The Moira tip of moving forward while healing to increase your heal rate is similar to the Pharah trick where you can increase your rate of fire if you start shooting from way up high and then start dropping down while continuing to shoot.
The same tip for Sym and her TP. On 1st point Volskaya defense, you can set a TP from the choke back to the sniper perch behind point. Launch an orb from the sniper perch and then TP. Launch another orb after TPing, and both orbs will hit at the same time. Instant one shot.
Here's an obscure tip for Torb: Primary fire changes the Turret's lock on. Meaning that even if its busy with that Sig shield it's been shooting for 17 seconds and somehow still hasn't destroyed, if you hit somebody with a primary fire it'll immediately target that enemy if its in LOS. That's why it effectively one shots tracer if Torb lands a headshot on her despite only dealing 140 dmg
Another Obscure Sombra tip is that you can perfectly place your translocator right in the center of a torb turret and it will lock onto the translocator but can't won't shoot at it allowing for you to destroy the turret without taking any damage.
I got one for zen that some might not know, your secondary fire can’t be stopped once you release the first orb by anything other then dying, this mean you can charge 5 shots and instantly trans and the full volly will still go off, this works with other things too like a Cree stun or an earthshatter as long as you release that first orb they’ll all go off :)
Sometimes I like to charge all 5 orbs all the way and right before he releases them I press the melee button. If you time it just perfectly, this will cancel the actual orbs from being shot out, but Zen will still do the interesting animation with his hands as if he was shooting them. Not a very useful tip, I just find it kinda funny
There's a niche tip for torb, if you run out of ammo with your rivet gun you can still switch to your hammer and swing ~2.5 times while the rivet gun auto reloads so you can still get some dmg in if they're barrel-stuffing you.
4:55 I recommend using the "hold to fly" setting for Echo if you want to be able to momentum boost the most effectively. Just tapping whatever key bind you use for Flight will activate the ability for the shortest time possible.
THANK YOU!!! I do this Zarya tech EVERY time and every single time someone in the chat is like “Uhhh… How did our Zarya kill himself?? Are you throwing??” Mean while I’m just trying to make a micro play to deny the ult charge 😭
i try to do this with sigma too, your balls have a small knockback if you hit yourself with them. you can also do it with the rock if you have time or are already in the animation.
I saw a video a long time ago and learned that any character that can do self damage with knockback (soldier, zarya, sigma, pharah, bastion while ulting, and maybe even sym.. Idk about if she had knockback though) can do it. Since then, I've used it every time I get booped (which isn't uncommon in plat)
Bro same feeling but when you get a tactical reset by jumping off the map if the fight is lost to deny enemy ult charge. With microplays comes their cost...
The Moira one seems so painfully obvious now that I think about it, but yeah. I wonder if there's a similar principle to Mei's freeze as well? Will moving towards someone freeze them faster, and vice versa?
I think your right. When I play mei takes forever to freeze. But I was just standing there. Played against a mei and got frozen faster. With no ultimate. But she did run towards me. So I believe it does work like moira's healing.
@@NhemLee Thing is, if she was coming at you, that also increases your freeze-time. It doesn't matter who moves, if two targets get closer to each other, the frequency for both increases and vice versa. So if you move into someone and they move into you as well, that increases the effect even more.
Yes but at the same time now that is something you’d only want to maybe do on squishies to prevent them from moving faster, as with tanks you want to do the freeze double icicle combo which requires you to be at nearly max rang to capitalize on the travel time
@@TheThoerlChannel Which also highlights that same interaction on Moira will FURTHER increase the heal speed if your target moves directly towards you while you move towards them. Potentially life saving, actually. Now we know that if we really desperately need healing, we should continue trying to move towards our Moira (if possible) to heal just that little bit faster.
I felt like I couldn’t think of any techs for lucio while watching but then I remembered one. a tip or tech I use on Lucio is that since his fire rate is slow it’s super easy to cancel some of the latter projectiles with a melee. So when I’m challenging a Zarya, Dva, or Sig or another hero with damage blocking or absorbing abilities I will bait their abilities when I think they will use them by shooting and then meleeing to only put out one projectile before cancelling. Saves me ammo and also prevents zarya from getting charge
One obscure trick for Torbjorn: Backpack tanking Whenever you need to place a turret down in a hurry in the middle of combat (within an enemy's line of sight), you can shield it from poke damage during its setup with your body by turning 'away' from the attacker while deploying the turret in front of you and strafing slightly side to side, to hide your head hitbox behind your backpack, and tank any incoming fire for your 'baby,' either with or without overload active. This can protect it from being one shot while it's gaining health during its setup phase. You can even take turns tanking hits for your turret and letting your turret tank hits for you this way, to stall out a flanker. (Just make sure whatever attack you're tanking is survivable in the first place. :) ) This also works for making repairs, so call for heals, and give your gun some soft cover against light poke damage while you top off its health, rather than just standing behind it all the time and letting it be destroyed when the incoming damage exceeds your repairs. A word of warning, however; this trick won't work effectively if the enemy has a sharp enough angle on your position from overhead, or against moves that pierce, like Rein firestrike or Moira coalescence.
Karq again thank you so much for being one of the pillars of Support for the OW community. Although you are much more nuanced and complex then just OW you are such a commodity and resource for so many OW players I still suggest you to this day to any new players. You will always be one of the OW goat
Junkrat tip with symmetra’s teleporter. 9:00 : you can also put A concussion mine at the first teleporter and activate the mine and then teleport through the teleporter and you will gain height in the second teleporter with a ton of movement.
The Bap trick also works with Ana's bionade but on a different scale and super situational. I've only found use of it in bunker comps. Throwing the grenade into the air basically pockets it for around 6 seconds, if the team is dived within that window and they fail to interrupt it, it splashes everyone in range and has 4 seconds left on CD, which lets you drop another bio nade the moment the first one wears off. I botched that explanation some but I'm tired its 2am.
You can also self heal before getting into turret form if you don’t want to use a voice line. It makes the enemy think you’re low/vulnerable if you’re making the heal sound too.
As a Sigma main, I kinda feel legally obligated to add: you can also do this with Hyperspheres, but those are more niche and significantly harder to do. The only area that I know of that you can use Hyperspheres for mobility is on Hanamura defense, point A, where you can get to the platform top-right of the choke. Also, I know for a fact they patched that Echo tech before, because I abused the everloving hell out of it before she hit live servers. For the McCree change, wasn't this an Experimental change they scrapped? How the hell is it back?
you can do it to the high ground for first choke on Anubis point A from the pots on the ground I watched someone do it in ranked slightly faster than stairs his hyperspheres actually pull in instead of pushing out, so you're generally aiming to have them detonate in a way that allows you to pull yourself up a small ledge slightly higher than jump height niche but still useful
D.va tech: you can do the same thing as bastion and cancel the voiceline of call mech using any of her voicelines, not sure how useful this is but hey its an obscure tech isn't it
Also I don't really know if you consider call mech an ult especially since she has multiple lines for it but yeah the only ult in the game with a cancelable voice line (I think)
Surprised you didnt use the res tech from OWL where if you hold res when pocketing pharah and they die midair you can res them in the sky without going down to the flame
The "health stacking" tip for Baptiste is also super useful for stacking shields on Orisa during down time or leading into a team fight. It's often even more useful for Orisa, because her shield doesn't despawn until the new one _lands_ , meaning you can time the stacking shield to land immediately after the existing shield breaks, doubling them back to back.
For Torb, some people may not know that the turret hit box is fully formed as soon as it is deployed. In fact even while air borne the turret has a hit box. You can use this to block shots or Rein charges or Doomfist punches.
For Hanzo’s tech I’m 99% sure it doesn’t do damage to anyone but mei because meis ice block doesn’t have hp and therefore doesn’t take damage. The arrow can only do damage once but shields and deployables have health. Mei’s ice block does not so the arrow can still deal damage.
Idk if anyone has ever covered this but an interesting zen tech you can do is if you release your right click right before transcendence you keep firing the rest of your volley while in ult and you can aim it too. can be useful if you are low health and want to peak a corner with your volley without dying and still pick up the kill.
Same as bastion, when you teleport with reaper if you say anything in you communication circle it will cancel reaper yelling after teleporting and will only play the teleport sound effect
Another (far more obscure) Lucio tech: If you wall ride on the tire on Horizon Lunar Colony first point and boop it simultaneously, you can send yourself flying similar to the Brig tech from this video
These are the examples I'm here for, using the fact it explodes off of railings and broken objects on impact to make this easier is huge. 7:25 This is a much better use of this than I normally do, I usually do it in the open but this plus being behind cover when you do it will very likely bait the enemy.

You can combine the Ball Superjump with an enemy Mei's cryofreeze! If you go full speed into the slanted side of the iceblock it launches you really far up, in some cases even to the height limit.
That Moira Dopler Effect is useful for any projectile based hero actually, espacially for those that fire in rapid succession (Like Zen's alternate fire, DV's micro missiles and Orisa's primary). If you walk towards your enemy, you'll have an increased burst. If you move away, decreased burst. It doesn't work with hitscan weapons tho.
4:56 this tech is much easier to pull off if u use "hold for flight" option, and a funfact: it used to give u much higher momentum back when she was on PTR, basically allowing you to fly across the map in a single flight usage
Regarding the hog tip to hook people into high ground I find more effective if you look up and then look to the side you want to hook them into instead of jumping. Cyx does this a lot
i found another tip but might be hard for me to explain but ill do my best, i found in the practice range that if you go where the stairs are where the two bots are standing and get slightly behind that wall and try to hook then drag them to your left they will collide with the wall but instead of turning left and do a 280 angel to the right you can bring them past the wall blocking them
I'm not sure if this is obscure, but with sigma, "dancing" back and forth with his shield can avoid a lot of things. Sombra hacks being one of them. You can even send your shield into the air before you ult and move back and forth in it while ulting to stop sombra from hacking you
I mean, little shit like this is why KarQ got picked up, right? He never had insane mechanics, but every time I watch him stream he displays an incredible amount of not just gamesense but "game knowledge", if that makes sense. He knows every little trick/quirk about the characters he plays (and sometimes those he doesn't play, as evidenced by this clip), how and when these things can be used, and just a general intricacy in everything he does. Still remember getting my mind blown watching him use D.va bomb to get high ground as Zen in transcendence
Another little movement quirk for Pharah. Her jump jet normally sends you mostly upwards, with a slight forward movement bonus. However, if you time your jet so that you hit the corner edge of a roof object (like an archway, doorway, etc) then you will translate most of your upwards momentum into forward momentum, giving you approximately as much movement horizontally as a concussion blast. The usecases are quite niche, most often you can use it leaving spawn for some extra initial speed when you wanna get back to the objective quick - or in fights it can be useful to create unpredictable flight patterns when duelling hitscan dps etc who won't suspect such movement from jump jet. You'll easily tell if you fail, simply by losing all your momentum upon hitting the roof geometry. You can kinda treat it like Doomfist punches on slanted surfaces, same mechanics are at work.
Only THUMBS THIS UP if you learned a new tech after watching this
K love your content you made me a pro

Regarding the hog tip to hook people into high ground I find more effective if you look up and then look to the side you want to hook them into instead of jumping. Cyx does this a lot
Yeah you gotta try and pull them around the obstacle
i found another tip but might be hard for me to explain but ill do my best, i found in the practice range that if you go where the stairs are where the two bots are standing and get slightly behind that wall and try to hook then drag them to your left they will collide with the wall but instead of turning left and do a 280 angel to the right you can bring them past the wall blocking them
Why have i never thought about the moira tech. Thx karq❤️❤️
Thank you for continued content
Lucio bhopping better be in this
the music in the backgroud is sick
Always good vibes keep up the good work karq
This Lucio tech is giving me GW2 vibes
One torb tip is that if you hammer your turret twice it will completely reload your gun
Same mechanic with doom uppercut
