If they just listened to his voice on the 911 call you could, in my opinion, easily realise he was faking it. It just wasn't realistic and so many of these calls are the same - you can hear it in the voice. Basically they are not trained actors and it's pretty obvious.

Rudy ain't fooling anyone with this fake persona. He clearly got caught up in the middle of a true crime documentary while trying to live a double life.
I don't think this episode gave as much credit to Det. Doug Williamson as he deserved. After all, he was the first one to doubt and suspect Mark Winger. Without him, the truth never would have been revealed. But they focused more on Det. Cox, who almost bungled the whole thing.

My ex husband {before we married} one time stated that things would be easier if his previous ex just died, and I didn't think much of it at the time. Just thought he was frustrated and saying things he didn't really mean because he was going through custody issues. I only realized it was a real problem once he became abusive {shortly after getting married of course}. Then I see this video and hear that this man also stated the same type of thing, and it instantly took me back and made me feel really stupid for not listening better, sooner in my own relationship. If I had, we would have never married. There usually are warnings, but for some reason we tend to make excuses when someone is in our heart.
***Scrolling comments to see who else thought the FIL strongly resembled Rudy Giuluani***🥴 Next, that friend WAS NOT gonna say a word as long as her and the bff's hubby were still hunchin! He trashed her for the Nanny then her conscience kicked in. 🙄
Another red flag for me was that he first diverted course to get his pistol instead of going directly to rescue his wife. Not a natural instinct if his wife was being attacked.
48 Hours didn’t go into the relationship that was lost between the Dreschers and Bailey, Mark and Donna’s daughter. The Dreschers desperately wanted her in their lives bc she was all they had left of Donna. Mark denied them Bailey and his new wife adopted her. Mark and his new wife (I think her name is Anna) had two daughters and a son as well. I have seen this story so many times on so many different shows. I always learn something new each time I watch this story, because every show focuses on a different relationship. This one focused more on the Detectives, whereas 20/20 focused more on Mark’s second marriage. RIP Donna. Postscript- after Mark went to prison, Anna reached out to the Dreschers, and they did eventually get to host Bailey on her 16th birthday.
Its so crazy so called detectives did not notice the bodys positions before they were taken away. Thank god one cop had the sense to take photos ... just a shame no one looked thru the file and saw them before closing the case. And admitting any bits that didn't add up, he just tried to ignore!! Poor police work.
At keast the detective learned an essential rule of being an investigator: don’t trust what people tell you, collect hard evidence, investigate all before coming to a conclusion.
It’s really difficult to understand how a person can be loved by an entire family but somehow in reality is an evil POS to this degree, and they never see a hint of it. Hard to imagine.

@@melissamaclean9926Who knows,maybe a little bit of both
a man trying to fake crying and being heartbroken, never works.
Her friend only told the police because he ended the affair!!! What a friend?!!
This is so sad. I wish he would have just divorced Donna like a normal person... she could have still had a good long life. And Harrington too. He didnt need to be dragged into this and have his name/reputation be ruined
Didn't want to be looked at badly for divorcing, and having to go to court over custody/ pay child support.. he was a narcissist and thought he could outsmart the police.. if it wasn't for Deanna's guilt causing her to come forward, he would probably still be free..
@@Jkaye13I think Deanna is just as bad as the husband. She only came forward cause she was bitter he married another woman after Donna was killed and Deanna maybe thought she would get to raise the adopted baby, be the second wife....and that didn't happen. Deanna is a low life too.
I am very proud of you, Detective Doug Williamson! We definitely need more honorable people like you!
He's my uncle
Donna's mom can't fathom why this piece of trash killed her daughter. Was it because of his mistress? This man is heartless and truly evil, planning and committing such a horrible act.
I didn't get that either with the mom. The answer is very clear why he did it. He was a cheating scumbag! He never loved her. His parents seem enabling.
And with a hammer how awful!!!!
I think also because she couldn’t have children.
Yeah...I also feel like he wanted to have his own children...not just an adopted one!
@@Rocioxx0619 I also wondered about that but in the end he's a narcissist and utterly selfish.
This heartless killer wanted kids??? The audacity!!!
Someone who betrays her best friend (affair with her husband) has no conscience and all her words can be lies ! She is as guilty as the killer ! She deserves jail time, that poor driver and his family, so sad
One planned to and then did unalive 2 people, the other one was the worst friend. And the guilt is the same ??? Having no moral is not a crime.
Jail time for what? An affair with a friend’s husband isn’t a crime.
It never ceases to astonish me how nefarious people can be.
Poor Donna smh...such evil around her to include the so-called best friend and husband. Both scums.
😢😢😢
“Why should we believe you?”
“Why should you not believe me?”
This guy is just TOO smart! Not guilty! 🤡🤡🤡🤡
Deanna is the worst kind of friend she should be charged with something withholding valuable information
But it was the Polaroids, ignored or unseen by the “ investigators” that clinched the case.
This guy brings new meaning to word diabolical.
He had a very beautiful wife and a new daughter; as well as successful careers. Then 2 insuspecting and innocent people died in very premeditated and violent manner at his hand and he plotted 2 more from prison. And denied everything! What an evil monster! 😡
Watching from Zambia 🇿🇲. People find it creepy that I love these episodes 😅. I get it but hey I just love true crime
Am from zambia too I watch these and aircrash investigates ala Am addicted I watch these even bed time they help me sleep..

Does Zambia have much crime or a tv show about it?
i watch TCr to see the scumbag killers get sent to prison!!

Is that Rudy Giuliani? 😂
Looks just like him. 😂
Thought the same thing lol
I was just wondering that as well….
His wife kinda looks like Nancy Pelosi
Who, the husband?
If they just listened to his voice on the 911 call you could, in my opinion, easily realise he was faking it. It just wasn't realistic and so many of these calls are the same - you can hear it in the voice. Basically they are not trained actors and it's pretty obvious.
They are overly dramatic on those calls thinking it would convey the _right amount_ of fear
Monday morning I def needed this. Trying to get my kids off to camp and none of us are moving fast 😅 time to throw an ear pod in. Have a good week 48 fam! ❤

When Mark responded to the 911 operator with the words "emergency emergency" I was immediately suspicious...
Me too.
he sounded like Alex Murdaugh lying to the emergency responders.
That so called friend giving the side eye to the camera says it all

Men just can't get it right when they fake those 911 calls.
Women will get it wrong too when they give a huge story to explain where they were and go overly hysterical without tears.
I think men make fake 911 calls more than women but both are equally bad at faking lol. Listen to Pamela Hupp's 911 call, even remembering it made me cringe...
Springfield resident here. I delivered a package to Mark once not too long after the murders before he got arrested. I didn't even realize it until after I did my paperwork at the end of the day. That's it. My little lame claim to fame.
I'm from Springfield also!
So you got his Autograph? (that's a joke, son,)
@@Z8Q8😅
These old episodes are my favorites!
It’s amazing when these high IQ book smart idiots think they can bamboozle and get over on the police. This guys arrogance was what got him locked up in the first place! I feel terrible for the families especially her mom. You can tell she was so very loved!
He almost got away with it!!
I’m speechless, here is another man do the unthinkable and unalive his wife and an innocent man just because he couldn’t control himself like a child not only that but after that he wanted to unalive the witness who eventually got him in jail for good , at least he’s in jail for life and I hope the families feels a bit better after the verdict
I believe that old woman 💯 when she says her son is not a murderer and he didn't do it
Harrington should not have been hired as a driver. That being said, I felt sorry for his family. I hope that God showers blessings upon them.
Its always the 911 call that tells me what I need to know, the husband. 😔
Rip Donna
They'd only been married five years before he killed her.
Winger turned out to be a swinger...
😂😂
Anyone else thought that was Rudy Giuliani? 🤣
Yes. So uncanny.
Absolutely ! It was kind of creepy !
yes, was comparing fotos for 5 min😂
Rudy ain't fooling anyone with this fake persona. He clearly got caught up in the middle of a true crime documentary while trying to live a double life.
I don't think this episode gave as much credit to Det. Doug Williamson as he deserved. After all, he was the first one to doubt and suspect Mark Winger. Without him, the truth never would have been revealed. But they focused more on Det. Cox, who almost bungled the whole thing.
I respect Det Cox for being man enough to admit he got it wrong, many wouldn’t have. 🌻
@@thresagraham8181 True!
@@SteelyBud at least some justice being served, he must be so mad as he very nearly got away with it. 👍🌻
1 minute in, and I already know it's the husband who did it. That call was so pathetic it actually make me howl laughing at one point he wailed like Morty lol
I don't think he did it.
Wasn't this case shown on Cold Case Files or Forensic Files?
Wow, you my friend are good,Forensic Files (Season 8,Episode 6 “A Welcome Intrusion “.

OT, but did anyone else notice that Ira Drescher is a dead ringer for Rudy Guiliani?
Yes that was so surprising!
My heart goes out to the parents of Donna! What a wonderful daughter you raised. As the mother of 4 grown successful daughters & 8 grandchildren I cannot fathom the depth of your loss. May Donnah’s Fund be a lifeline to other vulnerable young women. May G-d bless and keep you. I hope you have access to your daughter’s child.
He cried and cried and had no tears!!! He's evil!!
Not everyone expels tears
Thank goodness that Cox detective had enough humility to eventually admit he was wrong, change course, and put the real murderer behind bars!
Good morning everyone. Enjoy breakfast coffee or workout over this episode. Pleaseeee be safe out there
Are you extremely lonely ?
That supposedly best friend can’t be trusted at all. I’m sorry but she doesn’t appear to be trustworthy at all 😢
I hope the grandparents still get to see the adopted child 😢
Who has the adopted child? The second wife?
@@edp3202 yes the nanny turned wife 🤮 the first wives parents were active in the child’s life till the case was reopened hurts my heart to think about them not being able to see the kid even if it’s biologically not the first wives but legally her adopted child
The murders happened in 1995, so the child is around 30 years old now. Sara Jane Drescher died last year at the age of 83.
What a "friend" Deann was 🙄
My ex husband {before we married} one time stated that things would be easier if his previous ex just died, and I didn't think much of it at the time.
Glad you got out of that marriage and are safe.
Wow what a horrible story - let him rot in jail….awful awful person…
I don't think he did it
***Scrolling comments to see who else thought the FIL strongly resembled Rudy Giuluani***🥴
Next, that friend WAS NOT gonna say a word as long as her and the bff's hubby were still hunchin! He trashed her for the Nanny then her conscience kicked in. 🙄
Yep I thought it was Rudy!
It’s very scary how one never knows how someone REALLY feels about you. 🥺
Another red flag for me was that he first diverted course to get his pistol instead of going directly to rescue his wife. Not a natural instinct if his wife was being attacked.
Wow, excellent investigation followed through by Detective Williamson! The case likely would've remained close if he wasn't persistent.
I feel sorry for the adopted baby.
always amazed how people pretend to be surprised. the fake emergency calls sounds alike every time lol
Yes it is mind blowing and scary that it can happen ! This is a good eye opener for sure !
