiles like accretion and pummel, which cannot be eaten or deflected, but for the purposes of bap ult they are considered projectiles
@4:40 i want to say its kinda like sigmas rock, it does get amplified because it "passes" through the window unlike a constant beam like zarya, but it cannot be deflected/eaten
All forms of damage amplification stack as long as they're of different kind. Nano + Boost + discord + window stack Nano + nano or boosto + boost don't stack
Does Annihilation's counter pause based on whether it's doing damage? Since just tethering is apparently not enough, what makes the timer stop? I think you can test this with immortality field maybe
I think the timer stops whenever an ennemy is in the area of effect of annihilation (as long as it's not an invisible sombra, phase moira and i'm pretty sure same with reaper since those three don't count as players when they're in that state, like they don't even count to capture points for example)
Technically not by itself, as is does 40% current health, however if you emp a low hp target they'd likely have single-digit hp and you could sneeze on them for the kill
I believe that dvas and sigmas eating are barriers that remove projectiles but because they might be considered a barrier in the games code the punch goes through it even though its considered a projectile
I hate the projectile pummel logic. Consistency of abilities is extremely important in OW especially for newer players so that there are just a few rules they need to learn to understand pretty much all interactions. But inconsistencies like this make it so that every interaction becomes an exception.
just to note, Flats and Emongg have tested that a Mercy GA-ing completely upwards can go against the pull and gain altitude. Super slowly though so you'd most likely get shot to death before getting out of the vertical height
4:44 it also amplify hitscan iirc, so I think what it does is that it check your and the enemy's position (if your attack connect), and if it pass through the barrier, it's amplified
A interesting fact is pummel is technically a new damage type, it works exactly like a melee but gets boosted by baptiste like a hitscsn or projectile.
Yeah, enemies treat it like melee but your team like projectile. What's also very weird is how attacking invulnerable targets with his ult doesn't extend the duration (Zen transcendence). Zen isn't immune to crowd control, only for damage part. Why does it prevent Annihilation from attaching while it even shows connection? Looks like spaghetti code to me to be honest, some things may be patched
5:34 tried doing this with a mate after learning that if doomfist looks up and blocks in sig ult he takes reduced damage and charge first it’s the same for ramattra look up and you’ll take reduce damage from block and armour and when you get back into omnic form you lost 50 of your health if there team doesn’t light you up so it does work
The vortex looks like it applies a ceiling above it, or at least abilities are calculated as if this is the case at times. Sigma's Flux works exactly the same as if the player being lifted has hit a ceiling. On another note - using Flux with that vortext would allow for the high damage without giving vantage points for ults like high noon.
For blocking sigma’s slam with ramattra you have to be looking at the center of the aoe of the slam , so like look at the ground and the middle of sigma’s ult
To make mccrees ult more clear. High noon can only deal a max damage of the targets current hp which is why if you hold ult on a single shielding rein for the full 7 seconds you will never break that barrier in one shot unless you have damage multipliers where this rule is broken like bap wall doubling damage for (almost) any projectile going through it while things like mercy beam and nano just ramp it up faster. There’s also an interaction with damage reduction which I believe it just ignores in its calculations. But with ramattra block it seems like a special case since it’s only “damage from the front” so I’m guessing it’s a mini bap wall in front of him which anything that passes through that only deals 25% of its original damage.
