  • The Lego castle sub theme 'Forestmen' is a classic collection of sets from 1987-1990. This was a unique spin from the classic castle builds. These Robin Hood inspired bandits are known as heroes that steal from the rich and smuggle it to the poor. The builds is what stands out the most for this sub theme with its castle/hybrid builds. The popularity of the Lego Forestmen have sparked a remake of the Forestmen Hideout and an inclusion of figures in the Lion's Knight Castle.

You forgot to mention the Castle in the forest "Bricklink designer program" set. Now that is a very detailed set, full of playability festures ❤️

I have the River Fortress and the River Crossing. Despite being smaller, the river crossing was my favorite. I loved the setting (in my mind an abandoned outpost in the woods that the forestmen took over) and it had a lot of play and story value when I was a kid. The big tree is also hollow with a ladder going up the side to reach the bridge. I also built a Castle in the Forest last year, and it is such a fantastic set for someone who loves the forestmen faction, and kind of makes up for me not having the forestmen hideout or camouflage outpost as a kid.

I have most of the original 1980's Forestmen sets and the only one that don't have is the "Forestmen Crossing set #6071".

Lego should simply remake our vintage sets . Enough with big expensive sets we need smaller sets and mini-figs to play with .
Also i don't understand that no one that owns a 3D-printer has tought into making their own Lego sets already and why not sell them for cheap like all the knockoffs we get on Temu, Wish,.. ?
How can a set from 25€ in the late 80's early 90's can go up to 900€ is silly . Proof that we need remakes and no more licenced Lego sets crap that somehow no one wants anymore tbh .
The so called Space revival is all except the real "vintage space" from the 80's . The only great thing is the cool space logo on those sets from 2023/2024 for the rest is silly .
When i go thru the Lego Ideas website i see some nice ideas yes but others are way too complicated surely for kids from a certain age and like always an item/object to put on a shelve and not play with which is really not what it's meant to be imho .
