Well, if you’d like to, you’ll have to get past the locks on his door... and then the pit trap. And the ravenous hounds.
Man being able to pick locks has really opened a lot of doors for me.
I have never ever picked a lock in my life but I watch your videos all the time. This is the first time I have thought “ man that looks easy I really need to buy these”
@@youssefbencheikh8637 no but I have thought about trying to get them this Christmas
So Mrs LockPickingLawyer got her Ben & Jerry ice-cream *without* having to cut the bottom off the carton. Sweet! 👍
🤣 That was the video that introduced me to LPL. still one of my favs!
I’m a paramedic. I routinely have calls where grandma fell, can’t get up, and doors are locked. Usually the Fire dept has to come and gain entry for us with tools meant to separate doors from frames. I have thought about getting picks to prevent delayed entry and the use of force which sometimes damages their doors. This seems like a great product for me to consider for my gear. Every door I’ve came across has been standard KW style.
The problem with these specific tools is that you need a different one for every keyway. So the costs add up really quickly.
But, if you can convince work to pay for it, do it!
@@ScottKenny1978 Having work 'pay' for it, would decrease YOUR pay increase.
For a paramedic in an emergency there are MUCH easier ways to gain entry without picking the lock. For example, a traveler hook will gain entry to most residential locks without damaging and much quicker than picking.

Just checked out your site for the first time and I have got to say, I LOVE that you have these for automotive style locks, I will absolutely be ordering these in the near future. Absolute game changer for me being able to decode.
Man I’ve been watching for years but this tool really visualizes it for me I feel like I actually understand now .
No doubt. It's essentially a reverse clear lock, but it's a borderline cheat code for picking at the same time lol. Great tools.

@@jerryfick613 my same thought. No cons to having them even if you've never picked a lock in you're life. I haven't which is why these seem ideal
It's also useful as a decoder if you want to re-key locks without taking all the cores apart.
Just got a set of these and love them... It is amazing how tension is EVERYTHING and you do not use a lot at all... takes a bit of getting use to, but once you figure out how little you need it works like a charm!
What would you say the best choice would be for residential homes? Deadbolt and handle lock?
What’s also cool is the numbers on the right side show what each pin is so you could theoretically pick the lock, write down the code and get yourself a key to return later.
Man that’s crazy, it really turns actually picking the lock into a simplified ui.
Just imagine adding sensors and motor to a raspberry pi and soon it can become plug and open.

These are awesome! I'm definitely getting a set!
Thank you so much for making this video! It just saved me a lot of time/hassle in re-keying a new lock!
After seeing it, I bought three of these (SC4, AM5, and M1/MS2) though never really got around to getting good at them. I've used decoders before (for the tubular locks) but just hadn't spent the time getting good at picking locks with spools and didn't need these for locks without them.
Until today. My sister purchased some more locks for her new apartment and I was re-keying them to our family's master-key system. However, one of the deadbolts came with the wrong keys in the box..
No problem! Pulled out the SC4 decoder, opened the cylinder once, then promptly disassembled it. This saved me so-unbelievably-much time.
Also my first time "picking" a cylinder with spools, though the purist in me doesn't quite buy that this is picking (but I did at least /feel/ the spools distinctly, which is more than I've done before).
So again, thank you for making this video and letting me know these exist! Even if it did take a year for me to actually get around to using it!

Seconded. I want to see how hard it is to pick really good locks with these things!
It won't be really any different than using traditional tools - spools will give counter rotation in a false set, serrated pins will bind more often etc. Also I think you meant "false set" not "false gate". Gates are only a thing on combination locks.
The ABUS lock he picked first _is_ pretty high security. It has several security pins. LPL is just really good at it, and made it look easy. I don't know what LPL was selling them for, since they are all sold out on his site, but they are going for $40-$50 a pop on AliExpress.
The side bonus is you can use that grid to decode how to cut the key. Sometimes when I go to a re-key job, the new owners of a house don't have the keys except the front door. Using a lishi you can decode one of the other doors and make a key instead of having to pick or shim the rest of the doors. They're even more invaluable for lost car keys.
I remember in the 80s that some automotive locks were abysmal. A friend of mine was seriously pissed to find out that a pop sickle wooden stick could release his ignition barrel and then we could ride it around the recreation field. Yamaha’s we’re not good at all…LoL those latest tools look like a piece of art to aerospace tolerances! Thanks for showing us….. Phil. 🇬🇧
Gilera runner mopeds you pull a R clip off with your fingers then turn the back of the barrel round also with your fingers and they start right up lol also the old honda cub 90 they have 6 pins in 2 rows of 3 all u have to do is stick a hairpin or paperclip in hole 3 and hole 5 and it goes or once i didnt have said paperclip so i bit through the 3 and 5 pin wires with my teeth and twisted them together lol good times
This is half incredible half terrifying
Especially when you look at his website and see the ones that are made to open cars.
@@lionllew6601 He's a lawyer; the ethics of this are not his concern (he tells himself).
I mean if someone wants in to your house bump keys are just as simple to use for 90% of locks.

may i ask... what are you purchasing them for? i mean do you need them for work? is it something legal or otherwise? lol
@@fjp9 why do you assume he' s doing something illegal? Maybe he's a Locksmith?
@@t3chninja_official i didn’t assume it was legal or illegal. i’m asking because i’m not assuming. why are you assuming that i’m assuming it is illegal just because i’m asking what they are purchasing them for?
@@fjp9 for fun? you can have lock picking as hobby, or maybe want to start that hobby...
Nicely done like always ☺️
Very handy set of tools
The grid on the pick really gives you a view on how lock picking really works
Really useful if you need a new key cut as well.
Make a note of the depths at each pin, then hand over to a locksmith

Those are fantastic
I feel like I know the back of your hands better than the back of my own hands.
This turns real life lock picking into the minigame for Oblivion!
It's probably because the Oblivion minigame was so accurate to what lock picking actually looks like!
Thanks Sir , I am sure your video will help many a new thief break and enter, without having to break your window's or spend 15 or more minutes messing with the old picks O-o
GREAT JOB. THANKS.
