- Do you want to know how to Fix PS5 Blinking Blue Lights and the Blue Light of death? This is very easy to do. This happens when the lights on your PS5 continue to blink and nothing displays on your TV or Monitor! You can try to launch your PS5 into safe mode by holding down the power button and turning off the PS5 completely. Now plug in the controller with a USB cable and then go to change resolution and set it to automatic and set the HDCP to 1.4 only. Then update the system software from the internet. Then try to rebuild the database. The last option would be to reset the PS5. This will delete the users and data off the PS5. ...

I was about to just reset it and loose it all. Decided to unplug everything from the PS5 all night. Plugged it in and turned it on in the morning and it started just fine!! Hope this helps someone:)

I’m connected to a monitor and for some reason the monitor says it can’t connect because of it being on 400 instead of 1080 or 1800 I tried these methods still didn’t get a resolution of fixture
After everything I do it just loads back up with grey screen and then PlayStation symbol, after that the symbol goes away and it just stays grey

If you have digital games, ( no discs ) & you choose to reset your PS5 but you already made sure you synced/saved to cloud storage. You would still have your games right ? After your ps5 resets, you just redownload everything.
Was playing Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and the ps5 just turned off. Won't go into safe mode. Any ideas?

i was downloading an update on a game while in rest mode while i was sleeping and i think the power must've went out. i tried all options until i just reset. my advice is to just maybe turn off rest mode . i thought they patched it. sucks losing saved data, i dont think i had ps plus

So I have an ssd I bought for 4tb of storage,was playing cold war and it crashed my whole thing.then I did all these steps and so far the only issue is the console telling me to format the ssd and I press format and it does not go past 13 percent,the screen just flashes white and my console just flashes blue 3 times and then the lights turn off,but I go to press the power button and still beeps.i press it again and it "turns on" and it's the same issue all over again.

And my PS5 is flashing blue the PS5 logo come on then it goes to a black screen, when I’m in Safe Mode it is White and not flashing but then it goes back to the same thing. Whatever I do. Except reset I haven’t tried that yet. I am doing what @Martin frujillo did.

Was having the same problem, all I did was just unplug it and started it up again and it worked no bs I was already getting heated cuz pge shut off all power to fix a pole 😤 but it's gucci now
It seems like there are a lot of us experiencing this problem right now, could a system update Sony sent out be the cause?? I'm going to send in a report to Sony even though its working now so they can hopefully look into it!

My PlayStation 5 was blinking blue for 6 minutes, but also wasn’t connecting to my tv. I swapped the correct hdmi, turned off my Tv, and finally I unplugged the console… I hate doing it, but it did indeed work. I hope I could help someone.

My ps5 when I try to go to resolution and change it, it just restarts but there’s still a black screen
this has happened to mine just a few days ago. black screen and blinking blue light on console. it won't even let me enter safe mode but instead turns off. I've tried different ac cords, tested hdmi, tried a different hdmi, different outlet, different tv but problem still persist. I've kept mine in very good condition, and i have hardly used it because of work. mine occurred after booting netflix for the first time on the console and as i was scrolling it suddenly made a sound and shut itself off. The even more sad part is mine is just a month past warranty and the service cost from playstation (not including to settle repair fee or replacement fees if need) is asking for 260$ CDN!!! i really hope i can fix this..
I just came from one video that really worked just power off your ps5 you should hear only one beep then power it on by holding it until you hear two beeps it should immediately put you into safe mode
I had to reset it all the way like to factory settings but once you put your psn in you’ll gonna have to download everything all over again better than a broken ps5 ig

I've tried everything but reset and it just keeps repairing consol storage. It doesn't seem to do what I'm picking.
Mate, my 9 year old son has went without his ps5 for 3 months because the shop wouldn't take it back without the original packaging and it's been lying for all that time (after buying him loads of games, PS+ subscription etc). I couldn't describe the problem to Sony in the troubleshooting section. You've certainly earned a sub and a serious - and massive - "thank you" from the UK. Do you have a Patreon or anything like that, as I feel a donation is certainly warranted?
For anyone wondering, nothing worked bar the number 6 reset selection. We were also very lucky that I'd recorded his account codes which I e-mailed to myself, so I had his e-mail address to work with (can't really expect a 9-year old to remember an e-mail address).
They can’t refuse to take it back if it has a fault and you have proof of purchase

When I go to safe mode and when it say press the ps button when I do it it don’t work
So I was getting a error by a system error. Went into safe mode did a update ps5 shut off and now won’t come on I’ll hit the power button the blue light will come on then it will go back off tried going back into safe mode and I can’t. Has anyone else had this issue

None of this worked for me. After each step, it wouldn’t turn back on by itself. I had to manually power it down and restart in safe mode again.

Mine started when i got a notification for a software update. I doit and it turns off. It took a long time to turn on but it finally did. Next thing it just blinks blue and wont display anything. I tried manually turning it off but it just beeps 3x rapidly and refuses to go to safe mode. So stupid i even disconnected from the main power cord and turn it on again but same thing happened
So i fixed it. I was able to get it into safe mode and had to factory reset it. Luckily i had stuff in the cloud and on a hard drive, so people that have neither will just loose everything. Like i even got a notification that something went wrong with the system so it wasnt even my fault. They straight up said it was sony's fault.

what if safe mode isn’t even popping up on my tv or any other tv i have?
Mines nit able to even go into the safe mode. It gets to the connect the USB cable screen, beeps 3 times and shuts off again. Just happend to me today while playing a game and randomly shut off. Tried to cut it back on and it flashed blue lights, beeped 3 times and cut back off
