In this draw-along exercise, we make a 3-hour concept rendering that's "professional" enough to win you the job, but vague enough to leave your design options open. Draw along as we combine hand rendering in Procreate over a photo taken on site to illustrate a NYC rooftop terrace overlooking the Hudson River.

Love your use of existing images that you rework and recreate giving your clients a realistic impression. As we all know, a picture paints a thousand words. Brilliant.

The way you worked the photo multiple times to extrapolate a workable backdrop is very clever. I'll be using that concept in my toolbox in the future. subscribed

@@iPadForArchitecture You are right not too many architects use procreate. I think it has to do with the high cost of the iPad that we need to buy for using procreate. I love procreate because it feels just like photoshop but much well suited for iPad! It sure does make my work easier. And Procreate is dead cheap compared to photoshop!

@@iPadForArchitecture I’m just learning to use Procreate. I’m really enjoying using it. I’m finding it hard to understand how the various settings in the brush tool works. So many parameters are available! I’d appreciate it very much if u can explain them. And simple rendering videos that people like us who r learning can follow along and try them as exercises.
      Thanks. 🙂

Yeh, even photo was collaged together in Procreate. The pencil interface (plus Photoshop-like tools) makes it so fast and direct, especially if it doesn't have to be digitally perfect or in a magazine lol
