I really adore the more muted colors of this theme and dare I say almost darker setting. This is probably my favorite castle theme from Lego for those reasons, it's just so unique for lego.
Fantasy Era Castle is the theme I grew up with! To this day I still have my knights army, and my brother's skeleton army sorted and preserved. Last week I finaly bought the large lego Lion knights castle set and I plan to swap all flags, banners and figures with the crown knights'.
This theme came also with a 5 minifigure pack for each of the 4 factions. Was a good way to easily grow your army. Although 5 minifigures + weapons for 15€ was pretty expensive without any sidebuilds or anything.
You should see how much they go for now! I think castle could follow a route like Star Wars did with their recent clone trooper and Hoth rebel trooper packs.
I had a lot of these sets but the Dwarves Mine was always my favorite. I've sold off all of those sets except the Dwarves Mine. As a kid I just thought the Dwarves Mine was awesome and it was my crown jewel out of the sets I had.
I have every one of these sets of this theme except the medieval market place. Such a nostalgic and fun theme, easily in my top 3 LEGO themes of all time!
So glad to see another person gush over the skeleton ship! One of the best sets from fantasy era. my top 3 are 3.Troll Battle wheel 2. Skeleton Ship 1. Troll Warship
I had almost all of these. I received your #1 as a surprise birthday gift, and that was what started my college comeback to Lego. It was a brilliant set, but my number one has to be the Troll Battle Wheel or the Warship. Those two were just unreal.
It was great decision for me coming back to building and collecting Lego after years of trying to “grow up” from it. Buying the ATST from 2016 was my comeback.
Got the large castle in 2007 (king’s castle siege 7094) I was 6 years old. All these years later I’m rebuilding it again. And I must say it holds up it’s still such a great set!
You provide a good point for number two pick, in my opinion, it's dynamic but doesn't hold weight to the quality of medieval market. But number 1 is a perfect pick as its overall is just of higher substance and uniqueness!
Aaaah, this theme came out just before I dipped back into collecting. The only set I have from it is the Medeval Market. Kind of a shame: those troll figures look pretty cool. Ditto for the dragons.
I still think that Lego will release a new castle theme. Why? Because, it's like they've been teasing it from 2020, with the lion knight castle. And, the thing about demographic? Dude, what kind of sick child doesn't love fantasy?
That’s what keeps the light visible at the end of the long dark tunnel for me. I do believe that castle will return. They have teased pirates, castle, and maybe others. Another reason for this channel is I want to get people invested in castle so that consumers can help sway Lego into releasing product. #bringbacklegocastle
Medieval market and dwarven mine are joint first for me. I have rebuilt both of them into more elaborate mocs as the core of !y castle realm. I also love the mountain fortress, so that would be number three! I have all these sets, and its my favourite era of castle after the classic dragon knights.
Great sets to own.!That’s really Iinspiring that you make Mocs out of old sets. I want to soon release my own “line” of castle sets on this channel in the form of Mocs. Make play set models as Lego would create them and then show case it to UA-cam.
@@FitBricks That sounds very cool. I think my collection owes a lot to having "been there at the time". I really got into lego in the very late 90's and never had a "dark age" so spent most of my later teens building those mid 2000's fantasy era models. My village moc Eliamire began when I got the original Blacksmith's shop and the rerelease of the Guarded in c2001. I quickly rebuilt them into a far more elaborate set up, and I think the town peaked at three grey baseplates and ten green ones, with a forest. waterfall castle and complete village. The Market village came out much later, when I'd already scaled it back again, and inspired the final (for now) redesign of the tavern and village green, while the old blacksmiths shop remained as the main building on the village street board.
I have the Kings Castle set, got it when it released as a kid. 10/10 Lego set
I have the trolls castle and that is a good set, but not as good as the castle
Which one there’s 7 kings castles
I really adore the more muted colors of this theme and dare I say almost darker setting. This is probably my favorite castle theme from Lego for those reasons, it's just so unique for lego.
I love it for the creativity and obscureness of the builds. Lego had a lot freedom to do a lot for a theme rooted in fantasy.
This video brought me so much nostalgia... keep up the good work
The next step is new castle theme from Lego

I love the unique idea of the Troll Battle Wheel. I love the concept of it. Great video once again.
Appreciate it! Creative set for sure.
2:55 is a siege tower, it’s actually a real thing that soldiers used to get over castle walls in the Middle Ages
I had a lot of these sets but the Dwarves Mine was always my favorite. I've sold off all of those sets except the Dwarves Mine. As a kid I just thought the Dwarves Mine was awesome and it was my crown jewel out of the sets I had.

One of Lego’s finest
So glad to see another person gush over the skeleton ship! One of the best sets from fantasy era. my top 3 are 3.Troll Battle wheel 2. Skeleton Ship 1. Troll Warship
The set is too perfect

Im rediscovering that too as I rebuild my old Castle and Kingdoms sets! Such a great feeling!
The Skeleton Tower was my first Lego fantasy set and is still my favorite to this day. Otherwise the list is pretty great!
We need Lego castle back
Love your enthusiasm and love for Lego castle. Great Channel man, +1 subscriber
I’m a monotone speaker so I’ve been working on that. Thank you for the compliment!
I just love this video 😮

I’d die for the Medieval Market set!
the fact that the trolls are running in the wrong direction ruined the trpll battle wheel for me as a kid
What do you mean?
Shame 9-12 year old me took apart the castle, rip all the small pieces i cant find anymore :/
yeah same, i loved that set however I broke, lost or degraded some of the pieces. Good to know i'm not the only one.
Looks as if the knight on the skeleton’s prison carriage has the wrong helmet on the box art. Neat.
Yeah I notice that too when editing, must of been an early version of the set. I own the set and I wish It came with that helment
On Lego.com when searching for the instructions for this set, it shows that picture with the wrong helmet
@@FitBricks you would’ve preferred the classic one over the space helmet with visor?
The one on the box is the right one

Why does nobody ever include the chess set on these rankings? It’s one of my favorites 😭
The chess sets are too overpowered

Not as good as the lord of the rings wave, but still a OG
Lego castle walked so Lego lord of the rings could run
I like it!
I’m glad you enjoyed!
Excuse me. You forgot the 5615 set with a one knight and armore building
I don’t want to include small boxes, minifigure packs, chess set, tic tac toe. They would be too over powered
This theme was terrible. Best castle sets were from 1984 to 1992
I do like the use of the custom baseplates and variation of knights back then. The blockier build is charming.
