The biggest problem in the UK is lack of water.. small ponds and lakes are mostly private.. bigger lakes are scarce.. u have some canals.. but they are very narrow (hence narrow boats).. In holland our canals are like 50 meters across.. or more. and lanes for much bigger shipping. Yes we also have a couple of dayticket lakes over here.. but thats not the norm. U can just pull up to the bank here mostly and fish it.. no extra fees or license needed. (license is like 30 euro for a year can fish 95% of all the water with that).
Catching a big fish out of a pond like that when u know its in there.. so not for me.

Breeding carp like this in the uk in a heated tank and moving it to a lake outside is a fish killer. The stress levels will kill that fish in a matter of months to years hence these fish belly up fast. The biggest reason for this is they end up having a very low immune system once in a natural environment.
The host talking him up over this way of breading fish shows his complete lack of understanding of how these fish live and survive in different climates
So much for longevity. Just cook new ones rinse and repeat
They’re not the most hated venue in the country for no reason and I can see why It gets anglers backs up.
This is more big fish manufacturing than everything else. Hoping they last a few years before the next batch is ready
If it was the right thing to do all fish farms would be doing it but they don’t purely for the reason I’ve explained
I’m not just some troll. I own my own lakes so I got experience in this field

    • @Chip8383
      @Chip8383 23 дні тому +2

@@shropshireladoutdoors743you have just answered your own question.😅. Those koi you reference never experience a winter. These ‘home grown’ carp will only ever know warm water until they’re sold (for huge profit) before experiencing their first winter where you hope a week immune system will get them through it. Why are babies and children encouraged to play and mix at such a young age- it builds an immune system. Same theory applies.

Alot of negative comments on here and all I can add is another. The Mere used to be a cracking venue for all Anglers £120 for a season ticket, plenty of Carp that were essential Mere Carp along with some great Pike fishing. It was good for all, even the match Angler and general pleasure Angler who just wants a bite from anything.
Now its out priced for many and only a venue for a Carp Angler its the polar opposite of what is good for Angling.
At one point I had always wanted to fish the Monument until one day I driven past and saw a pool crammed with bivvys around a sparce open unnatural hole and thought "F that" thats not for me.
Honestly RH put alot of Anglers out of a affordable ticket locally, it upset hundreds of Anglers of all ages and disciplines, it was a sad time I remember well.

I don’t understand the negativity towards RH fishery’s? It just the modern way of getting fish larger if you understand the work that gos in to breeding and grading such fish the big ones are millions to 1 special! It’s just applying science and knowledge and not chance to how a fish develops.
It’s pretty simple really if it’s not your thing just don’t fish those waters! But don’t ridicule people who choose to.

This is not for me but you can’t stop a man satisfying a demand for something. To say he wants to make carp angling affordable to everyone is very disingenuous, it’s obviously a money-making venture. Pity really because some of those syndicate lakes are fabulous looking lakes. Comes down to horses for courses.
Quite amusing really, you’ve got all the “non-noddies” on here criticising having watched this film from start to finish and then deciding who or what to look down their noses at and Rob Hales has all his syndicates with long waiting lists and people queueing up at his day-ticket waters to fish.
I wonder who the noddies really are….Rob Hales, the millionaire ?….people enjoying his lakes and syndicates for what they are or the non-noddies that lead sad lives doing one night a week on a rock hard syndicate usually blanking and spending the rest of their time trying to impress their mates with their elitist attitude to their fishing. Dave Lane once highlighted this type of angler , he was talking about Wraysbury the year before RK Leisure bought it from Cemex . He said there were only 15 members on there that year . If carp angling was left to the “ elitists” it would have died a death years ago. People like Korda, Fox and Nash have brought it to the masses ( noddies included) . Does anyone think those companies would exist and thrive without the noddies trying to emulate their heroes. If it was left to “ elitists” they’d all still be using washing - up bottle tops for indicators and sitting under brollies to try and stay alive in the winter. So yeah !…..there is a massive demand and for this type of carp angling and if RH didn’t satisfy it someone else would. Get used to it lads….. no one gives a shit what you think, carry on with your quest for Shoulders or Single Scale or whatever but please don’t seek to run everyone else down just because you’ve chosen another path in your fishing. Not everyone takes it that seriously ……life’s too short. Hope your next blank is enjoyable. 😁

Engaging in fishing at a facility with manufactured fish and controlled conditions may provide a fun experience and is good for kids perhaps but it lacks the authenticity and challenge that define true fishing. This practice is often designed primarily for profit, this doesn't reflect the skills and patience required in genuine fishing. To truly call oneself a fisherman, one should seek out natural waters with wild stocks, where the unpredictability of nature tests their abilities and knowledge. Real fishing involves understanding ecosystems, adapting to varying conditions, and respecting the environment, all of which contribute to a deeper appreciation of the sport.

Poor fish. Unatrual, forced growth. No real angler wants to catch fish like this. It's cheating and catching these kind of fish and claiming they are record breakers is everything that is wrong with carp fishing now a days.

The golden era of carp fishing is a distant memory…..Rod Hutchinson at Savay with the boys……now, in 2024 we get 40lb stockies and a bunch of donuts trying to catch them for their Instagram account. Where is the glory of catching a 40 that got put in the lake a week earlier? Pathetic.

Big Rig was 71lb 4oz I think - Great video with some fantastic fish, can't wait to hear how big these get with the new growing process! Just like to add that some of us don't get the time we really want to be able fish due to other things going on in life, what these lads are doing is great for those of us in search for bigger carp who might not have the time to put into a 2 year campaign or the money to join the mega-syndicates. It really worries me how many just leave negative comments on videos like this and how this is reflected in the carp community generally, if you've not got anything nice to say, just move on and put your energy into something you like ✌✌🖖🖖

With such a rapid growth doesn’t it put too much pressure on relatively immature organs of the fish or have the fishes organ development matured beforehand?

People have mixed opinions on this. These fish are not native to the uk, there a hybrid french, belgian fish known for fast growing, Fair play to the lads at RH, there making dreams come true for UK anglers who dont need to travel to france and europe to catch big carp. But for me a Uk record has to be native to this country not genetically modified forced to grow fast and introduced into a water.

This fishery is just as bad as the others . Look at the place all the top names go , what about the place that’s got around 150 on list to join and you pay around £500 to stay on waiting list and Ali hamidi paid the owner £10k to close it and pre bait it for two weeks , no normal run of the mill anglers will ever fish places like this , pure greed killing carp fishing in uk I’d rather catch a old warrior of 30lb from a old estate lake in uk

71lb 4oz looks a fantastic set up, but if it's not for you dont fish it.But no need for the spiteful comments. When you go out to buy a car you choose what's best for you it's your money, I bet you don't go on social media and slag off every other model you don't like? There are different options for every one just because it's not for you dosent make it wrong.

It’s a cool idea, turning a 20 into a 40 in one year raising it in a jacuzzi. But what will happen to that fish once moved to a uk lake that hits minus conditions in the winter?

There's always the argument about growing fish to this size for stocking and the importing issue..Fish are bred to a huge size now, whereas importing from abroad is where all the fish in UK came from originally. For me I'd rather see a fish grow in a venue from a small size and imports don't really bother me..I bet half the anglers now can't distinguish a Galician from a Dinkelsbuehl etc. Just hear mirror, common, leather, ghost these days.
