Wayne, you helped me get into and learn how to lure fish for bass, so thank you. I appreciate all you've done for me, and agree and hope your channel finds that new direction and aspirations to grow. Cheers
Interesting upload. See comments below: 1. You don't owe anything. Do not change who you are to please the audience. Stay true to yourself. The best YT channels are where the viewers just tag along for the ride. Their involvement is almost incidental. 2. Bass lure fishing has a tiny appeal globally, however, lure fishing has a much broader reach. Consider fresh water over the winter for Pike and Perch. Your videos in Spain were superb, so book a spot on the Cornish tuna boats and video that. Variety is key. 3. Add tackle reviews. No-one really does this. At least not well. Good luck.
I agree with the above, would also love to see your views on some more unusual lures for example I just got 3 lures that look like crabs off Ali express for a couple of £, but couldn't find anything on them before purchasing
Like some here I have come back to fishing after long break - 20+ years. I spend a lot of time in North Wales and live over an hour from the South Coast so a lot of miles covered for my fishing and lure fishing seemed ideal as can travel light. First fish caught on a lure was November last year, a bass in North Wales. It reignited my passion for fishing. I came across your channel when researching last summer before I bought my kit and was working out how to get started, and it has proved invaluable. The content you produce is great, and you already have one advantage over other channels and that is YOU. Your enthusiasm and passion shines through and you seem at ease in front of the camera. Fully understand you want the channel to evolve and to expand the community. Key thing for me as a beginner is research and absorb as much as you can - even before you first cast a lure. There is so much to consider, especially with bass fishing, which means plenty of things to potentially cover on a channel that others don’t or to structure in a way that is easy to digest for those getting into lure fishing. Will summarise everything that has helped me in my first year that has produced bass to 69cm and plenty of blanks and send to you. Keep up the great work.
Work is restrictive but I’d like to see you travelling around and meeting up with more anglers in other areas. I’d also like to see people who’ve never fished landing their first bass (or pike). There’s something magical about seeing someone getting hooked on fishing. Personally I don’t think that you have to change very much. Showing people how to get started and be successful on a tight budget is one thing that’ll be very appreciated. Teaming up with a drone pilot for more B roll and the chance of an overhead view of a take might be fun for all to see. Other than that, keep doing what you’re doing... love the channel Wayne 👍😎
@Andymelvin006 work is always getting in the way of my fishing, and so are my bills 😅 I've got anplan to get someone on thier first pike next weekend, it's going to be awesome 👌
Also, just wanted to add, I think the journey somewhere is the exciting bit. Like your match fishing, you started knowing very little, and documented your progression, and that was fun to watch, seeing you get gradually better and better as you leant stuff and improved. Same with the lure fishing, staring off raw, adding to the armoury, learning new methods and ways and gradually turning into the guru. But, I think perhaps when you reach utopia, and level off, it gets samey. There's less progression you can add, the upward curve starts to level off and major breakthroughs are less frequent. And I think those 'Eureka' moments are important when making a show for an audience. The difference being something like 'I went fishing with a lure and caught my first bass on a soft plastic', to 'I went lure fishing again and caught some more schoolies'. I mean that in a constructive way. I now script my videos, create a story, a beginning, a middle and an end. Doesn't always work out when your relying on a wild animal to play it's part, but I feel it does give my content more meaning, for the most part.
Wayne , love what you do , you’re an inspiration to many , caught my first top water bass last month on the Espetit, all down to you , even bought the lure from you 😂😂, but as you’re asking for ideas , how about filming a trip with a novice , could make it a monthly special . Good luck buddy 🎣🎣
Got into your channel about 4 years ago. At the time you were doing rig building, match fishing and general advise. I caught my 1st keeper bass on lure this year and that was down to you giving me confidence that what I was doing seemed ok from what I had seen on your channel. Suggestions. Back to basics, history, matches and if possible meetups (poss meetup matches) end of the day do what you want not what you think we do. Its your enthusiasm that shines through
Long as you stay you, folk will tune in. Get what you're saying though, quite often sit and scratch my head wondering what I could do different. Depends on a few things I guess. Swerve to a new direction which might not appeal to the regulars but will possibly promote new followers, or stay true to the cause and keep those on board, but not expand as you'd like to. It's a hell of a situation. I think rather than a revamp entirely, add a few fun elements, like those that have already been suggested. New species, bring in new collaboration ideas, fun 'Vs' contests, and generally just mix things up, keeps em guessing. With your enthusiasm and drive I'm confident whatever path you chose will be a successful one. Good luck dude, let me know if I can help.
The clue is in the word LURE . Need to mix the target species up a bit, pike, perch, salmon, seatrout, and the new latest squid fishing trend which is growing like mad. Its not every day we can target bass, but the weapon might be OK to hit the fresh water species.

Wayne thanks for all your adventures from the club matches SLO Spinning catching great fish and your personality and the enthusiasm you have put in even making bagnall bars thank you. 👏👏👏
Hi wayne, I love the channel and its been part of my youtube check to see whatever youre up to next. I have an idea that stemmed from a golf (dont laugh) channel i used to watch. Occasionally, a budding new golfer (fishermnan) would pick up the sport and just doesnt know where to start, with the aid of the presenter, they would learn some basics, start to hone skills and over the short series you could see how much they had learnt. I think this could apply to lure fishing. Say have a 10 or so video series following a persons journey from a complete novice to leading a morning out fishing showcasing their skills alongside their teacher? Addiction starts from somewhere, and its not always a bad thing. 🤙
@@Anglingaddict75 I have no idea what's involved and the cost involved and seems to be a lot of secret stuff that no one is saying but thanks for your reply
@andrewlindsay5075 you can do it easy enough with a gopro type camera but I'm pretty sure the trick is to have either 27 arms or another camera person. 😎
Wayne your enthusiastic manner and expert knowledge has always inspired me to go fishing and explore the local area. I wish you all the best for the next step 👏
I’ve watched you for some time now, I really enjoyed the competition ones, but as with most things you had to progress and move on to other things. I think one of the main problems for any UA-camr is to keep their followers interested, it must be incredibly difficult to maintain their followers, especially when they have a particular niche audience. There are ways you can try to make changes, and you have had a lot of your followers come up with some great ideas, but unfortunately work, time, weather, costs etc etc all restrict what you can do. However I will continue to watch you Wayne and wish you all the best for the future 💪🐟🎣
I agree with those who say “be who you are” the excitement and passion you show for the sport is inspiring ( I do miss the “BAM!” On each catch) 😉 Wherever you go, whatever you show from here on do it like only Wayne can. I wish I knew more about the sport so I could give you inspiration. However, I do know you! Whatever you do I know you will give it your all.
Wayne, I love what you do. Informative and entertaining. Now all I need is to start catching something!😂 thanks for everything so far. Look forward to new stuff.😊
Really enjoy your channel Wayne and has helped me a lot since starting lure fishing last year. Love the videos, always fun and informative. Maybe you could try new venues and perhaps other species. Another thing that could help you stand out is focusing on watercraft and how to fish new marks. Been the steepest learning curve since I got into lure fishing and hardest thing for beginners in my opinion. Look forward to seeing how things develop in future 🎣
Loved your videos Wayne, your enthusiasm and passion is what got me into lure fishing. Fully understand you wanting to rethink and improve (which will be difficullt). I'll have to get the grey matter working on possible ideas. In the meantime, tight lines 🎣
Do your thing! I enjoy and appreciate your content. As for ideas, what’s the one thing every other YT fishing channel doesn’t tell you? Where. Yeah I know….. But if your community were to give guidance on where to go, when and then how to fish that area. That would be different.
Wayne, I’m Jim Crakers eldest and my dad has always wanted to get me into fishing and i was never keen. Since watching you i’ve loved fishing. every day i now go lure fishing and that’s freshwater as well as saltwater. Honestly, i couldn’t name a better angling youtube channel. Keep it up.
Wayne, this is THE best bass fishing channel out there. I’ve fished for 50 years - but only took up bass fishing in Jan ‘24. Your channel got me through 31 blanks before I caught a bass. I was inspired / enthused / excited by your content - especially as I fish on the South Coast in some of the areas where you do. Keep things going man, we love your energy and positivity……. MaS
After a 20 year break from fishing, thanks to binge watching your videos, and the useful info you so freely share with us all, i finally caught my first bass yesterday from the Ogmore estuary in South Wales. It was only a schoolie, probably somewhere around 1 to 1.5 pounds, but it was amazing, hit the surfseeker like a train and in the current it felt much larger than it actually was. Can't wait to catch another one. Make whatever changes you feel are necessary Wayne, i for one will still be along for the ride. Tight lines bud 👍

Wayne Wayne Wayne, I have loved your content as far back as I can remember. Dude You have made me spend A whole lot of Dosh on gear and you know what I love it. From having a passion of beach fishing since a young person You and only You got me into Lure fishing for Bass and I love every chance I get to do it. Yes I live inland just above London so getting out is not that easy, so watching your vids gets me away from the mundane day to day life in Hemel so I thank you Pal. @Dingmiester thank you dude! Glad to hear that I could of inspired you! You can 100% come on the journey! This isn't the end, just the end of the first chapter 💪
Get into alternative methods - fly bait etc. interview other anglers and fish with them not just so called celebs but genuine guys who are good at what they do. Go to tackle shops and discuss rods lures reels etc. you have the talent to communicate so go for it
just keep doing you and keep on keeping on buddy fishing is fishing many species to catch lure or bait fishing , fresh water or salt water, home or abroad, its all about the journey🎣👌👊
Hi Wayne been watching you since the early days and enjoy all your output it’s informative down to earth enjoyable! How about you run a competition and take one viewer out with you monthly by arrangement obviously? Travel different areas fishing away from the south for bass the NE they do visit but it only in the summer could you do that totally different environment?
Your content is real and good. It's also nice you haven't disappeared up your bottom by not sharing marks and things. Add in a bit of fly + kayak / boat. The odd bait trip even. If you changed nothing , you would still be good
@lp6292 thank you! Fly and SIB is on the way, bait I don't do much of anymore but there may be some float fishing for mullet on the way. In regard to marks, I'm happy to show where I'm fishing then it's up to the person to learn how to fish it.
@@Anglingaddict75 Mullet be good. Fish same areas as you and tried a mullet spinner and red rag on the spinner etc . Nothing. Did get one on a patch last summer though so ! Always about arnt they

You need to put down the lures and mix up the target species, float fishing for mullet, some surf/beachcasting and even some freshwater predator fishing. MIX IT UP AND GET OUT YOUR COMFORT ZONE. O and different venues/marks.
For me I’d love to see you meet up with other UA-camrs and fish there patch saltwater angler Hastings, Nigel Norton Essex ,Bass masters elite, Margate now that would be awesome to watch 😂
Ever seen those trout fishermen floating around a lake on a floating ring why not get one and float about the harbour shallows with a lure , fly rod using different methods ie bombarda with flies etc open beach lure fishing lures with teasers try for different species on a lure ie flounder mullet garfish bass are not the only fish in the sea that take lures all are good fun on the right gear learn some thing new take us on the learning journey with you
@ianhillier1687 different species on a lure is one that will be happening this year and the fly rod...... I'm still learning, maybe some trout, definitely Pike on lure this year
Phew, for a moment I thought you were announcing you joining onlyfans. 😂. Seriously though, Maybe some tropical fishing. I went to Cape Verde on hols and it was some of the best fishing I've done. Makes a change from bass for sure.
Stay strong brother 💪💪, the road is long and rough, but never let it get you down, here's a couple of ideas, pair up with another angler and use each others gear instead of your own, walk and talk with a group of anglers and talk swap stories about fishing adventures like, fav lures, fav mark's along funny stories about when it went tits up!!!, contact your subscribers and do fishing adventures with them and talk about where there passion for fishing came from, just someone random ideas for you that might help so keep up the good work my friend.

I'm not a subscriber but do watch the odd vidio of yours they are fun and informative I watch a lot of different people's vidios they are all the same doesn't matter what sort of fishing you do it's just fishing and that's why us fishermen watch. What ever life Brings you next I will follow If we can be part of it. I would love to see you travel the Uk and Ireland chasing Bass. Best of like Dude A fan ..😛🤘🤘👍
If you changed nothing , you would still be good
@lp6292 thank you!
Always about arnt they
@lp6292 they are and I have a plan to get the floats out for them soon
Think others have said it your character and passion man is there 100% so take Wayne onto other lure fishing Wayne yes I know you’ve done other stuff LRF etc which is my passion but I watch and learnt so much watching you on bass fishing so switch it up to to other species and locations top bloke serious Wayne
Thank you!

Were with you bro 🤘👍🖖

Awesome mate 👏👏keep up the good work
You need to put down the lures and mix up the target species, float fishing for mullet, some surf/beachcasting and even some freshwater predator fishing. MIX IT UP AND GET OUT YOUR COMFORT ZONE. O and different venues/marks.
@@majmat freshwater stuff is on its way!
The main purpose of this video is to get out of the comfort zone. I'm glad you said that!
@@Anglingaddict75 love the channel and i look forward to what comes next.😋
@phillipb72 Im sure i mention Onlyfans? 🤣 I am trying to get back out to Spain next year so we'll see what happens
@adriansalt3774 takes a lot to knock me down 😁

I'm listening
This is the end my only friend the end.
Bring the viewer fishing, I don't know how one does that. Perhaps less commentary
Try naked lures fishing 😂 if not stay as you are
@billherne1946 I'm not changing who I am (or going naked 🤣) I just want to change up the content really, make it unsamey
I'm not a subscriber but do watch the odd vidio of yours they are fun and informative I watch a lot of different people's vidios they are all the same doesn't matter what sort of fishing you do it's just fishing and that's why us fishermen watch. Don't worry about it if you have lots of subscribers you must be doing something right.
