Yeah it’s because you opened it in ac the grease that vanstaal uses is a lot smoother when it starts to heat up the cold kinda toughens it but it isn’t anything bad

My reel doesn't sound like that, i would say there is a tiny amount. Its not Shimano smooth but what your reel sounds like is excessive.

Why the VR-50 vs VR-75? Same price, almost same weight but a bit more useful.
