Struggled with this every morning for about a week fresh out of the box took me a few beeps to get it started, now I don't completely shut it down restmode just as good if not better. The demand was too high for them and the quality of assembly was compromised but at least I didn't pay $1000 for it
So what stopped you from pulling that first shorted cap at the top of the board first before finding the shorted cap/caps in parallel at the bottom? Did the bad cap you changed cause the short on the first shorted cap you found? Good work. Love the channel.....and btw what thermal cam is that? I've only seen a few for phones and that's definitely not a flir lol. Looking to get one but don't want to spend a crazy amount on one. Thanks buddy!
It's because of experience. Everything on the power rail with the shorted cap will appear shorted. It's worth inspecting what's on the back of the board as you might spend time removing the first shorted cap, only to find a mosfet with a hole in it behind... Usually you go to voltage injection to save time, because you won't know what component has failed, and it's much more efficient than pulling off every component until the short disappears.
Hi, congratulations for your videos. Before I had a strange absorption already in standby and I changed the two mosfets. Now in standby I no longer have strange absorptions but if I inject 3V right there on the coil, it burns the IC behind the card. Among other things, in standby near the IC I should have 3.3V but instead I have 0.90V. I already lifted the capacitors near that ic (AF01 0R3S) but the result is the same. What do you think?

I think I’ve got a new issue with my P5, it beeps and turns on but after a second or two the blue light turns off. I press the power button again and it beeps but nothing happens. I press the power button another time an it repeats, I tried turning it on via controller (both ways), unplugged it, tried a new outlet and A/C cord and nothing still. Can’t find a solution for it anywhere so I think this might be a newer issue
This has just happened to me too - I’ve sent it back to get repaired today! Hope it’s not going to happen again but seem to be an issue on the MB so nothing you can do about it apart from return for a repair. Had my console for about 4 or 5 months

Very helpful video. I have the same symptoms but the only fault I can find is fuse F7003 bad and 2 caps showing bad in that same area next to the Dialog chip. Would this cause this blue light issue ?
Checking the capacitors or inductors maybe(again) sorry, I'm not a technician, they are not short to ground so it appears the only fault is the fuse F7003.

I almost died because of a bug, I turned on my tv and it was on hdmi channel and at the same time I turned on my ps5 direct the buttom. He didnt beep and light became blue for ever. I through that it broken, but at the end was just a bug between hdmi link and playstation, which turned on playstation twice at the same time (My teory), and it bugged. Fixed after unplug.

I had to return a brand new one that did this. I returned it to the store a couple of days ago, and the lady said I was the 4th person returning a new ps5 back and doing the same thing. One guy who returned one the other day was on his 3rd return. Ps5 is junk
How much did it cost you. I was on with Sony for over an hour in total and they couldn’t help. They are telling me to send off for 30days and it’ll cost $230 😢
@@joshuagould8402 so I was very lucky and also not lucky let me explain I got my PS5 on launch day pre order 3 months after getting it crap on me with it turning off during game play random sent it in got it repaired free and sent back long story short same issue happened 4 times up to date got my PS5 back this 4th time and It wouldn't turn on with this same issue so this issue was also fixed by them free still covered because I've had so much issues it's at repair center in Texas I've requested to speak to manager before they send anything back also I've requested a new console it's obvious this PS5 has major issues
@@joshuagould8402 the 30days is the time they have to send it back to you Maximum so it will not take that long 230$ is worth it because you will have warranty also Id get it fixed and sell that shit and go buy another PS5 and get warranty on it extended warranty If they send me back my same system I'm doing this if it's a new console not refurbished I will keep it Hope it helped you There are shops that can fix this like this man in the video and it will be cheaper and not long wait time Most of the problems is chip shortage still going on

This has just happened to me too - I’ve sent it back to get repaired today! Hope it’s not going to happen again but seem to be an issue on the MB so nothing you can do about it apart from return for a repair. Had my console for about 4 or 5 months

Remove the shorted caps and measure if the short is gone that's causing the fuse to go bad

My light don’t even come on it’s just makes the noise only when I press the eject button once every few of I press the on button

6.3 volts 22 uF 0603 but it would bebetter if you find 10v 22 uF.

Actually, there is no need to give that heat to the hook for a smd ceramic capasitor. 5 second job with solder iron. good day.
