Bought my wife the GT in July. We have been fortunate with no issues so far. Now at 13K miles and our 1st service at a Ferriari/Massarati dealer in North Dallas was just under $600 all in. We have absolutely loved everything so far, but understand everyone's experience will be unique. I purchased her the trident logo door projectors (all 4 doors) for Xmas and she loves them!
That’s awesome! We love the SUV it feels super premium and is a blast to drive it just has its unique quirks. But overall it’s a great platform. I think we will be trading it in at the end of this year though when the warranty expires.
Excellent summary. I am considering a Grecale. I currently own a Giulia, and deliberately waited until the 2020 model year when all the bugs were fixed. The car has had zero problems since i bought it. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Good info. Don’t worry about anyone ranting about yours are first world problems. This is a first world car so it’s expected to be perfect in first world standards. If anyone blames you, they’re just jealous.
Got the same exact model and have the same exact issues - battery is showing low, proximity key is not working most of the time and forward collision system is not working. Servicing it next week. Thanks for pointing these out! But otherwise, it's a phenomenal car on the road.
In Europe the LE version is called Prima Series. Limited and only in first year. Was Available across all models. The main item not included is air suspension on mine. We get carbon fibre 😮trim in the Modena. Different seats with contrast stitching, heated and cooled etc. same wheels which I love. Free servicing for 3 years included in U.K. But having had a Porsche before, I am probably blind to high fees!! 7500 miles since April in U.K. nothing mechanical has gone wrong. Software glitches. Updates have helped. Not had battery issues. Left the car for 3 weeks. Started first time. Car has charisma. Hopefully further updates will help with other glitches. Nothing major. Enjoying having something different.
That’s cool! I wish mine had the yellow contrast stitching! I saw it at the dealer when I was picking mine up and was upset I didn’t get it lol. The carbon fiber interior trim is also very nice! So far after the updates it’s been fine. The proximity unlock still only works when it wants to though which is annoying lol. It’s a absolute blasts to drive but like you said, it has charisma lol
Nice video, I actually have a 2024 Stelvio Ti and Giulia Quadrifoglio, but was really attracted to the premium interior of the Grecale. After talking to one of my trusty mechanics for Alfa/Maserati he was telling me to not go near one and keep the Stelvio. Apparently they’re full of electrical gremlins and the MHEV system is not proven and he doesn’t trust it for the long run. I’m so torn because I love my Stelvio, but I really want that interior upgrade that the Grecale has and I won’t lie - the hybrid system does frighten me a bit as well.
I’m in Miami , and the Maserati dealer is part of Miami Ferrari, McLaren , Aston Martin and Porsche …. Imagine the price on a service 1 at this place! I recently. Was invited to test drive the new Maserati Gran Turismo Trofeo ( my 16 yo son’s doing) so we went. The car had 10 miles and was cordoned off in an inside parking area … I knew something was wrong when the first thing that lit up was a big yellow warning sign AIR SUSPENSION ! I told the sales guy and went out to show him how low this car was off the ground ( I told my son to take a pic of the warning signs etc) . We drove off for a drive with salesman , on the way back the car couldn’t go over the sidewalk ramp , scraping the front spoiler… ofc salesman tried to blame me for putting it on Sport! Thank god for the pics … 8 guys couldn’t figure it out the car couldnt be lifted … minutes later his boss came over to apologize and offered 15k off a Quatroporte ..
WOW! That’s some BS right there! Typical scum salesman trying to blame the customer. Totally ridiculous. The air ride is the biggest fear I have with owning this Grecale. I’m curious what they would charge for the service there lol. I might call and ask 😂
How did you solve the proximity thing with the key? I would say 4 times out of 10 mine just doesn't respond and requires a 3-4 clicks to get it to unlock.
Yep, mine would work only about 50% of the time. When I brought the car in for service they told me I had a massive software update and in that update was a patch for the proximity entry. It has deff helped but still isn’t 100%.
Yeah, I never buy a first generation model year model car. I think the Grecale looks great--much better in person. I saw one in person at my Alfa dealer and I might get one in 2026 when I trade in my Stelvio. Yeah, I'd definitely would've waited for a 2025-2026 model Grecale where some of the bugs are fixed (hopefully).
Stranded twice is definitely a big deal. I’ve had speaker issues and a couple software updates needed for my rovers but I’ve never been left stranded. I really like the Grecale but these earlier models give me pause. Local dealerships are offering $15,000 discounts because they simply arnt selling.
Yea the fact it’s left my wife stranded with our toddler has left a sour taste in my mouth. It’s a great car but we’ll be trading it once warranty is over.
I am looking at the Geecale and a Cayenne i need a cycle year to pass to get the bugs out if I pull the trigger on this Grecale or someone that has 25-30k mile update.
Would highly recommend doing oil changes more frequent especially if you own the vehicle. Instead of 10k intervals consider 5k (city driving), 7k (highway miles), 2.0 L FCA Medium Family engine on Grecale is very reliable but needs clean Euro type full synthetic oil to remain so. I pay half at my local independent euro shop of what the closest dealership is asking.
@@Wimya If you are still having electrical gremlins a new battery can potentially solve those issues. It certainly does for Stelvio owners, about 90% random electrical quirks go away. Stelvio and Grecale share same platform so I assume most electrical components are the same.
