Great illustration video and great content Dami. I'd love to chat with you about the art of Architectural Photography one day. I bet it would be amazing context for your audience to learn about how important photography is to showcase an Architect's work.
Great videos! Clear and comprehensible without sacrificing comprehensiveness. Not an architect, just a fairly new hobbyist for digital art. Having most of my drawing experience with paper, I found using a “paper-like” screen protector has been a game changer in my ability to be more precise with my initial sketches fwiw. Only downside is they eat up Apple Pencil tips much quicker than other screen protectors, but the benefits far outweigh the cost.
@@DamiLeeArch - There is no workaround for the tip-consumption w/"paper" screen protectors. Fortunately you can buy third-party tips fairly inexpensive in quantity on Amazon. In my experience, after using an iPad Pro 12 for several years, I've moved off the paper screen protectors. Not because of the tip issues; rather, primarily due to slightly reduced sensitivity/accuracy. It's not a substantial amount but it's enough, particularly when I'm using conceptual massing tools.
How is this woman, an architect, which in itself is an extremely complex, demanding discipline... and still be able to produce content which really is of professional level quality.. truly amazing. She's a natural speaker, with incredible presentation skills... rare type of talent.. wow
That’s literally what I’m thinking. I’m a foreman currently going back to school to get my bachelors for computer science but one of the never even consider architecture till now will look into it I have a m4 iPad Pro tbh
I'm not an architect and I watch your videos just out of interest and your perspective but making your own templates and tools available to the public is super cool. Thank you.
You helped sell me on getting an iPad. I’ve been on the fence about it but seeing how you applied it to work helped me see how beneficial it would be for me at work as well. It would honestly be a game changer. Thanks! Update: I did get an iPad/apple pen and it is in fact game changing.
I've been contemplating on whether or not I should get one for work knowing I go on site visits every now and then. But seeing that I won't need to carry a thick stack of drawings on one hand and my phone on the other absolutely justified my decision. Thank you for this! 😁
My pleasure! Yeah I honestly hate carrying stuff and am always trying to reduce, so having to only carry around an iPad for most of my needs has been a breath of fresh air
In Procreate, Turn on “drawing assist” on the layer option when you have perspective grid on so you don’t have to draw a line and hold for straight line ;) Love your videos and I’m also Korean, a Architecture student studying in the US. Good to know you on UA-cam!
I use my ipad all the time, even for work, and I work in advertising. I get so curious how other people in different professions utilize the ipad i.e. doctors, lawyers, design artists, etc. and never really thought that it would be also useful for architects or engineers! This is awesome! I just saw this video on my page and I’m so happy I watched the whole thing. Loving the vibe! :)
Moved up to a pricier version for better screen resolution and processor ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA , but battery drains faster, and not having a button for control of apps turns out to be a problem. I’ve been watching almost all your videos, I’m still in my early years of high school (sophomore year) but I’m trying to get a sense of what I wanna do in college, and architecture has always been up there! You’re videos are extremely helpful because they give me a perspective about being an architect that is literally impossible to find online. Anyways thank you! (Btw I’m still stuck between architecture and industrial engineering)
As a 25 years old as of now in his laster semester before I need to write my master thesis I just can say: Try it out ! If it is possible/affordable for you to try out these types of work do it. If this is what you really like than let nothing stop you from going that way. And if you find out midway, that it is not what you want to do in the long run then this is also an important lesson and you can try something else. Just now that sometimes there are hard days everywhere. I wish you all the best on your way and that you will be happy with whatever route you might take.
Many architects in the past also made and produced commercially available furniture and other items...choose architecture if I were u, because it's more design driven, industrial engineering is a more manufacturing-driven field

As a practicing architect and a fan of hand drawing I have never been able to find the correct work flow process for me while considering time, quality, order etc until now. I can now see how an ipad is a GAME CHANGER for my career and am excited to go all out! Special thank you to your videos, your content and your advice I can finally take that step for my future. I also appreciate the available templates as well 😅
Yo, I'm loving the floofy hair; it looks amazing! 💅 Thank you for the templates! Another reason you can feel confident on site is the fact that you simply have the iPad. Having tools on you says: "I'm here to get stuff done!"

Hi Dami, Thanks for the explanation. I’m considering whether to buy an iOS or Windows tablet, as I'm currently studying architecture and a bit unsure. I’m confused about which one to choose because I’m not sure if AutoCAD will run on an iPad. Could you let me know if it’s compatible? Also, I'd appreciate your suggestion on which device you'd recommend, given that I’m an architecture student. Thanks!
Hi Dami, great work, you finally helped me decide to buy it! The thing is I dont know which one is yours? And which memory card you recommed me? Thanks a lot
Interesting video! I’m a boat builder who specializes in interiors. I still work exclusively on grid paper and on the board. I know I need to enter the 21st century, most of my drawings are for joinery and hardware. I would love your recommendation on a single program for the tablet. Thx for the vids and keep up the good work!
Thank you for sharing the links of what your using! I love this idea but everyone just say they use an Ipad as you know there are many options and I didn't want to purchase a Ipad and then regret not getting one with other feature. I was wondering how I can make the most of my iPad to have a creative outlet. This video really inspired me to try out the things you mentioned! 😍

Aslymu alylum (peace be with you) Damele. I would love you to make a video about how to design (from A to Z) the building/structure and talk about all the different engineers and architects who are involved in the design and how they work on it and the level of work for all the professionals involved in the construction......

Hi Dami,
Thanks for the explanation.
Thanks!
좋은정보 감사합니다 현장 벽지에 드로잉 했었는데 패드를 잘쓰면 큰도움이 되겠네요
Dami, can you please make a video about what Architecture is like to study at uni, and also how people can prepare before starting a course.
I have several videos on that topic, check out my videos under the ‘School’ playlist
Thank you for the video ✨
thanks what i was looking for
Hi Dami, great work, you finally helped me decide to buy it!
Dami out here convincing me to get an iPad and I already have one
I wanna ask is 11inch enough or i should get a 13inch. Someone please help😭
Im intrested on all the apps you use thank you so much I love your videos god bless
I already have the iPad and the procreate, all I need now is the job 😭 but it's hard when they require experience for an internship
Terrific! Thank you for sharing.

Looks handy!
is it true that you prefer LIDANS scan for initial drawings during remodeling
what is the minimum memory an ipad should have so that we can easily manage the necessary architecture apps?
Thank you dami =)
Thank you for sharing the links of what your using! I love this idea but everyone just say they use an Ipad as you know there are many options and I didn't want to purchase a Ipad and then regret not getting one with other feature. I am looking a Sketchup. Can you let me know why you went with the software you did? Ill watch this video more to find out if you say why.
Thank you for sharing!
