The Hertz at the Vegas airport has several of these for rentals. I had one for two days and was thoroughly unimpressed. The gear selector often didn’t engage and at one point the entire row of buttons popped out of the dash. The infotainment would play static whenever you tried to slide up and down menus on the screen. And good lord was the gloss black plastic trim annoying in the sun.
If Hertz is falsely reporting their regular cars as stolen and sending cops to perform felony arrests on innocent people, I can’t imagine what they would to people renting a Maserati. 😊
I'm a big fan of Maserati and I know this model is designed to give them something to compete with the Macan, but I personally would never get this over a Stelvio. For this money I could have the monstrous Stelvio Quad and I'm sorry but some better grade leather and wood is hardly enough to warrant choosing a 325hp 4-cyl. over a 505hp V6. I hope they move a lot of these to the Macan lease crowd but that won't be me.
agreed but i wouldnt mind a trofeo, honestly i would want both if i could afford it. want to make a rally spec version of the Stelvio quad (stripped out interior rear of the front seats able to do some light off roading/overlanding) and would want a trofeo for family duty
I rented one in Fort Lauderdale for 4 days, couldn’t wait to get rid of it! There were electrical glitches non-stop, it would randomly turn on the stereo, wipers, parking brake would engage sometimes for no reason on the parking lot, power rear door wouldn’t work and so on.
@@AlbertManiscalcoohh c'mon, Hyundai isn't that much worse than Fiat/ Stellantis. The GV70 doesn't have the shared Hyundai parts unlike the Maseratis that have shared Fiat parts that's all gonna break at any moment.
Wanna pay 50,000 more for a Dodge Hornet? Here we go! I still cant understand the fascination with Maseratis.... they look cheap and break down if you look at them too long
no youre not tripping you just havent seen enough cars to know they all share things in common...there are only so many ways to skin a cat, which means some will look similar and it doesnt mean anyone copied anyone, buddy
haha...guaranteed you've never sat in one if thats what you believe. i love mazda (have even owned them) but their SUVs are nothing to write home about. the only mazda worth mentioning at the moment is the miata (and maybe the 3) which needs a bigger update.
first of all not the same platform second of all you do know that toyota owns lexus and share platforms and the same is true for the germans so either youre clues about cars or youre a racist hater
They're not related. The Grecale is based on the Alfa Romeo Stelvio/ Jeep Grand Cherokee platform (rear wheel drive). The ones you mentioned are front wheel drive.
So you design a car with a dangerous blind spot (sadly just like every other SUV out there) and it comes without blind spot moniriting as standard.Bet you that it only comes in a package of stuff that you don't really need and have to accept and pay through your nose for.
To buy a Maserati you have to be so filthy rich you can burn money. They are Italian which means beautiful and poorly made, and the annual maintenance will be more than the cost of most other similar cars. Add to that an almost guarantee that Maserati goes Bankrupt and changes owners in the next five years as they have every decade. It's one thing to have a fast unreliable sports car, but having a fast unreliable jacked up hatchback is literally the most obnoxious and stupid waste of money in automotive history.
Especially when you consider they're now part of the Chrysler, dodge, fiat conglomerate of unreliable automakers. It is like every terrible POS car company is now one auto group that I would never buy any vehicles from under any circumstances.

The items you listed can be viewed as components of the Italian charm (11:10) that Mike mentioned in the review.

Never buy Maserati for North American market. Better go to Europe, more HP, and much better quality.
"I'll take things that never happened for $500, Alex"
I mean.. that's some typical Fiat/ Stellantis type of stuff. Not surprised.
Excellent review! I drove a Modena Grecale today and it was amazing! Much larger than expected!
You nailed it man. You have a new subscriber from Egypt ❤❤
The fact it doesn’t even come standard with blind spot monitoring 😂. Even my grandpa’s Accord has it. C’mon!!
Fantastic video Mike!

Beautiful. I love Maseratis.
Great review. Articulate, direct, and good production values.
That power train isn’t refined enough for that price imo. Reminds you too much of its FCA roots
What are the service intervals? How does this compare to the GLE 350 4matic?
Wow! Dodge has made something that looks Italian.
Wow, morons can type
Absolutely beautiful vehicle.
Wow, i thought this would start at 50K and top out at maybe 70K, but no, this thing is massively overpriced. Id rather buy a 3 year old macan.
No heated rear seat? Even my Outback has that. At this price point I'll take a GV70.
lots of options. if you can afford it its available., but we all know you just wanted to big up the hyundai

U just compared a Genesis and a Subaru to Maserati.....
@@MrMagnificent1ne Seeing as I've driven all three yes I did.
I love it.
I’m good on the car, but can I have those Jordan 1 lows pls 🙏🏽😂😂😂
Hahahaha heyyyyyy these shoes are special to me! I made those dunks on the Nike website! 1-of-1!
Nice Maserati performance car
Lost me at piano black infotainment blob! Tactile knobs would make it very interesting for me.
The big quesion, will Mike fit...yes he does kind of.
Yeah kinda!
Front end looks aged and its a brand new model.
????? based on what?
This mid engine should be put in the Giulia
For whoever design the white interior of a vehicle, they never wear jeans? And they don’t know jeans’ color came out😒🙄
Lots of people don't wear jeans much. The only pairs I own are Kevlar-reinforced for riding a motorcycle.
Correct. Those of us who buy white interiors don’t wear jeans.
I can't stand the cheap high gloss plastic on the steering wheel. Gross.
Otherwise it looks nice.
Nice

This isn't related to the Dodge Hornet. FWD VS RWD.
You're confusing this with the Alfa Romeo Tonale
@@cbarber5366 Tonale, Grecale and Hornet are all the same. Just different lipstick
Where is Micah!???? His reviews were the bessssssttt 😢
He got promoted so I believe he’s more of a supervisor now
Yup, he’s still around…
Trident=Dodge, AlphaRomeo, Maserati
learn hoot spell it at least 🤡
Guys please stop buying SUVs!!!!!
Tewwwwwww late!
Am I trippin or does the centre screen give out Toyota vibes 🤔

Looks like the Jaguar E-Pace
Yeah, I guess it does sort of fit in on the streets of Irvine... 😆😆😆😆
🤌🤌 , and the "grecale" means: Greek in Italian :D
Sorry, but no. Grecale is the name of a wind, like Levante, Bora, Khamsin and other Maserati names
@@marinamussi8115 where is the wind coming from :) Greek wind from the Ionian Islands
@@AleksanderSzadurski I knew, I only said that the Grecale doesn' mean Greek in Italian, but it is a wind coming from Greek (Grecia in Italian)
your point?
I’ve seen Mazdas with better style and features. Plus I’d probably faint at the cost of routine maintenance on this thing.

Looks like an old Kia Sportage
